NFL Thread 2013-14

Honestly can't believe this is going to the final game, could be about to witness something incredible.

Chiefs resting players but I refuse to give up hope! Come ON!

Hmm, Simmons seems to make a solid point here. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/10199559/the-quest-mediocrity

--So when Peyton Manning threw four TD passes in already-decided fourth quarters in Weeks 14 and 16 to break Tom Brady's record? I totally supported the stat-padding. You always go after a cool record. Always. Brady's biggest mistake was not padding his stats more in 2007 — he could have easily gotten to 55-57 touchdowns and put that record away for life. Still, if Brady did in 2007 what Manning did in Week 15 and Week 16, the media would have had a Justine Sacco–level freak-out. It's just a fact. Remember pieces like this and this? In 2013, you're the Sportsman of the Year. Pretty funny. Anyway, I predict Evil Manning goes for the 55/55 combo (55 TDs, 5,500 yards) and tries to put that record away. That's exactly what he should do. When are we seeing 55 TDs and 5,500 yards again?--

What does Manning do today? 25 of 28, 266 yds, 4 TDs in the first half as Denver lead 31-0 at halftime and set a new scoring record.

I have never ever seen someone complain about a soccerball team scoring too much.

"Yeah, bit shitty of Ronaldo to keep scoring when they were 3-0 up, think of the Real Betis players, nasty, isn't it?"

I liked the fans in those articles bitching about Belichick going for it on 4th, rather than taking easy field goals, which would be the less likely way of scoring.......

Brilliant game, fantastic win by the Packers.

Had to laugh at Chase Daniel attempting a pass when he was about 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

Just run, you fag!

Cowboys are pretty big priced here, any reason? :s Surely their home crowd will be up for it and make it difficult for the Eagles?

Rodgers is god

This is how the season should end, shootouts for the division and to end with Cowboys vs Eagles, this is gonna be fun. Shame Romo aint playing, would have made it more exciting, maybe for the wrong reasons lol

He picked up an injury last week and is inactive. Means there will be more emphasis on the running game for Cowboys, which should have been the case for a few games in the last few weeks (eg Bears, Packers).

That opening drive was solid then Murray fecked it up. Dallas' defense is going to be tired by the third quarter at this rate. And it's already a terrible defense missing it's key player (Lee) and Ware not up to par this season (for various reasons).

Those beginning of game team talk things look feckin moronic, look so forced. Apart from that, the one givin it always looks like a massive roid filled knobhead! Annoying.

This could actually go either way.

Witten has a pass go through his hands and to an Eagles defender (Eagles score a few plays later). That's the kind of play that if Romo were fit and playing he would be crucified for throwing a "game-changing interception" while ignoring the fact it wasn't the QB's fault (in this case, Orton).

They need to reseed for the playoffs. I hate the Niners, but it's ridiculous that they finish 12-4 and have to go on the road to face the 8-7-1 Packers.

Been hearing a lot of people with that same view. It is all a bit mental but it's how I has always been done isn't it?

Great drive by the eagles. I think that will be enough for the win.
