It's a bit of both, I think. The new OC is making much more bold and smart plays (no 6 yard slants on 3 and 27!), the defence has really stepped up, especially Darius Slay and Ziggy Ansah, and the run game is still weak but Ameer Adbullah shows promise.

But GB look shite, no doubt about it. Rodgers seems to be playing like he's injured, Eddie Lacy is fat and they're missing TJ Lang tonight which never helps.

Injuries mostly, but the play calling going to Clements. Hes terrible. Also defence arent making plays (theyve had opportunities for takeaways but have let it slip through their hands quite a few times over the last few games).
 
I thought the game in GB was mad. This one could be a season changer Packers. Such a shit first quarter, all these injuries, that penalty by Peppers, defence not stopping Lions in the middle

To overcome that with a 61 yard throw, mad. Totally mad!
 
Just seen the play, that facemask call is an absolute joke. Not once did Jones try to grab the facemask, which is deemed legal if you immediately release it, but he merely brushed it.

Obviously the Lions have been shit at the start of the season and the responsiblity is on them, but the season could be different if that facemask isn't called and the Seahawks' illegal bat is.
 
Just watched the game on game pass. Holy moly. This will kick start the GB season for sure.

Some of the calls are iffy though.

In any case, if this doesn't kick start their season nothing will.
 
Just seen the penalty call and final play - horrendous call, never a face mask in a million years, but feck me what a TD pass.
 
Was the right call. Anyway, there was PI on the previous play anyway so all good.
 
:lol: was clearly the wrong call. I don't blame the ref because it looked like a facemask, but my god there is no way to defend that after seeing the replay

Jim Caldwell didn't have Calvin in there because he was expecting a lateral! fire this buffoon

Aye, he said that every time a QB's head goes down like that it's called, and that it should be even though it wasn't a proper facemask, it was a good call. Confusing shite.
 
Yep, great call. Almost evens out the missed PI which would have meant Packers winning with a game winning FG instead of a TD. Ah well :)

I think there was a finger hold on the mask. Thy way Rodgers turns his head is more like a mask pull than the lateral stretch you get from a collar grab.

Still can't blame the ref for this. It was a stupid risk to take at the dying minutes of a close game.

Can always count on the NFL to serve up some excitement, shame Red Zone is back on the crappy non HD red button rather than SS5 :(

I don't know why they don't have RedZone on HD. It's not like they're showing anything live on SS5.
 
I'm sorry but the officiating is total shit. How can they say that was down?? Vikings will win the review.
