NFL 2024 | Divisional Round

Who’d have thought the two NFC East teams would make the championship game. And none of the 3 NFC North squads.
Expected eagles, as I imagine most did, so this post could really be rephrased to who had the commanders beating the Lions

This thread didn't have that much fighting and bitching when Brady and the Patriots won every other year. Clearly what the world needed
It was even more peace, love, and unity when the Broncos won it.
I find it hard taking this post seriously after you previously admitted to trying to get me banned. I will now stop engaging with you though because you're fairly duplicitous and you're just trying to rile me.
Sir, we don’t use words like this in NFL talk. Kindly check yourself.

That's because there were a lot more Pats fans back then. 10 posts about refs and 5 people would respond.

Now, only P-Ro responds to it all so it just feels that way.

Yeah, the Giants got so much enjoyment out of that, not like they missed out on a franchise QB like Lamar or Allen in that very same draft…
He should still be on the Giants but the front office has been on meth or whatever the past few years. The point is, he clearly is a generational running back who was worthy of the second pick.

You could have Walter Payton come back and modern draft school of thought says you don't draft him at number 2. Weird but it is what it is

Also, we would have fecked up that pick whoever it was

So am I but that would've been the case for every AFC team against the Chiefs to be fair  Literally every team I wanted to win this weekend lost. Texans, Lions, Rams, Ravens ffs. NFL making up for that Liverpool win and Arsenal draw.

I also felt for him after that game against the Chiefs a few years ago. But then I remember he's engaged to a hot model/actress and is a multi-millionaire doing what he loves most, so at least he has that going for him I guess :D
Ha, true. I don’t think anyone played quite so well though and still lost. But yeah.

Alright smarty pants

The amount of NFL content available is incredible and I feed on everything when the Eagles are good. Reminds me of how I basically don't consume any European football content at all, because of how bad United have been for the last decade.

Yes he’s a generational running back and no he wasn’t worthy of being the second overall pick at all, it was an awful pick by the Giants. Adding a great RB is for teams in a luxury position who have most if not all of their other positions sorted out. If you’re picking #2 you obviously haven’t (and the Giants didn’t), the root of your problems go way deeper than RB. Name me one RB picked in the first round, let alone top 10 who brought his team (SB) success in the last years? Now compare that to QBs… You’re nothing without a franchise QB.

What do you think of a move back to RFK? Suppose it matters less to you down south but fedex is a dump. It’s a little further to RFK from my house though (the one game a year I go to there)
Never been to either venue. The times I've seen Washington it's been in Atlanta, although I did see them play in Knoxville in a preseason game about 30 years ago.

Regarding Saquon one of the things I have realised this season is that I always thought that he was good but never really realised how good he could be in the right setup. You have to wonder how many players kind of end up in the wrong place and we never kind of see their full level.

Wow, thought he was Raiders bound. Gonna play Dan Campbell and the Lions twice a season, nice.

And a big big boost to Williams’ career probably.
Huge win for CW. Now he just needs Ryan Poles to stop doing things like trading the 32nd pick for Chase Claypool.

That probably means Liam Coen to Tampa, and in Vegas…eh, who cares. Aaron Glenn is the next coordinator up, right? Ol’ Pete wants another go as well I hear.

Looking like Aaron Glenn is going to the Jets:

Unless he manages to escape that is.

Tough for the Lions to lose both and the Seahawks are interviewing their OL coach for our OC job for the second time today so they might lose him as well.

We already have Coen.

Yeah, both in terms of the ability of the team around them, the play style, and personality fits, there are huge variables. Happens in all sports

McLaurin is a prime example of that recently. Finally gets a solid QB and immediately balls out.

Yeah, lots of people round here were talking about his time had been and gone and he wasn’t a real threat for defences anymore.

I still hate the nickname scary Terry, in all its uses
