Nfl 2010-2011

Dallas has five drives inside the Jacksonville half and three points to show for it. Two interceptions (both off receivers hands), a punt and now a goal line stop. The latter was the next to last play of the half. Kitna turns to hand off to Barber and they collide, and Barber gets stopped about an inch or two from the goal line. I was waiting to hear the circus music start up. It's a comedy of errors on this club right now. Defense still can't make enough plays and the offense is killing them. Special teams coverage looks a joke too - they had five or six guys around a punt returner and slowed up thinking he was going to fair catch but he didn't and gained about fifteen yards.

Summing it all up is Wade's typical facial expression bearing no emotion. How can any player be motivated under a weak-minded coach like Wade?

Finally something good happens offensively. Good pass by Orton, receiver tackled on the 1 yard line & Tebow comes on for the TD run. 7-3 Broncos lead.

Another TD for Broncos - but a late chop-block penalty cancels that out. It was a great trick play, but won't count.

Describe the play

Orton hands it off to the RB who runs a yard or so, turns around and pitches the ball back to Orton who makes a deep pass to the WR for a TD. But when the RB pitched the ball back to Orton, he intentionally fell down to get out of Orton's way, but when he fell down he tripped up one of the 49ers defender who may have got to Orton if he was not 'blocked'. The referees threw the flag for a 'chop-block'. The commentators said it is a harsh penalty but a correct one.

I hope you understood my brilliant explanation

A great throw (albeit very risky) by Troy Smith and an even better catch, great chance for a TD, 1st & goal from 1 yard line

TD 49ers, Smith with the 1 yard run. 10-10 if PAT is converted.

Dallas getting hammered by the Jaguars, and will move to 1-6 for the season. Is it common for NFL coaches to get sacked during the season? I can't see Wade Phillips lasting beyond the season, but I don't think Jerry Jones has the patience to last that long with Phillips.

Yes. Usually interim coaches take over until the hiring process can take place at the end of the season. It's not common, but it's happened before. (Singletary was an interim promotion in the middle of the season and his performance as coach during the remainder of the season helped him get the job full time)

Most teams will wait until the end of the season though. "Black Monday" is the traditional nickname for the Monday after the final regular season games since that's the day since usually three or four coaches will get fired that day.

Ok. Whether he lasts the season or not, Phillips must know himself his time is up.

Romo getting injured gives Phillips the excuse he needs to finish the season as Head Coach...no point in bringing in a new guy now...plus Jerry Jones is pretty loyal to his coaches, he'll let him finish the season and then give him the boot.

TD 49ers, that was a very nice throw by Troy Smith and an easy play for the WR, the CB was no-where near the receiver. 17-10 49ers.

Redskins score too...but we'll end up losing a close one...Every single game except one has been close as can be for the Skins.

19-14, two point attempt unsuccessful :(

Another TD 49ers. 24-10, game almost over now.

No onside kick, Broncos have 2 TOs and the 2 minute warning to get the ball back

Just saw the Redskins kickoff return highlight - that guy might be the smallest player in the NFL ever. He looked like a kid running out there.

McNabb intercepted in his own territory!

fecking mcnabb...all he had to do was manage the clock, instead he throws a interception leaving the lions only 40 yards to get for a game winning TD.
