NFL 2023

We're playing the Jets in New York in week 4. Looks like this will be my first Chiefs game live as I can combine a decent holiday to the US with non shit weather and the Chiefs. @Man of Leisure

Chargers definitely win the schedule release media award, this is great, so much detail in there

If you scan the QR code for the raiders week 15 it directs you to the Chargers website where there's 2 buttons. Click the 'Chargers fans' button and it directs you to ticket sales. Click the 'Raiders fan' button and you get redirected here:

That's brilliant :D

Broncos one had me in stitches a few times, especially with the Chargers reference. The Titans one is lots of fun but unfortunately shamelessly stolen from another famous TikTokker who does this with his girlfriend.

Is USFL any good? I haven't checked it out at all.

Not this version of it. The version in the 80s was fantastic, not too far off from the NFL at the time. The new one seems incredibly watered down, although who knows, it may improve in time given that this is the first season.

When the rugby season ends, I might be desperate enough to check it out.

Saw that these were going quickly so nabbed them now.

Nice! I’ve been to a couple games at the MetLife, decent enough albeit bland. And easy to get to by train from Manhattan. And literally feck the J E T S nonsense
I hear it's a really good stadium to watch a game because you're quite close to the pitch. I'm on the upper tier nearish to the half way line but it looked decent from the POV picture from the seat. I also like the Jets, they're a funny bunch. I always want them and the Lions to do well.

The likes of Steve Young and Reggie White were playing in that. Steve Young said that his LA team was a much better team than some of the NFL teams including the Buccaneers team he played for (which was horrific)

If anyone has 40 minutes to kill, this excellent & hilarious video shows exactly what my family & I were experiencing when we became ST holders. And we got tickets on the east side of the fecking Ol' Sombrero...

I don't know what to think. The Eagles D-Line could break him within the first quarter.

Not sure how he will do but one shouldn’t bank on his size as an issue. He’s got football IQ and is pretty elusive. Height wise he’s the same as Drew Brees, who was one of the most prolific passers in history, so I don’t think Young will have issues there.

The big x factor is whether he can develop from a college player to a pro, learns the playbook, adapts to a world where everyone is fast, and becomes a leader.

The other factor that will also determine his success is who his HC and OC are and whether his franchise surround him with adequate talent to allow him to develop his potential.

Brees had a much thicker frame entering the league, even Murray does. There have been some twiggy QBs drafted over the years but none first overall had the slender frame like Young. He has the smallest arms I've ever seen from a QB.

Even if he is elusive there will be times when the pocket collapses, he won't be able to get away and he'll have a 6ft 8 monster ragdoll him for a sack. Unless he's one of these guys who is far stronger than his frame suggests then he's going to get hurt.

And Brees didn't even look as small as Bryce Young, his official measurables have to be in the same realm than older NBA measurables.

Young will obviously add weight over the summer and into his first two years. Also, I don't think Brees' success had anything to do with his height or stockyness. He was simply a master of his own offense, which comes with hard work and effort, which is far more a matter of mindset than anything else.

Arizona is currently favored in 0 games this year. The dreamed up 'trade Kyler+draft Caleb or status quo @ QB' dilemma could turn into reality.

It’s odd to compare him to Brees. The key isn’t height or how he develops into an elite QB. Of course, for long term success, that’s the most important thing. But if he doesn’t play stronger than his frame the issue here is that he will simply get injured, because even the best QBs with years of experience will take hard sacks now and again.

That is pretty interesting, thanks for sharing. And for my Pats, kinda reinforces the pukey feeling I had when seeing how tough our schedule was and how bad our team is.

I might get tickets to Jags Bills. Too good of a game on paper to be one of the UK matches imo.

Bryce Young was 5'10 1/8 and 204lbs at the combine, Kyler Murray was 5'10 1/8 and 207lbs.

I'd say his height could be more of an issue than his weight, especially since you can change the latter but not the former.

The age of some of these guys coming into the league as rookies still boggles my mind from time to time.

Hendon Hooker is two months older than Jaysom Tatum, who seemingly has been around since forever and already three years into on his second contract in the NBA.

Have you seen any info on tickets for that?

I’ve got an email about pre sale for Wembley tickets for 2022 attendees which lasts until 23rd of May, but obviously the other game is far better, and I’ve not been to the new stadium yet.

I know I could buy and sell the tickets back for Wembley, but you end up losing money with all the fees.

Not yet. They tend to release Spurs a bit later.
