NFL 2023

The problem is that you here and the other Brady hating guy (sorry to conflate you) think that arm talent/passing ability = the best. Montana was great (and better than Marino) for the same reason that Brady was great (and better than Peyton and Rodgers): they played better in the biggest moments, when the pressure is at its highest. Both Brady and Montana even exhibited this ability in college, but their physical deficiencies led to them both being low draft picks.

That's not how I'm evaluating who was better though, you're assuming such. I only stated better passer but not the better player. I have stated in previous threads that Montana was the best of his era, and had he not suffered that injury in 1990 might have won more. But there should be zero doubt great talents like Elway and Marino would have flourished in SF's west coast offense, even Jeff Garcia had limited success in it. Elway literally dragged above average teams to three Super Bowls in the late 80s, possibly the most valiant QB play I've seen to date given what he had to work with (and under an arrogantly stubborn and terrible HC).

I don't disagree really, I just think hypotheticals are dangerous. This guy could have done this or that if he had this or that. It's all speculation. All we know for sure is what happened.

Thanksgiving ruined again in Detroit. It wasn't supposed to happen this year...

I'm honestly starting to love Thanksgiving, especially since it's not generally practiced over here (as opposed to other US days like Black Friday and Halloween). Feels like my own personal holiday.

Got off early from work, ate turkey with the wife, played some boardgames with the Lions game on in the background, now she's off to bed and I can watch the Cowboys game in peace. Great stuff for a regular Thursday night, not gonna lie.

Indeed. Not disastrous though. They're still 8-3 with some very winnable games coming up. This game was supposed to be a winnable one as well though :wenger: :wenger:

Yeah, other than the stupid parade, it's a pretty solid day.

Why didn't I read this before the game ffs.

Easy for Dallas this. It's all fun and games until we meet a half decent team in the playoffs.

Strangely this is closer than I thought it would be at half time

If/when Dallas forces a turnover it will probably be over. Divisional games can be tough.
Moved on after that last quick strike by Dallas to finishing up a rewatch of The China Syndrome. More drama in the movie than in that stadium.
