Chiefs got so lucky. Really shit decision for the bills. Nfl really should have played the games
The Bills didn't want to replay the game, if they did it would have already happened. Had the NFL forced their hand it would have ended up in a bigger cluster feck. Most people assumed the cancelled game would be given as a draw/no contest so it would be us as #1 without the possibility of a neutral venue for the Championship game. It's a compromise with no team being properly screwed over.

Yeah, seems the fairest decision based on the circumstances. I think whatever happened, somebody was going to complain about something.

How is this fair in any possible way ? Bills who beat the chiefs lost the 1st round bye & have to play the bengals while chiefs get a bye and then play the weaker team. The least that the NFL could have done is given Bills the chance at a home game if they made the championship game. Bills got properly fecked here

They didn't get fecked mate. They literally rewrote the rules in this meeting to give them a concession (which I have no issue with) and to avoid forcing them to play the postponed game before the playoffs.

Source?

Not a lot of choices of teams to support for me this playoffs.

AFC it's Bengals and then maaaybe the Bills I could see myself root for. Woldn't mind the Chargers but don't think they'll get far.
NFC I like the Niners and Eagles - wouldn't mind the Giants either but don't think they've really got a chance.

Basically just anyone but the Chiefs or Cowboys please. God forbid a Super Bowl between them two.

He officially retired in 2018, so this year would be his first crack at it. Would be the first returner to make it in NFL history IIRC (the other special teamers are kickers/punters).
Would like to see him get it much for the same reason I'd like to see Ronde Barber get it (outside of my Bucs bias). Hester defined what an impact returner is in the modern era, Barber literally defined a brand new position of slot corner in the Tampa 2 scheme.

Breathing tube was removed from Hanlin last night. He's already facetiming teammates.

Absolutely fantastic.

That's great. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and can eventually start playing again. It would be awful if he has to retire because of this.

Chris Pronger played in a finals game less than 48 hours after suffering the same injury. There is precedent for Hamlin to get back on the gridiron.

I don’t think the Bills have been screwed particularly as the league had little in the way of options, but I think we can all agree if KC win anything this year it’ll have a huge asterisk next to it.

It would have already been played if they did.
Okay so it's just your opinion and far from confirmed then

Most of them flew back to Buffalo the same night. By the time the NFL was figuring out what to do with the situation, they might've realised there simply wasn't any time left for the game to be resumed. NFL's VP also confirmed on Wednesday that there had been no talks about playing out the game.

Very weird that you wanna pin it on the Bills that the game hasn't been played out.

I’m broadly the same but I would quite enjoy Von Miller becoming a back to back to back SB champ so if they reach the big game I’ll be a Bills fan for sure, even though he’s obviously not playing on the day.

*Won the super bowl in a rebuild year

If there was a desire from them to have played all 17 games before the playoffs it would have happened. I totally understand why they didn't want to resume the game this week. But had they wished to play it out it would have happened. You don't just rip up the rule book before consulting the teams about whether they wish to fit it in and thus resolving the issue without all of this.

If they lose to the Bengals in the playoffs then they were not good enough. I fancied the Bengals to beat them last week anyway.

If the Bills are as good as people think then this shouldn't hurt them

I can't see the Bills getting to the Championship game with all their backfield injuries.

If the AFCCG is in a neutral stadium I think the only fair thing to do would be hosting it in London.

 it just got mentioned on the Broncos podcast I’m listening to cos they’re talking about coaching options and Leftwich got raised.
I truly wanted us to be the worst to really punctuate how shitty the NFC South was this year.

The Chiefs have by far the worst Special Teams in the NFL. In punt returns we are historically bad and the worst team since the 2013 Chargers. Our ST coach Toub just thinks it's bad luck and seems to think his job is to try to create TDs from punt returns instead of making sure the ball is in Mahomes's hands the next play. Dumbass.

Brady and the Bucs seem to have all the luck in the world don't they? They qualify for the post season despite having a bad season, also having home advantage for their wildcard game. They can also rest players for their final regular season game which is almost like a bye week for them, knowing they have already won their division no matter what happens.
