There is legitimate concern within the Colts organization that Andrew Luck will never play again in the NFL. WTF?

http://dailysnark.com/report-andrew-lucks-career-colts-fear-wont-able-play-nfl/

Coming off a shoulder injury last season, Andrew Luck was slated to start the season for the Colts and regain Pro Bowl form. The reality has been anything but.

After Luck’s return was pushed back to Week 2, the Colts quarterback has yet to see the field through Week 10.

Now the Colts believe the injury, which isn’t healing properly, could end Luck’s promising career.

According to a report from ESPN 107.5 / 1070 The Fan’s Tony Donohue, Luck is going to miss the entire 2017-18 season, but he may never play in the NFL again.

The #Colts are at a crossroad. Im told it is very possible Andrew never plays again. The team is looking at a top 7 pick in the draft..

To be clear: People within the Colts org have legitimate concerns as to whether Andrew Luck will ever play again. Not everyone is on the same page with GM Chris Ballard when he said last week that Luck’s injury wasn’t career-threatening.

When I say “never plays again” was told theres a chance he never plays in the NFL. I hope thats not the case as I am a huge #12 supporter

I actually don't think he is better than half the starting QBs. He is still worthy as a backup QB though. Hopefully, something will come out of it for him.

I do think he should be starting and he is so much more than a back up. You can do though ask the teams look at their staying quarterback and iv no doubt Kaepernick is better than at least half of them

I knew it, the second he said that, I knew that it would end badly.

That's brilliant and very true , Romo had been doing a great job commentating but given his record on the field especially when it really mattered perhaps not a good idea to have a pop at people who have proven themselves when it mattered .

Romo didn't say anything bad, he complimented Peters but pointed out that like Sanders he wasn't an avid tackler, there is nothing wrong with that.

Do you believe in Huntley? I mean Texans did the same with Watson when he first started. First two games were all slant passes for 10 or less yards but then they let him loose and he was amazing. I feel the Packers should just write off this season and let this guy loose. Sure he will make mistakes but if he turns out to be half the player Watson was then at least you can trade him for a draft pick. His missed a couple of long balls to Jordy last night but that one throw to Devante was very catchable. His receivers sometimes need to make brilliant plays to help this lad out. And he seems so much better in the no huddle offense.
He Has some potential. I‘d just go for it. We have nothing to lose. We either get a high pick by losing out, or we acquire one by trading him.

He's had pops before at him .I don't think there's any malice in it from either side they are both probably enjoying it .

"Dak says hi and bye"

We have talent. Especially considering how late we usually draft. The Pats for example don't have it better than we do. On offense, we might have the best passblocker in the league in Bakthiari. That's the most important position outside of QB. Bulaga might be the best RT in the league. Nelson and Adams are good receivers, Bennett is a good TE. We have great depth at TE. On defense, Clark and Daniels are as good as it gets when you want do defend the run. Martinez is becoming a better and more dominant player every game. Truly plays sideline to sideline. Perry is alright, too. Even in the secondary we have some solid guys. Clinton Dix and Burnett are great tacklers and House is having a tremendous season. The guy is not allowing anything.
Talent is not the issue. It's there. It's always been there. Even in the secondary it was always there. It's no coincidence that both Hayward and Hyde found themselves becoming great players for other teams.
We just found ways to screw up whenever we got cloe to going all the way (Seattle for example).
We're great at identifying and developing talent. McCarthy is part of this. But I just don't like our playcalling at all. Whenever the defense is performing, McCarthy starts doing weird things and puts terrible pressure on them. We never care to establish the run. We just don't give our D a chance. And that is down to McCarthy. All we do is run slants and hope for Rodgers to extend plays. That's not enough.

We have opposing views of how this season goes  Interesting to hear what @Sylar thinks!

Bakhtiari and Bulaga have been non-factors this season for injury. And I'm beginning to think he'll never play a full season anymore. 2nd ACL tear now and I think he'll be lucky to make top tier again.

Bennett was a good TE. Dropping catches, and he's been pretty underwhelming this season. Kendricks is also on and off. Rodgers meh. We have depth, but none have made a difference yet.

Clark and Martinez (and maybe Daniels) have been the brightest stars of defence this season. Perry and Clay have not made enough plays to warrant praise. In fact Clay has been underwhelming since his breakout season and never reached the same level.

It's really really optimistic to consider House as a shutdown corner. Infact one (or maybe two) of Lions TD came during his cover. He is playing well though.

Never said he was a shutdown corner. But the guy has given up a passer rating of only 40,2, ranking third in the whole league. That‘s a pretty great season, at least until now.
Bulaga is bad luck. Shit happens. But he has talent. It’s not the teams or managements fault he tore his ACL. It’s not the managements fault that the first backup in Spriggs is on IR too.
I agree that Clay should be gone as soon as possible. We can actually cut him without dead money, if I’m not mistaken. We should consider this option. Perry is, when healthy, a good player. No superstar, but solid enough. But he is our only respectable pass rusher. That’s an issue.
But with Clark, Daniels, Martinez, Josh Jones, Randall, House, Burnett and Clinton Dix there is enough talent to do much better.
We don’t have the best roster in the league, but we have a solid one. We should do better, even without Rodgers. The Pats won games without Brady, there is no reason why we shouldn’t win some without Rodgers. But the way things are, we might as well lose out and get a great pass rusher.

Thing is, I like Clay. He has tons of potential, but somehow Capers defence rarely gets the best off him. Same with Cobb in offence.

We can't get the best of two of our biggest wage earners and it's probably hitting us in other places (eg. retaining Hyde or Hayward).

We should be able to win with Hundley and I hope MM comes into some sense and gives him some freedom.

So I had plenty of hopes going into the season with Giants, just thought Broncos would beat us with @Rado_N watching and then having to suffer him behaving like Hermoine in Harry Potter. Guess what, we beat the Broncos but lost everything else

I don‘t know if Clay has much left in the tank. He just can’t shed blocks anymore. No matter how much time he gets. Once he‘s engaged with a blocker he’s done. Don’t think Clay‘s issues are about scheme. I agree about Cobb and the rest, though. Cobb and Clay have not enough impact to justify the cap hit. It’s annoying that they earn so much while Hyde and Hayward became elite at other teams.

Why do you have to be like this? The Broncos suck and the pain is real.

We suck harder and the pain is realer. We lost to Chelsea and then Giants were absolutely murdered by some team recently moved somewhere :wenger:
Yea allowing 51 points against the Rams is probably worse than allowing 51 points against the Eagles.

Thanks, that cheered me up.

Ah, dont get me started lol. I think with Rodgers we look like a playoff team but our secondary is not good enough at all.
I think we got decent players but the franchise have let down Rodgers badly by not getting him a team to help him out. Basically we rely on him being superman to even make the playoffs (but ultimately lose against teams who will burn us, whether it be Atlanta, Arizona, Seattle or SF in recent years).

I think we screwed up Clay by moving him around after we won the SB.
And ive said it before, but I think MM should have been sacked after the seattle loss. Yes Bostick should have left the ball for Nelson on the onside kick ,but everything else was the conservative predictable nature of MM. His play calling is so predictable that even my dad knows when we do that, run, run pass thing.

Its no surprise Hundly looked decent when he went no huddle. MM came out after the game saying he trusts Hundley, but does he really with the play calling that occurred?
Also we had 2 weeks off to prepare for that Lions game. Its inexcusable how easy it was for Lions.
As has been said, one man out (even if its a QB) shouldnt mean the whole team collapses.
If we had BB as coach, im sure we would have one at least one if not two of the games since the injury.

Packers have been lucky to have Favre followed by Rodgers in about 20 years worth of football. But to only have 2 SB rings (and I think making SB only three times) is shocking.

I did say the franchise and esp MM would be exposed without Rodgers bailing them out. This might sound harsh but I think MM is a coward...

So, Bridgewater has been activated and Bradford could go on IR.

Jerry Jones is apparently so pissed at Goodell for suspending Zeke, that he hired a lawyer to block Goodell's contract extension and is threatening to sue the league.

Really hope he comes back to the Pats.

Also Jerry is a cnut.

Dislike Goodell but feck Jerry.

I do think there needs to be an independent arbitrator for issuing suspensions. Some of the lengths people get suspended is ridiculous.
