It's not ass simple as who had a better season stats-wise. Who was more valuable to their team? Ryan had to balance out a horrible defence. Rodgers had to drag the team up with a injured defence and no running game. Compared to that Brady had a relatively easy path.

That's not true.. Till the 49ers game, most people had written off our D. We'd managed to make Kaep look like a good starting QB. We didn't get our shit together on Defense till after that.

We've had a below par season when it comes to ST as well.

And once we lost Gronk, most people assumed Brady would just struggle in the passing game. So things aren't really as easy as it seens when you look in from the outside.

It's frustrating how the media has swept Brady's incredible season under the rug because of the shitty suspension he got for something he didn't do. The guy is 39, and playing at a level that he wasn't ever at in the past.

I thought it was in the post-season, wasn;t sure
When do they close the voting, i.e if Ryan busts out of the play-offs straight away and Brady/Rodgers lead their team to the Superbowl can that have an influence?

I'm not sure when it closes to be honest but I know voting is open. I do recall though that I read somewhere that playoff performance can influence voting so maybe it's a bit further down the line than before they commence. I don't know though and could be wrong.

So why does everyone follow the team they do, if you're UK based of course.
First superbowl i watched was 2007 NE v NYG. I went for the pats because I already had a soft spot for the celtics. If Butler hadn't made that INT I'd have been 0-3 watching the Pats in SB.

@Rado_N among the reported potential Bronco's HC who is your favorite?

If anyone needs to get extra hyped before WC weekend starts - this is a good watch.

This is going to be a great weekend. United playing early AM here, followed by 4 playoff games over two days. Can't fecking wait.

Mine is pretty simple, on John Madden 93 on the Megadrive (I was 6) - my brother told me that we would press "random team" once, and whoever it brought up was your team for life. I got Pats and he got dolphins.. ()

Pats fan. Being in the UK technically they're my local team...
But mainly because when I was younger they had the word England in and Peter Griffin was a fan.

Oakland now officially without their LT Donald Penn. They can't catch a break.

Kyle Shanahan, I think he's ideal to sort out our Offense and has a good Broncos connection obviously.

I've seen some rumbling that Vance Joseph is the favourite but I don't like that. His current D sucks and he'd apparently get rid of Wade which is monumentally stupid.

There's risk in appointing anyone to their first HC job but I'd be much happier with Shanahan.

So good. Still can't get over that play Brown made against the Ravens. As a stand alone play it's absolutely fantastic but it just goes to a different level when you consider everything else attached to how important that play is. A matter of seconds left on the clock, if he doesn't make that play the Ravens likely win the game as the clock runs out. If the Ravens win the game they take control of the division going into the final game and it'd also mean that if the Ravens won their final game against the Bengals (with the playoff shot on the line I think they would have) then we wouldn't have made the playoff's at all.

Plays like that are just another thing that separates Brown from most WR's.

Shanahan seems obvious but I'm intrigued by Toub, since I'm not a Broncos fan I would like to see what he can do.

He'd be more of an unknown quantity I think. He's touted as a strong leader which is all well and good but it's hard to gauge how good he'd potentially be as a HC when coming from special teams.

Apparently they could make a decision pretty quickly so we might have an answer by this time next week.

You can say the same thing about any other coordinator, HC is a different job. In reality the only things you know is that Shanahan is a very good OC, that Vance is a pretty good DB coach and that Toub is probably the best special team coach in the NFL with the best leadership skills among the three. He also knows Oline coaching, Dline coaching and he knows how to work with young talents.

The one problem with Toub and Vance is to identify an adequate offensive coordinator.

True enough, I think I'm just drawn to the idea of having an Offensive specialist right now, although granted that may be a little short sighted. I also don't want to lose Wade which puts a big downer on Joseph if that rumour is accurate.

At the end of the day I trust Elway so I'm sure whoever he chooses will do a good job.

Yeah, the Broncos are lucky to have Elway.

Any good bets for tonight?

I like the Raiders to win at 2.70 (which I wouldn't even mind losing) and Seattle vs Lions under 43 points at 2/1, but not sure. I'll probably change my mind a few times more before kick off.

Bell to have a multiple TD game sounds interesting as well.

Hoping the raiders can cause an upset & brock will feck up.

I did a pick the winner contest on another site and there's 3 of us undefeated all year.

Only problem is you can only use a team once and I didn't expect it to get to the playoffs. Only team i haven't used, Houston. Go Texans.

Although just started, going with:

Texans
Seahawks
Steelers
Packers

I wouldn't touch the Raiders game. Take the over on the Seahawks / Lions because of Stafford. Take the under on how interested I am in the opening day of the playoffs.

I fecking love Clowney. Him and Watt will destroy Olines next year.

Irvin out of the game now, the Raiders can't catch a break with injuries atm.

And then we run it at 3th and 4, ffs.
