Don't agree at all on your interpretation of this play. He isn't a qb at this point, he's a running back. The protection isn't the same for almost every other qb in the league in that instance.

Had you actually read my previous post you would see that I said I don't agree with these penalties. But the NFL disagree and have been yellow flagging them constantly this season. Josh Allen in particular has been the main beneficiary of these flags because unlike Mahomes, he actually wants to get hit. I can't be arsed to look back at all our games but I think that's the first pen we've got this year for a QB hit when he's going down.

The hip drop one should also have been a pen but they have been missing that all year. I distinctly remember 3 or 4 instances of refs missing them.

Yet Allen has been faking sliding over in games and getting the defenders to pull out. Then on subsequent plays he slides and gets a bit of contact from the defenders to get the flag. Not much made of it because the Bills aren't the Chiefs.
