NFL Thread 2019

I always felt American football was complicated. I understood very little of what he said. That's one of the reasons I don't play Madden.

Anyway thought that was a good answer by Watson.

Patriots got to be looking at bringing in a receiver or pass catching TE.

Josh Gordon has been brutal.

Absolutely... We’ve got nothing at TE, too many injured with the OL & it’s not helping having limited receivers (also injured). I was hoping Michel would build on a solid first year but he’s struggled to establish himself so far with the run game.

The D is playing spectacularly well, but I’m worried about the offense after yesterday’s performance.

That’s a brilliant response!

I don't even blame Michel - there are no real holes.

Nothing on offense worked yesterday and that starts with the Oline.

Wynn and Harry are needed back. Hopefully Meredith can show something too, at least he's an NFL receiver.

Meredith can be activated if both Wynn and Harry are? PUP is different from IR but not clear on how it would work bringing players back.

I'm sure pup guys can come back and only 2 IR players?

I may be wrong, but hopefully we can get the 3 back.

We also miss Develin in the run game

Giants trailing Cowboys by just one game

Edit : Although we have Vikings, Patriots and Lions coming up lolzy
Came here to say this. Yeah I can't see us winning any of those 3 but as long as Jones continues to get good reps and look better than Haskins, I'm happy.

Absolutely. His impact, especially in the run game is underrated.

Hey, you never know. But it's the hope that kills you. I think we may win at least 1 or 2 of those, especially Vikings at home. Detroit look spectacular in some games and self destruct worse than Giants.

Should be permanent but better than nothing.
Should also make a team think twice before signing him in future. At least now we know that the 73rd dirty hit of a career gets you a suspension for the rest of the year.

Should have happened a long time ago.
Did that ever happen before and what chances does he have, if he appeals?

Our defense looks better than in the first 2 games, hopefully that trend continues, if so then we have a chance of going 2 out of 3. DG came back down to earth a bit yesterday but showed composure after the picks.

Race for the first pick is hotting up.

In all seriousness though, if I was a Broncos fan, I would want the whole Flacco thing to be over with quickly and Elway should be gone too. So far that's going well.

Boomer is absolutely insufferable

It was a boring game to begin with. Once I heard him, he was describing what was going on like how you would describe to someone not watching.... like a literal description, I turned it off.

Elway has been terrible. I wish he’d just go do something else.

Elway will be gone at the end of the year, dunno how easy Flacco's contract will be to get rid of. Will never understand why they made that trade, Elway should have been fired for that alone.

Just look at our starting QBs since he retired...

Brian Griese
Jake Plummer
Jay Cutler
Kyle Orton
Tim Tebow*
Peyton Manning (crippled)*
Brock Osweiler*
Trevor Siemian*
Paxton Lynch*
Case Keenum*
Joe Flacco*

*Signed/drafted by John Elway

It’s like he’s trying to protect his legacy or something

My god he’s like the Woodward of the NFL. Only Peyton and Plummer were top level out of that sorry bunch.

Also, you got the wrong Griese.

What was traded for him?
Was a fourth round pick, Ravens used it on Justice Hill. Ravens were probably gonna have to cut Flacco if they couldn't find anyone willing to take him considering the amount he was on the books for there.
