NFL Thread 2013-14

Another stop/turnover here and it makes things interesting...

Did I say he did? I said it would be if. Continuing with the no huddle, shotgun offense up 19 in the 4th. Now is the time for clock control not passing all over. Christ, I'm an armchair QB just like you, ffs, and I don't claim that I'm right on everything.

It's Chip's team so he can and will do as he pleases.

They put up 33 points. If they lose, it's not because of his "cutesy offense". Having watched Kelly for years (and in particular remembering him running out a 12 minute drive in the fourth quarter to kill off Cal), I'm confident that he won't be "passing all over" to massage his ego. If he does it, it will be because he thinks it will work.

Lovely throw. Still a small chance...

Onside kick fails. Game over.

Good game. Eagles were fantastic in the first half. RG3 did a lot better in the second half.

Will be interesting to see how teams respond and cope to the pace of the Eagles offense and whether they'll be able to keep that pace going for an entire game.

Oh my god, if he dodged like that on purpose, that is incredible. NFL players are just physical freaks.

There's currently a thing on c4 following the bengals training camp, quite interesting, will be on plus one in about half an hour.

Is that Hard Knocks?

I think this is the 8th season - they follow a different team each year (although some teams have been featured more than once).

Thinks its an excellent show - amazing how much access the filmmakers get.

I remember the series looking at the Dolphins - was the time where Chad Ochocinco/Johnson got arrested foe headbutting his ex. They even showed the meeting between him and the head coach when he was told he was being released from the team.

Yeah that's the one, thought it was very good, going to have to see if the previous seasons are up for download. Shame it's not a weekly thing.

Ended last night with some rookie I think ending training camp with a fractured ankle and broken foot or something. Lad was in tears thinking his only chance had gone.

Shown some big mental fecker too(used to be a steeler). Didn't like cameras and just looked mental

Just realised Vereen's been put on IR with designation to return, meaning he's out until after the bye in Week 10. That's another loss for Brady, he offered a dual role as the RB who could also catch.

Amendola is doubtful for tonight's game. That leaves Edelman, the rookies and Hoomanowi (or whatever his fecking name is) as the receivers for Brady to target :(

The Jets don't have much either and Brady is the best QB of his generation. If anyone can make something from nothing it is Brady. I will still give NE the edge.

Expand, he amused me a bit. One of them "feck the cameras, I'm here to play and to win. Simple".

Yeah, he said something along the lines of "the cameras don't deserve to be here"...cut to intimate scene of him getting acupuncture treatment.

Harrison's a thug by the way, always has been.

Tonight's game is going to be ugly I think. Neither team has an offence to speak of. At least Pats fans can look forward to Vereen, Gronkowski & Amendola getting back to fitness at some stage this year. The Jets have nothing to look forward to.

17-10 Pats.

Tonight's game I am skipping, it's going to be awful and low scoring. If it ends up great, I will watch it tomorrow sometime.

Good effort by the rookie. I doubt that's a TD.

Rex is still a cnut.

feck off Gostowski. Becoming too much of a habit with him.

Poor half. Not much quality from either offense. The missed FG at the end summed things up.

Pats clearly missing Amendola & Gronk (and Welker & Hernandez), although Edelman has done well. The rookies have played like rookies who are still learning the system - a couple of dropped passes and frustration with misunderstandings as to where the receivers should be. But there have also been glimpses of what they can do. Brady will have to be very patient with them. The Pats D has been decent.

This game is nowhere near as entertaining as when these 2 met last year & (IMO) the single greatest lol moment in sport occurred:

I'm not sure what the Jets are trying to accomplish by not having anyone back to catch the punt.

Anyway, this is too crap to stay up and watch. Hopefully the Pats will have enough to get the win.
