I personally think Romo is a better QB than Rivers, but Rivers could also be an excellent option for Denver.

No way in my view. Doesn't have the same injury issues and consistently puts up insane numbers with what has been a pretty awful franchise for a while. Rivers is hugely underrated for it.

For the college football followers here: some mock drafts have DeShaun Watson at #25 going to the Texans, how reliable is that? They also have both Trubisky and Kizer in the top 10 as the two QBs picked before Watson. Who is the best QB between them, and is he also the one with the most upside and the most NFL-ready one?

@Eboue @Organic Potatoes @Carolina Red and others.

Mock drafts are never reliable because you don't really know who is picking before you and it's way too early.

Yeah figured that much, but was just curious about the QBs and if Watson could actually drop to the end of the first round.

Adrian Peterson lists Giants as a likely target if Vikings doesn't work out. God knows we can use a good RB, but don't know if he'll fit with Giants offense.

I love AD but please guys take him.

Old news - Oakland wouldn't fund a new stadium and Nevada put up $750mil (of the $2bil required) last year. It's not a bad move...shame for Raiders fans...but this is what happens.

The move that makes no f-ing sense is the Chargers moving to LA. Fans there only care about winners....both football franchises (Rams and Chargers) are LOSERS. Rams tickets have been selling for dirt cheap...and now, you're adding the Chargers to that lol

It's impossible to say, lets imagine that the 49ers take Re Foster at 2nd, if Watson isn't picked at 25 you can bet your backside that they will trade their second to pick before Houston. But if watson drops beyond 15th Houston might trade to pick sooner than 25th.

It's really impossible to tell.

well the Jets are going to see a lot of improvement over the next 3-4 years!

BREAKING: President-elect Trump will name the owner of NFL's NY Jets, Woody Johnson, to be ambassador to the United Kingdom, official says.

The funny thing is that the most popular team in LA by far is still the Raiders, and will continue to be since they'll see Vegas as an incentive to travel for the game.

Didn't Brady & the hooded one apparently vote for Trump?! I look forward to Donald announcing a project to build the Death Star with Bill as special ambassador.

On a side note, nice to see that swamp is being drained!

I didn't get to see much of the other two. Watson will have the most exposure and they'll pick him apart between now and the draft. The best QB prospect in college right now is the kid at USC.

TBF to Trump - all presidents do this...uber rich guys donate to campaigns and expect to be rewarded with ambassadorships. Long standing quid pro quo in DC

Obviously the Raiders in Vegas will be great for people coming into town, now they can add seeing an NFL game to their trip. It will be interesting to see how many season ticket holders are locals and how many are just bought up by the Casinos and Hotels to comp to the high rollers. The luxury boxes of course always go to companies and the pretty rich.

The NFL like all major sports in the US tries to walk a fine line with being friendly will the gambling business, going to make it more difficult with a franchise in Vegas.

Will they have slot machines at the stadium? Fancy poker rooms that offer a view of the field instead of luxury boxes?

I have a feeling the atmosphere will be crap for the home side since a sizeable portion of the attendees at each game wil be from out of town and not give a shit about the home team.

If I was forced to pick a team with a gun to my head, I probably would say the Raiders, remember playing as them on a Madden game back in the 90s
Probably Madden 96/97

What are the rules on your team moving location, do you get a new choice, or are you stuck with them, or being in the UK is this irrelevant

The NFL and gambling have been on an inevitable collision for some time now. This may bring it to a head.

As for the atmosphere, the Raiders already have a large fan base installed on the left coast. Hell, depending on where you live in LA the drive to Vegas may not be that big of a deal relative to getting to the stadium. Not to mention constant direct flights from LA/SF to Vegas which would be almost as short as the drive in the end.

If you'd only probably pick the Raiders with a gun to your head, I'd say it's totally okay to swith allegiances as long as you don't become a Patriots fan.

I would be surprised if Watson goes that low. I see him as going somewhere between 7-14 and the second QB behind Trubisky (who I think will go #2). Watson has Russell Wilson potential and there are about 6 teams who are in dire need of a QB this year.

I think Patrick Mahomes II (PM2!) may end up the best QB on this draft regardless of what round he ends up. Granted, going to the right club with the right coaching and the right supporting cast goes an extremely long way in progress.

I'm like @Raoul on this. I see Trubisky as the more polished QB at this point, but don't see DW going that late, although I think #24 is Buffalo, and they've got a recent history of drafting Clemson players. If they could trade up, then Buffalo is a possibility.

As a Clemson fan though, I don't want DW to go to an NFL team that expects him to play immediately. I would love for him to go somewhere where he can be an understudy for a couple of years and iron out some issues in his passing game before being thrown into the fire.

Wouldn't mind seeing him go to the Saints at all (behind Brees) or to the Chargers (behind Rivers)... (Or to my Broncos )

I think Denver may choose an OL for their first rounder this year.

In terms of not having to play right away, the Cardinals may look at Watson at 13. Otherwise, the Bills or Browns might snag him at 10 or 12.

I'd absolutely hate to see him go to Cleveland. Buffalo wouldn't be bad as he'd be on a team with 4 or 5 other Clemson guys, but I think he would beat out Taylor relatively quickly. Going to the Cardinals wouldn't be bad as he'd learn from Palmer.

Teams before that lot needing a QB though include the Bears (3rd), the Jets (6th), and the Chargers (7th). Out of those, I'd rather see him at the Chargers, even if they are a Broncos rival.

Prescot had a great year, but that was obviously supported by a great offensive line and the best running back in the league. The Broncos had neither of the two to support Siemian, who still managed a decent year. Siemian's college career is completely irrelevant since the circumstances of his college and pro teams are completely different. Its pretty bizarre that this even has to be reinforced. Elway and Kubiak, who know a thing or two about the QB position, were obviously sure he was good enough to take over from Manning, but they failed to provide him with the appropriate O-Line and RB support.
Bell doesn't play for the Cowboys

I love Bell and his style, but I sense Elliot is going to put up bigger numbers. He has exploded out of the gate and only Dickerson has run for more as a rookie.

Perhaps. But then again in context I guess you also need to consider the quality of his o-line. Elliot is absolutely fantastic though and whether he will or won't be better then Bell is entirely a toss up I recon. One thing though is elliot has looked as tough as rocks all year. Bell is susceptible to injury at a position where injuries are not only deveststing but common.
