I have watched the first 3.

The problem with Hard Knocks is they focus on very average teams. The teams from the playoffs dont have to do it, nor do the worst few.

The Jets with Rex one a few years back was good. Atlanta last year was yawn. Still worth watching.

I never mind which team is on it - I just like seeing the behind the scenes, and the struggle players have in trying to make the team. There are usually a few characters that emerge, but it's the ones who are on the cusp of making the team that fascinate me the most. Loved seeing Kourtnei Brown's pick six. Loved seeing all the players and coaches congratulate him in person face to face. The end shot of the episode with him cradling the game ball shows how much it means to them.

Who knows, another disappointing season and maybe my Niners will be on there next year!

No doubt, its a good show. It's just a shame that we will not get to see one of the top team, or top QBs on it.

If a team has not been in a playoff for two years, then they become a candidate - could well be the Niners next year!

Any fantasy players in here? If here

Dallas were on it a few years ago - not sayin Romo is elite, but he is a step up from the usual QBs on the teams they feature.

I really liked Ocho Cinco when he was on it years back for the Bengals. I still follow him on Twitter and Facebook - like him. Saw this a few weeks abck:

He seems to do things like this all the time

When he was playing with the Bengals on the road, he would let people know on twitter which restaurant he was going to, then he would buy meals for the first 100 or so that showed up.

Yeah I'm really hoping as an Eagles fan we don't qualify to be a candidate. If we do then Chip Kelly's time as head coach will most likely be over and we'll be left with a roster full of players picked to work in his system.

Left our game against the Bills at 19-13 last night to then find out we lost 19-43 for feck sake

Saints/Texans on Sky Sports 3 right now for anybody who needs their NFL fix.

I have finally chosen a team, will support the Eagles. Come on Sam Bradford

Haha good man! You can join us in bleed green nation. Welcome aboard. Prepare for fast pace offense and our defense to spend a lot of time on the field.

How come you chose the Eagles mate?

The preseason means nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Results mean nothing you are absolutely right. As an Eagles fan I'd be kidding myself if I thought we'd go to Lombeau field and win like that. But it's good to see what players can make an impact and for players to return from injury. For example Sam Bradford threw 10 passes (for 10 completions) and 3 TD passes. That really means little but he showed some very impressive touches and took some hits and got back up. That's what I liked the most.

Last season was my first full season as an NFL fan and I kind of looked around for a team to support, really enjoyed Chip Kelly's fast offense and then I decided to read up a bit on the Eagles and I realized that they have really passionate fans even though they haven't been that successful and just liked the overall vibe. So Eagles it will be

If you wanted, rich history, passionate fans and a tie to United, then Green Bay should have been your default team! Green & Gold, inclusive.

Brady's before and after

Eagles fans are really stupid and horrible though. They once booed Santa Claus and also cheered in 1999 when Michael Irvin was placed on a stretcher with head and cervical injuries that ended his career.

Basically what I'm saying is they're more like Liverpool fans.

Liverpool has a better chance of winning the title than Sam Bradford does staying healthy for an entire season.

Based on his career so far yep I'd agree. But he's going to get better pass protection and better weapons to throw to than he ever has before. It'll need careful management but I'm sure Chip will handle that.

So, Apart from the draft not seen any other coverage of the NFL over Summer. How is my Miami Dolphins team looking for the coming season? Are we finally a playoff team or nah?

I think Miami have a good team this season, could make the playoffs. I heard the Around the NFL podcast guys do the power ratings and they are really excited about the Eagles this season.

It's been the same for the last 12 or some odd years though. We'll probably get playoffs but unless we go in as top seed then I don't see us getting out of the first game.

Was enjoyable..
seeing him chundering all over the field.
(Not sure what episode this was)

That was the third, just watching that ep now, and yes, I hope it tasted gross for him.

There's a few very likable players in that team, though.

Bill O'Brien comes across really well - seems like a great coach to play for.

Hate watching players getting cut - you can see their dreams dying in their eyes as they are told the news.

So Around the NFL guys did their NFC predictions. They picked Seahawks, Packers, Eagles, Saints as the division winners (one of them picked Falcons over the Saints). There were a lot of differences in the wc though with Lions, Cardinals, Rams and Vikings all getting some votes. Not a single vote for the Cowboys

Good article on Hard Knocks:

Honest question Texans fans.

Before Hard Knocks, did you know who Charles James II was? Kourtnei Brown? Lynden Trail?Uzoma Nwachukwu?

While some diehards will say yes, the majority had no idea. They were no more than names on a roster, unknown jersey numbers sure to fade away from the spotlight once the season began.

The beauty of Hard Knocks and what makes it the premiere docudrama in all of sports is the ability to give a face to the unknown. Every Texans fan knows J.J. Watt, but it is the introduction to players like James, Nwachukwu and Travis Labhart that really make the show special.

Hard Knocks tells their story, giving you a glimpse into who they are as people. In turn, you become invested in what happens to them, and a connection is made because you can relate to their experiences. We've all tried to chase our dreams, we've all faced adversity, and seeing that happen in real-time creates an attachment. You may not realize it as you are watching, but the associate is there. You can't help but care.

The last episode of Hard Knocks was the epitome of that emotional roller coaster. The crux of the show focused on those at the bottom of the roster and the battle to keep their dreams alive. You saw Labhart questioning his future, watched Brown's frustration, and saw Nwachukwu worry about what happens next. The drama was set early.

For Labhart, the end came calling. The final scenes of episode four showed the end of his tenure in Houston, as O'Brien thanked him but ultimately sent him on his way. Right after the show ended, one of the most searched pages on www.HoustonTexans.com was Labhart's bio page. People wanted to know more about him.

Normally the fourth game of the preseason matters little to the average fan, as relatively unknown names competes for a spot on the 53-man roster. However, because of Hard Knocks, this game means so more to Texans fans. What will happen to James II? Will he and his #HappySocks make the team? What about EZ? Will Brown finally get to play in a regular season game for the first time in his career?

Don't believe me?

Here's your proof.

Yesterday, the Texans traded a rookie undrafted free agent to the Chicago Bears for a late round pick. Not exactly breaking news right? Think again. That UDFA was Khari Lee, and because of his impersonation of Bill O'Brien, which aired on Hard Knocks, our fans were collectively disappointed. Statements like 'we love Khari' and 'please bring him back' flooded our social media channels. The 1:20 video of Lee emulating the Texans head coach had endeared him to the Texans fan base. He was no longer an unknown tight end from Bowie State, but rather a fan favorite before ever playing his first regular season game.

Why? Hard Knocks.

So, when you watch tonight's game, there's no doubt Hard Knocks will be in the back of your mind. Every time James II is mentioned, or Nwachukwu gets a pass thrown his way, you'll know what is at stake. While football may be entertainment for us, for those on the field, this is real life.

Lucky for us, we'll get to watch it all unfold...today and next week on Hard Knocks.
