NFL 2024 | Lions vs Vikings - Winner takes all

Sean Payton trying his best to give the Raiders as much time as possible by letting Nix throw incompletions instead of just running.

Incredibly funny to see Maxx Crosby continue to dance around after every tackle, while his team is likely about to go 2-9.

Denver had to work harder than perhaps expected but divisional games are always different and a W is a W.

Good to see Nix doing enough on an off day, too.

Packers gonna go 8-3

Third in the division yet the third best record in the conference

Very strange that Niners don't have a better backup QB than Brandon Allen. Considering how much purdy has been scrambling this season the injury was always possible. I know that Allen had a finger injury but just in terms of profile he must be one of the worst backups in the league

NFC playoffs going to be crazy. 3 North teams out of which 2 will be wildcard and they will both have a great chance of winning on the road

We have Joshua Dobbs who I would rather see start ahead of Allen. Kyle being Kyle I’m not surprised at his decision, but I don’t agree with it.

Crazy to me we are a game off the 3 seed, and at the same time I’m pretty certain our season is toast. Still have bills and lions to play. We’d have to win out to go 9-8. Again it’s the 3 division losses that fecked us. Chiefs, Vikings away, packers away are games you can lose

Doing some napkin math If we finish 4th we’ll get the 2other 4th place teams next year (giants bears probably), the AFC south, the NFC South, and then an extra game this time not against our kryptonite. Although I think that floating opponent is AFC North like in 2021 when it was the Bengals, so that will be tricky…hopefully it’s the Browns! Could be worse

I hate non nfl fans who moan about ad breaks in broadcast but the NFL really does take the piss sometimes. I don't know if it's a sky thing but TD under review, next thing I see is PAT being taken and then another ad break

There are too many ads though

Another class win for the Eagles .Unfortunately the injuries are piling up but the division looks secure and top seed is very unlikely

Brandon Graham said he's out for the season with torn triceps after the game. I didn't see where that would have happened during the game. Despite his age, he's been their best DE by a distance all year, and was huge last night. Sheeeeit.

Absolutely massive loss. Combined with Bryce huff being on IR this defence will take a big step backwards

I thought Huff was a dud, but he'd looked better in his last couple of games. Shame he's out for at least another 3 games.

It's all on Nolan Smith and Josh Sweat. They're gonna be run into the ground. Though Fangio converted Zach Baun to ILB this season, so he could potentially line up on the edge more now, out of necessity.

What's Aaron Donald up to? Does he fancy one last run at a ring?

Who the feck wants to watch Tommy DeVito vs Cooper Rush on Thanksgiving :wenger: Ideal moment to serve main course in between the Lions and Packers games.

Interesting games otherwise. The Lions can snap a 9-game Thanksgiving losing streak and the Dolphins need to win at Lambeau to keep their slim playoff chance alive. Less important for the Packers as I think they won't catch both the Vikings and Lions to claim the division title but will be a WC team regardless. But still, I'd rather go to the Falcons/Buccs or whoever comes out of the NFC West, rather than to Philly.

This came up on my YouTube recommended videos. What a find.

A Lions v. Bills/or/Ravens Superb Owl would be fun.

Lions Bills please. I would take Lions Ravens if the Lions smoke them I guess, but I would rather enjoy the Super Bowl than stress out.

Yes I know I shouldn’t hate the Ravens, but some of the worst people I know are ravens fans and I’m petty

That Super Bowl would be stressful for me as well as I don't want Lions / Dan Campbell heartbreak but would also suck to see Josh Allen miss out again, he kinda deserves one by now.

I think we can all agree that a Lions 28-3 comeback style victory against Mahomes would be best for humanity. Or, the worse the opposing QB, the funnier it would be. So the Vikings would also be fun.

Kinda ironic coming from a 49ers fan knowing some of most entitled nutters support San Fran. Or do we refuse to acknowledge our own fanbases are full of nutters?

? Weird thing to say. Are you so upset by me knowing fans of a certain team in my own life that I really dislike? To name a few, I have a coworker who we found out was constantly undermining other workers to make himself look better to management, an in law who tried to sabotage a wedding and most holiday gatherings, and, unfortunately, more than my fair share of MAGA far right assholes. All of whom are very loud about who they support. You’re saying I can’t not want to have to listen to these people crow about a Super Bowl win because there are assholes who support every team? (I’m sure there are POS bills fans, but I know maybe 5 and they’re cool so that doesn’t impact me as much). Or just because you don’t like some people who support the 49ers? I didn’t even say I dislike these people for being Ravens fans, they just are cnuts who happen to be.

I could ask which team you support that, by your own reasoning, must be so beyond reproach/without any sense of entitlement for you to pass comment on 49ers fans without it being “kinda ironic” (are you a Lions fan?) but it doesn’t matter, it’s still a silly comment regardless.

Yeah it would be sad seeing whoever lost, I guess they’re going to have to lose regardless at some point, but it would make the day of bittersweet. I’m pretty ambivalent towards the Vikings, so Bills beating them would be fine and low stress.

My dinner actually just got moved up to 5pm, so that’s perfect timing

Oh, my bad for upsetting you a bit there but wasn't aimed at you personally but more a do we ever think "it's us/our fanbase" that perhaps draws it out. I could have worded it differently for sure. I hadn't ever heard of Ravens fans in that context but seeing as you actually know these persons, right on. I support Dallas and I've seen and met my share of total nutters in the Cowboys fanbase, absolute cretins many of them, can't fecking stand how they carry on. I've met plenty of 49ers fans, some I know personally, with a massive sense of entitlement; every Eagles fan I've met is the loudest and most obnoxious, probably akin to Liverpool fans; Bears fans still living in mid-80s, so forth.

United plays at 3pm and then Thanksgiving dinner, so problem solved. Still potentially soul sucking and depressing, but at least it’s my team killing my soul and depressing me. And United’s playing as well.

Not upset, just confused because it’s a weird response to me disliking individuals I…dislike. All good!

Saw a social media rag rumor that he's interested in Kingsbury and Saleh. If that's his top candidates might as well keep McCarthy, unfortunately. :(
Would probably be a good choice for OC/DC, not so much HC though.
