NFL 2024 | Divisional Round

Yeah but taking the day after off! Can't do that for all playoff weekends :D
I’ve optimistically got my first meeting at 10am tomorrow, annoyingly booked before the fixtures were announced for this weekend. But the next two weeks I’m not starting till 11am on Monday morning.

I mean mahomes is brushed on the head at most there
This was super slow motion. Your head doesn't move like that if you've simply been brushed. Had it had been a more direct him you're looking at a concussion but thankfully only the forearm caught him.

Don't agree at all on your interpretation of this play. He isn't a qb at this point, he's a running back. The protection isn't the same for almost every other qb in the league in that instance.

Yep, Lamar gets far worse every other week and never called because the defence aren't super human, they can't turn it on nd off just because the quarterback is about to go down.

Had you actually read my previous post you would see that I said I don't agree with these penalties. But the NFL disagree and have been yellow flagging them constantly this season. Josh Allen in particular has been the main beneficiary of these flags because unlike Mahomes, he actually wants to get hit. I can't be arsed to look back at all our games but I think that's the first pen we've got this year for a QB hit when he's going down.

I did read it. You say you disagree then go on to defend it.

I don't think I've ever seen you post even once that oh that's a wrong call or whatever against your chiefs. You're obviously biased as we all are with our teams but most of us can sit back and say we've got the benefit of this one or that one but you can't.

Snow helps Philly. Run the ball.Run the ball. The Rams really have to go for those fourth downs anytime they’re close to to end zone, within reason.

You're claiming that these aren't given. You haven't been watching the NFL this year if you think that.
Only the real egregious ones from what I recall, like the texans guy on tlaw.

I can't recall thinking that's bull on many other instances except mahomes last night. Although I am sure it's happened.

The hip drop one should also have been a pen but they have been missing that all year. I distinctly remember 3 or 4 instances of refs missing them.

I wish I could do this. I’m in my busiest time of year so I’m flat out the next day no matter what. Last year was grim  Commanders beating the Ravens would be worth going in the next day though

Maybe that's where the issue lies. They are pretty much all bull but the one that everyone focuses on is the Mahomes one. Yet Allen has been faking sliding over in games and getting the defenders to pull out. Then on subsequent plays he slides and gets a bit of contact from the defenders to get the flag. Not much made of it because the Bills aren't the Chiefs.

This is why the Rams will not win. The Eagles are one Barkley run away from a double digit lead whilst the Rams are screwing up fourth down attempts.

I haven't really read this thread as much as I did in previous seasons. Am I correct in assuming P-Ro is a bandwagon chiefs fan?

From the 2019 thread. This was the start of the season where the Chiefs won their first Super Bowl in 50 years.
This is the first year I'll be following the NFL for the whole season. I watched all the games in the post season last year and I'm choosing Kansas City Chiefs to be my team I support because they were by far the most exiting team I watched. Bit of a gloryhunter's excuse given that they are one of the favourites but I have no affiliation to any of the other teams.

I've been typing too much. Not following the game like I should be.

Dumb defensive play call there, similar to Texas vs Ohio State at the end of the half, though that play went like 75 yards. Just play to contain within the marker, force a punt.
Amazing how the coordinators just can’t make the right decisions. It also happened on the TD run. Then again I’m used to it.
