Sorry to disagree again:D but I'm fairly sure that the Cardinals are universally seen as the best team in the NFL, even when the Panthers were unbeaten.

They most definitely were not. I spend (well, maybe waste is a better word :D) about 20 hours a week minimum watching dross on the NFL network, and I can assure you the up until Patriots started getting injuries it was all about us. Then, when that happened, attention moved to Panthers. It was only really 2 weeks ago when Panthers showed weakness against the Giants and D Johnson started running at great numbers did people suddenly start taking real notice and placing them as the team to beat.

Fair enough.

Yeah he is rated highly. You don't win the Heisman without people taking some notice. I was just saying that in most drafts you'll see Elliot as the no. 1 RB drafted.

It's because Henry isn't a prototypical RB1 while Elliott is.

:nervous:I forgot the Patriots, but the Cardinals were seen as a SB contenders. And I like to watch NFL network but they are a bit crap, they still can't accept that the Vikings have a top 5 defense or that Green Bay are shit.

 totally agree, you do have to pick through the dross and some of the gimmick one liners on the network.

Certainly Cardinals were seen as contenders no doubt about that.

I was looking through the Super Bowl picks at the start of the season. It's incredible how many backed the Colts and Green Bay to be the final

It's difficult to say without knowing properly what the situation is with Manning's fitness.

Brock has done a very good job IMO, and if the receivers had been on their game more frequently he'd have been getting big praise from more corners. I think it'd be very harsh on him to drop him now after what he's achieved with the team, but if Manning is genuinely at 100% then it's a tough choice.

Personally I'd start Brock I think. If things aren't going well then maybe give Manning another shot.

I think I tend to agree. Brock looks like he could be a very good QB, maybe franchise in a Kubiak offence. He's not a 40 pass attempt QB, not yet anyway, but he looks intelligent and in a balanced O he could thrive.

I'm with you - let him play, regardless if Manning is fit. But what complicates things is Denver is a team built to win now, not in 2-3 years.

Don't think he needs to be in Denver's offense. They're 2-2 when he threw the ball 35+ times and 2-0 when he didn't. They have had 100+ yards on the ground in five of his six starts, while they only managed to do that in three of Manning's nine starts... It doesn't help that their O-line couldn't protect Manning as well as they needed to. It would be very harsh to drop Osweiler at this point, imo.

Yeah, as mentioned I think Brock can be a great QB in this Kubaik balanced offence.

And agreed the O line let Manning down. He didn't help himself with a lot of the INTs though.

They need a consistent running back too, Manning was constantly pass rushed because no one respects their running game.

Indeed, I think they expected CJ Anderson to be that guy after last season but that's been a major disappointment so far.

From the little of Stanford I saw, didn't they have a very good O line? I'm not saying that Derrick Henry's O line wasn't good, but a lot of McAffrey's big plays came with the help of his dominant O line as opposed to being able to make plays despite having a poor O line.
It's a moot point, since he was so dangerous in the return game as well.

At any rate, if the Broncs lose their bye to the Chiefs I think I'll be sick.

He and Hillman are both good.
I rate Anderson, just think he had a disappointing (start to the) season.

Last six games of 2014/2015 season: average of 108 rushing yards and 8 TDs
First nine games of 2015/2016 season: average of 36 rushing yards and 1 TD

Denver's office probably would've hoped he would start the season where he left of last year, but unfortunately that didn't happen. A bit like the Eddie Lacy story, and Denvers O-line didn't help him much of course.

I think running backs, more so than most other positions, can really go from being effective to ineffective on and off frequently.

It's a tough position. Dependent on a huge number of factors. It's a position based on instinct.

For me, he's proven he has the mind for it, and the physicalness for it. I think he's just had an off season and maybe one area he needs to get better is overall consistency.

Derrick Henry is overrated. And no running back is worth a first round pick in the modern nfl.

Is he rated at all? I mean, he really isn't an NFL running back.

I just think it's a bad proposition to run Kubiak's offense on a team without a strong (and healthy) OL.

The irony is a healthy Manning could run an offense with a weakened OL better than Brock, but he may not get a chance.

He and Fournette will both get paid, but I think teams have learned their lesson because of the likes of Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, etc.

One 'modern' NFL RB is Joe Mixon, whose injury really screwed over OU in the Orange Bowl...

He won the heisman, so yes of course.

Yeah, but the Heisman trophy doesn't mean that you are rated as a future NFL player, just that you are a great NCAAF player. A bit like Manziel, a lot of people thought that he wouldn't make it in the NFL.

Redskins with 3 passing TD's in the first quarter against Dallas. Joemo likes that.

Yeah. Should beat the Browns (never know with us this season though!), need the Jets to lose no matter what though. I'm scared the Bills are giving me false hope here.
Jets are helping Buffalo get the job done

Pats don't look up for it at all and they're still on level points with Miami...

That's probably the only record Tannehill will ever break.

Matt Prater kicks a 59 yard field goal, Lions lead 10-0 at HT!
