Brady and the Bucs seem to have all the luck in the world don't they? They qualify for the post season despite having a bad season, also having home advantage for their wildcard game. They can also rest players for their final regular season game which is almost like a bye week for them, knowing they have already won their division no matter what happens.
No more luck than Washington two years ago. We’re not resting anyone apparently, we need all the offensive reps we can get at full speed. We might put some on a play count, but this certainly isn’t a bye week by any metric.

Looks like Michael Thomas has played his last game for the Saints.

He restructured his contract in what seems like a precursor to the Saints releasing or trading him and being able to spread out cap hit.

Sad ending to what at one point looked like it was going to be an incredibly prolific story.

If only he had not been injured and maintained his performance. My dynasty team would presently have Thomas, Evans and Jefferson :(

No doubt.

It’s amazing how far that franchise has plummeted from its heyday in the 80s. It used to be a franchise other teams emulated. Snyder is such an abhorrent cnut.
You have to be a special type of cnut too, to take the top spot from the Browns for the shittiest franchise.

1 big game and 1 huge game tonight. Hope I can stay up for it.

2 lovely plays there on the opening drive.

That is such a shame that incredible trick play was flagged for a quite bullshit holding. The ring a ring a Rosie's just before too... The feck was that

I mean I guess it makes sense to interview him but I hope we don’t go with him.
Because of targeting gate or what’s it called?

He’s an amazing HC though.

Bountygate yes, but I also think he’s a bit overrated and should have achieved more in the time he spent with a QB of Brees calibre.

It would also require giving up even more draft capital that we can’t really spare.
Drew Brees's peak was before I got into the NFL and I was shocked how good his stats were when I looked them up recently. On paper he's an all time great but barely gets spoken of.

He does get his flowers to be honest but he played in the same era as Brady and Rodgers so that’s just unlucky I guess.

Who do you fancy?

Fair enough about Brady but Brees and Rodgers both have 1 ring and Brees has five 5000+ yard seasons and Rodgers has none. Again, I wasn't watching at the time so it's hard for me to make an informed comment but it seems weird how Rodgers seems to be held in such high regard (...and he's a wanker) and Brees isn't.

That was nice. First comfortable game in a while. Hopefully the Jags do the business tonight.

The Titans are such a hard team to watch. They're basically the Stoke of the NFL.

Why is it that in every Titans game the commentator will always say "Henry tires out defenses and is most effective in the 4th quarter" when that's just bollocks? He is always fecking gassed by the end of the game and his stats take a dive:
