Going to enjoy the Superbowl alot more knowing the Patriots won't be in it. One day in my lifetime my Dolphins might get back to it :D.

I'm rooting for Cam and the Panthers for this Superbowl.

I'd love to see Peyton win it. Agree with your first sentence though.

Haha. Thanks for the guidance!
Good shout re having a team from the other league too (atleast to keep an eye on).

Yeah feel a bit 'typical' to support the Patriots - and watch them crash and burn now!

Am i the only Eagles fan here? Philly sports sucks right now

I'm interested to know, bias aside, who people think ranks higher overall out of Brady and Manning.

In some ways it's a bit of a futile debate because they are both so great and whoever is above the other is almost irrelevant. You could also say that it's so hard to compare because they are both so different and the things that make them both great makes them different.

On one hand you've Manning. The most intelligent of the two and maybe ever. He in some ways revolutionised the passing game. He holds pretty much all the main passing and touchdown records.

The other, Brady. Incredibly clutch and has an unbelievable determination and drive. You could say he's revolutionised the passing game too in some ways. He's also more of a team leader from an emotional perspective.

Then there's all the other things to consider. Brady hasn't always had the same offensive firepower Manning has had. But he's had the best coach in the history of the game. He's got the rings which Manning hasn't, but Manning has almost all the regular season accolades.

Bias aside (and it might not seem like it with whom I'd back!) I'd probably go for Brady just because of his end results. Ultimately having tonnes of records doesn't quite add up to having tonnes of rings. If you asked me who is the better quarterback with consideration to purely footballing talent, I'd take Manning for sure. But you encompass everything else which drives a legacy of a player, and Super Bowl rings really is a key part of that, I think it just tips it for me.

Interested to know everyone else's thoughts though. If Manning gets a second ring, I don't think I could separate them.

I hate Brady but Brady is superior.

In fact one more SB win and he'll be the best ever as far as I'm concerned (Montana No.2).

Manning is great, a legend, but Brady is Brady.

The Mt. Rushmore of QB's is Montana, Elway, Brady, Manning. The order doesn't really matter.

Though I'd take Elway, with Brady second.

So what you're saying is right now...Montana is No. 1? :D:D:drool:

Reggie Wayne reveals what Manning's Omaha audible means....

Read somewhere, he's changed the meaning of it regularly (maybe to avoid stuff like this as well as just defences catching on). I'll try to find the article.

I'm sure the meaning has changed several times since Manning's days with Wayne. There's no way they kept it the same from 5 years ago.

Agreed. Pretty sure the article in question had some of its other meanings though.

It doesn't mean anything on its own - it's all about context. Omaha could mean opposite on some plays now. He could run 3 plays where he calls Omaha and reverses the call and then the 4th time he plays it straight up, the defense expect the reverse and he exploits the gap left behind.

Equally he could use it for rhythm/ as part of a hard count or he could use it as a kill signal.

It's meaning is fluid and dependant on other factors. The moment a defense thinks they have the cadence all worked out is the moment they have the rug pulled from under their feet and have things switched up on them.

That's the real beauty of the Omaha call... The fact that people think it has a meaning on its own

Russ getting a little bit of deserved recognition.

How important the pro bowl is, I'm not sure though...

Wilson is such a loser...his attempts on twitter to make jokes about it are embarrassing.

According to the NFL, there were 182 reported concussions from 2015 regular-season games, reversing a recent downward trend. There were 115 in 2014, 148 in 2013, and 173 in 2012.

Think the big jump has a lot to do with players, teams, and the league being more vigilant, rather than players being hit more or whatever...

Chargers to stay in San Diego for next season. Wonder if that opens the door for raiders to move?

Nice season highlights show available on Sky Sports catch up service, called 'NFL: Road To The Super Bowl'

Some great footage from the season.

Read somewhere the Raiders owner bought a parcel of land north of San Antonio. But that city won't be growing so hot now that the Eagleford will be slowing down.

According to the oracle (Schefter), Megatron is retiring. Only 30!

Great player, deserved to be on a much better team.

James Ihedigbo has confirmed Megatron's retirement on instagram, as has Eric Ebron :(
