Then make like Eboue and support Detroit. No one will ever think you're a glory hunter. Or Washington. They've been shit for 30 years.

Washington beat Detroit by like 49 in the playoffs a few years back.

These last few years have been the best run the lions have had in decades, sadly. Still not a playoff win though.

Barry Sanders winning just the solitary playoff game vs Dallas is one of the biggest travesties in sporting history.

The seahawks are predictable, it's either a 5 to 15 yards run from Lynch or a read option by Wilson.
Not really. Last year we'd fail offensively for three quarters and only then realise this was a good option. We'd have dropped catches, false starts and catches like Kearse's in the last minutes of the superbowl.

May change with Graham and Locket though.

Also I quite like the Lions, shame they didn't go further last year.

But the superbowl isn't the rule, the options are basic with the seahawks, I think that a team like the Steelers are more exciting with Brown able to catch all sort of passes and Bell able to exploit all sort of gapes.

As a new fan of the NFL one of the things I absolutely love is the amount of content including official highlights that is available on YouTube, football (soccer) sucks in that regard

Seahawks players should not be allowed Twitter, one of them is a real moron. Seemingly it's Irvin.

He was a prick to Pats fans on social media when he left last year. If he plays well then great but I would have been quite happy without him coming back.

Robert Kraft says the team will not appeal the disciplinary action handed out by the NFL, reluctantly accepts punishment. Says the Brady appeal is a separate issue.

Makes sense them accepting, even if they appealed I think the chance of anything being overturned is pretty much zero. The NFL holds the cards when it comes to franchise punishment, players have a bit more of a chance with appeals through the NFLPA.

I think that Kraft don't want to put Goodell and the NFL in a bad position, Goodell is the owners pet and they are comfortable with him taking all the blame.

Yeah, wonder what it's like between Kraft and Goodell now, they used to have a fairly solid relationship but from what is going around, the relationship between them is apparently pretty much over. More probable than not that Kraft didn't have the backing of other owners in the league.

I agree with Kraft though, How are we still on about air pressure? when was the last time people actually discussed football?

NFL moves extra point to 15-yard line for 2015 season
The NFL announced the extra point will now be kicked from the 15-yard line with two-point conversions remaining at the 2-yard line. The new rule also gives the defense the ability to score two points on returns.

According to the rule change, if the defense returns a blocked extra point or failed two-point try for a touchdown (i.e. on an interception), they will be awarded two points. Under the previous rule the ball was dead on a failed try.

The rule needed change but in the end it doesn't change much at all, 15 yard line means 32-34 yard kick and stats show more than 90% accuracy with those across the league so the overall impact will be minimal.

True.

And why are Tds worth 6 points and not 4, 30 or 12? If you've any class of intellect you'd demand tds be worth at least 1 million points.

It'd help morale amongst the sh*t teams like the Lions and the Jags to know they got a million points at something.

Yeah, but then they'd loose to the Dolphins by like 70 million points, and half the fanbase would loose their marbles, the half that have any to begin with.

Breaking - NFL has rejected the NFLPA request for Roger Goodell to stand aside from being over the Brady appeal. This is going to end up going to Courbet eventually, what the NFL is doing now makes no sense. The NFLPA told Goodell to stand aside and gave the NFL the legitimate reasons which is that they intend to call him as a witness at the appeal and he will be required to testify. So how he can be expected to testify and be over the appeal at the same time makes zero sense.

After following Shaq to the Lakers, i only just clicked that Purple and Gold are UKIP colours so I need a new team to follow.

Suggestions ?
