NFL Thread 2014-2015

Would have much preferred a Packers vs Pats Superbowl.

However it should be interesting nonetheless, have a weird feeling the storyline is already written for Brady and Belichick. Everyone including myself was ready to write them off after that loss to KC and with all the fuss over deflategate it would be typical Pats to pull out a win here. In saying that though surely the Seahawks can't turn in as bad a performance as against the Packers again.... literally everything went against them and they somehow came out the other end with the win.

Anyone got any interesting bets on for tonight?

Absolutely millions of markets available, Katy Perry related and everything in between. Going to have a look now and see if something takes my fancy, if anything it'll help me stay up till the end.

Please let something like this happen this year:

They are saying on the NFL Network now that Chancellor wearing the brace, Sherman to be taped up and Thomas shoulder not 100% following the dislocation in the NFC championship. If all that is true the secondary could be a bit banged up. However I wouldn't be surprised if it was mostly talk and they weren't all that bad apart from maybe Chancellor.

People watching on C4 or Sky?

Carlson's brilliant, but if that utter cnut Colin Murray is on, I'm switching to Sky.

The story of Seattle's defense this season has been reserves stepping up and fitting into defensive schemes without a hitch, in the second half of the season. The injuries won't have a huge impact on the game; New England will have to execute perfectly regardless.

C4 for me. I like Carlson, although he starts getting a bit doddery after about 2am.

Reinbold's not bad on Sky, but the rest are hopeless.

I just want it to start now. Feeling the nerves big time.

Channel 4 has Carlson who is by a distance the best pundit around and Coombs is a very good presenter too, might stick with them or just switch between.

Edelman needs to stay the other side of Sherman, although we'll have to throw his side too once in a while to keep them honest.

Sweet! Adam Richman is part of the C4 team

I think this game will be tight and likely settled late in the fourth quarter, perhaps a final drive. Unlike Denver, New England can play the physical game and not get pushed around. Seattle's secondary must perform as the pass rush isn't as good as last season; give Brady time in the pocket and he will find receivers. New England's corners are very good and may shut down Seattle's receivers leaving Lynch and Wilson to win the game on the ground. I think Blount may match Lynch today and Gronkowski may be the deciding factor.

Give me New England 23-17 Seattle. Another deathblow to all the Peyton fans out there if Brady gets a fourth championship. The last two SB appearances for Brady, he departed the SB with his team in the lead only for the defense to not hold the opposition, leaving him with minimal time to get his side into tying/winning position. He's one fluke catch by the opposition and one drop by his own receiver from being 5-0 in this game.

feck me I feel sick, I can't sit still :nervous:

One moment I'm really excited to see what Brady does then the next I'm shitting it at the prospect of Seattle doing what they did last season. So confused!! I don't know how the players can handle the waiting and the pressure!

They've run onto the pitch but still 20 mins to KO!

That was the briefest moment of silence ever!

Should've sung 'Let it Go' instead... :D
