NFL 2022

These teams are playing a completely different sport to what bills & chiefs are playing. The playcalling is embarrassing and there is no rhyme or reason to what they are trying to do on offence. Patrick Surtain is good but surely you should be able to get Mike Williams involved more. Same is true for Sutton & jeudy

That was so bad from the Broncos blocker.

Hey at least we can look forward to not having to watch that Denver offense in a primetime game next weekend.

They are bad, mainly because they aren't executing as well as last year and haven't adequately replaced the loss of Odell and Woods and Miller on the other side. Odell may of course still return, but it may be too late by then.

No they're bad because they lost all the guys you mentioned and they also can't block anybody and hence can't adequately protect Stafford, who has been sacked a boatload of times and only has Kupp (that he trusts) to throw to. They need to rebuild (or rejig or reload) the offensive line and the offense generally but they're less able than other teams to address some of these issues with draft picks.

This makes no sense. Either you're too injured to play or you are fit enough to play an entire game, but 3 carries in the first quarter and then nothing seems weird.

He was deemed good enough to share the backfield with Javonte friggin Williams last season (and earlier this season by the new coaching staff) but now he's so bad he can't get playtime ahead of Latavius Murray who they just brought in from the NOLA practice squad.

Nathaniel Hackett has done absolutely nothing so far to suggest he's capable of being an NFL head coach. On the contrary, on quite a few occasions so far he's looked desperately out of depth.

Maybe Hackett fumbled the page of the playbook that contained his carries.

You've had some rotten luck with coaching hires after Kubiak. And there are enough brilliant offensive minds available imo who could do something with that offense. To be fair to the Broncos I thought Hackett might've been one of those as well before the start of this season.

On a completely different note, it had completely gone by me that Dawson Knox' younger brother died right before the start of the season. Great to see him catch that game-winning TD this week.

The Denver D being so bloody good makes the horror show on offence even more painful.

Even a bang average offensive team would be probably 5-1.

Interesting.

Sort of a catch-22 isn't it? On one hand we're getting plenty of competitive games, but on the other it's because most of the league is pretty mediocre.

Outside of the Bills, Chiefs and probably the Eagles I really don't know if any of these teams are good.

The one that won the Super Bowl? Very obviously worse.

Looked at the stats in 2015. This year's side is on pace to be about 26 total yards less per game; slightly better rushing (+3) but worse passing (-29). Scoring is the worst, down 7 pts* compared. Now that's across a full season in 2015 versus six games this year. Surprisingly, the offensive output is better than 10 teams but they rank last in scoring offense, just below the Bears and Steelers. There's hope if the defense performs to great standard.

2015 Denver offense scored less than the total reflects - six scores came from defense or special teams, placing the offensive output around 19.6 pg vs 22.2 pg overall.

The defensive scores is a good point to be fair, and this year they’ve managed to move the chains pretty well at times but then utterly fall apart in the RedZone which goes to the yards vs points problem.

Exactly. Russ + Hackett can't even do the simple things right that would allow this defense to win games for you.

He's in Hackett's doghouse, probably because he thinks he's a fumble liability. Much as Akers is in McVay's.

It says a lot about the trauma the Giants have inflicted on me in the last 10 years, that I am non-plussed about our 5-1 record at the moment. You just know at some point that Barkley and Jones will revert to the mean...

On the flip side, looking at the remaining schedule, there is no one outside the NFC East I'm worried about facing. Whoever finishes 2nd has a great chance of qualifying via the wild card.

This is so fecking true.

This is everything I hate about our own fans. An absolute embarrassment and sadly in groups I go into he is not on his own especially in his Cooper love and the way he behaves

I can’t stop laughing at the way he says ‘it is my turn now’ in that silly pretend to be angry character
