Russ has liked this tweet…

Damn I’m getting toxic vibes from the Broncos. Threaten to bench him if he doesn’t waive his injury guarantees? Yikes.

Indeed.

Also, to the surprise of absolutely nobody:

Sean Payton is an absolute prick.

Payton really is insufferable. I know the trade was bad but there is too much focus on the offence in Denver even though they have had one of the worst defences in the league.

Wilson is still a very good QB, who just had a very rough Y1 at the Broncos for obvious reasons. Payton is such a bellend though. Obviously the two don’t get along but this isn’t how you deal with it.

Found these tweets interesting:

I’ve moaned on here repeatedly about the playcalling, especially on third downs, it does seem like Payton has been holding Russ back.

Regardless, though, if there’s a way to move on at QB I think they’ll take it, but the cost is going to be ludicrous.

Will say, a lot of the stuff in those tweets and others from Broncos fans sound almost word for word like the complaints Seahawks fans had for years. Then they tried building the offence around letting him play how he wanted for all 4 quarters instead of just one and it worked great for 5 weeks - then defences just spammed cover 2 and he was awful. At the time I still put a lot of the blame on the coaching but it's hard to ignore that so much of it followed him to Denver while the Seahawks kept winning.

I agree that Payton is an absolute prick.
Whyd he'd even take the job if he didn't want wilson
He got offered around $18 million a year for 5 years. And also he knew that any failings in the first year could be blamed on Russ and the next few years can be blamed on the dead cap. But mostly the money.

Jaren Hall is finally named as the starter. I have to say that KOC's QB decisions have made no sense to me, Hall should have been starter the second he was out of the concussion protocol, he is the only experiment that made sense for the near and long future. If he is good enough, you don't have to reach for a QB in the first round otherwise you absolutely have to package assets and get a QB soon in the draft.

Joe Flacco is 4 won games away from a place in the HOF, mad story this one.

I think there’s bravery and then there’s silliness. What are the actual odds of converting a 4th & 5 play at the 5 ? Hindsight is easy but I think even common sense said take 3 there

Buck & Aikman are the best

Don't much care for Buck who only got his breaks in the industry because of his dad, but he's not a terrible commentator. Funny bit about Aikman is some people think he's a Cowboys homer while Cowboy fans mostly think he's against them or goes out of his way to not support Dallas. I find he's quite impartial overall, just enjoys the game. He's definitely not like those Liverpool loving media clowns who can't try to hide their fanatacism, and he's far more impartial than Theisman ever tried to be.

I think Deion should be in the Cowboys ROH. He was a huge difference maker in the 95 second half and was top class all his seasons in Dallas, also helped on offense a bit and was a terror in the punt return game.

And Woody better get his HOF call this year. It's still bullshit certain names I won't mention got elected ahead of him.

Side note: I also think Eric Allen is deserving of the HOF call and it's nuts he's still out.

Should be enough now unless a huge error which definitely won't happen

I love this call by the lions would be deserved if they get it

I don’t understand the lions tbh. I understand being aggressive but I don’t understand this honestly
