Packers season is over imo. NFC has just far too many good teams for the Packers to get past . Even if they go 5-5 from now which is highly unlikely I don't think 9-7 will be enough for the NFC

Unfortunate to see Rodgers out. I think that does it for GB.
They're as close to a one-man team as you can get in the NFL. It's a shame; Rodgers is one of the few players I'd tune in to see just to watch them play.

Best QB talent since Elway.

Kevin Cadle, the guy who used to do all the games on Sky Sports until last year has passed away. RIP :(

Him, David Johnson, OBJ and JJ Watt are all basically the most entertaining players at their position. A shame to see them all out.

It is miracle though that with his playing style and the bad O line he hasn't had more big injuries. I kind of worry the same about Wentz as well , he makes a lot of great plays but there is a crazy amount of risk involved

NFL - the hardest professional sport to predict

Like who? Bar Eagles, everyone else is shaky this year. Entire NFC North is playing rookie QBs (Hundley vs Keenum vs Trubisky) and it's says a lot that Bradford is the best QB of the conference. Hawks, Falcons...none really in good form.

If you look holistically, this is basically a very good season for GB to dominate or on flip side with Rodgers out, good season to scrap it out.

Couldn't disagree more, you're barely a top 10 team in the NFC at the moment with all these injuries. Seahawks, Lions, Vikings, Eagles, Cowboys, Panthers, Falcons, Saints, potentially even the Skins and Cards are better or in better form than you are. Your whole defense is depleted, your O-line can't protect a rookie QB who looked shaky, and I imagine you'll run the football often which is not something the Packers have done very well in the recent past.

I would be really surprised if you make the playoffs if Rodgers is out for the rest of the year. Also, Keenum isn't a rookie but a seasoned journeyman who knows the NFL pretty well, and Bradford isn't the best QB in your division, Stafford is by a country mile.

We need a better QB. Siemian will never win us the Superbowl. He just isnt good enough.

Siemian is decent. The problem yesterday was a complete team capitulation where everyone from QB, RB, WR, and various defenders didn't show up. That's on the coach.

Not disputing what you say, but the "better" teams only look so in paper. Falcons losing at home and scraping a win past games. Seahawks, Cowboys don't look convincing at all. Lions, Panthers and Saints are the next best teams from the Eagles, but this is proving to be a difficult to call season. Let's see how this goes.

And as to Packers running the ball, there is no hope of that either. This O-Line opens no holes to run.

Our best shot is to set Hundley up with screen pass plays and snap short yard throws where he can get the ball off quick and beat the rush. The rules protect hits on QB better when in pocket anyway.

Not looking good, but this season specifically, I think will throw more surprises.

He just doesnt have the ability to move the chains to give his defense a rest. He cant "make" plays happen like the good ones can. And yes I agree the defense was horrible. They contained Zeke for 8 yards yet gave this no name back over a 100. I guess that was too much complacency coming out of the bye week thinking they had this in the bag. And unfortunately those are the type of games that have been costing us over the past two years.

Vikings will win the division imo, they are a very solid team and are winning games even without their first choice QB & RB. Of course everything can change very fast in the NFL. I think Packers definitely need a new qb though, I wonder if they can tempt Romo out of retirement to play for the team he was a fan of

They were terrible that year the Broncos won on the SB.

Osweiler probably performed slightly better if going off QBR (41st vs 56th).

Manning rated 11th best in the postseason - ahead of Hoyer and Jones.

I'm not talking about statistically - I'm talking more in terms of whether or not they got the job done. And why isn't Manning listed on the regular season page you posted ?

Sad. Hope theres a nice moment for him at Twickenham this Sunday. Dude is legend. Still remember him and Halling doing Sky broacasts before it became as huge as it is now.

Would be nice. I think our play calling needs to be so much better and that where im not confident. Ive always said Mccarthy would be exposed without Rodgers bailing him out. Would love it if he proved me so wrong and came up with plays that get us a chance for the playoffs. Just not as confident as you are.

They were ?

Manning was atrocious the latter half of the 2015 regular season. From the home game against Minnesota until week 17 against San Diego he threw 4 TD/14 INTs. Osweiler fared better but still wasn't deserving of that big contract in Houston.

But I generally disagree with the premise that you don't need a solid QB to win a Super Bowl - besides a few outliers there is little evidence to support this assertion.
