Nfl 2008-2009

Then putting in 4th choice QB. Go big or go home Cassell. Ryan is looking good too in Atlanta too.

Cock. I suppose you`re a New York fan?

The majority of America hates the Patriots. They are the new Raiders.

He is "questionable" for the rest of the game but Cassell is doing very well so far.

Moss is being, well... Moss.

Yeah, I get that. I just thought a New Yorker feeling sorry for himself was the best bet.

Also, I never got why the Raiders were less popular than the Cowboys. I mean, it`s a man`s game, right?

The Cowboys have had two dynasties and some great players. Also, they have the best cheerleaders. The Raiders have one of the most hated owners in sport, dirty fecking players, dirty fecking fans, and moved from Oakland to LA to Oakland in 10-15 years

All this "America`s Team" bollocks though. Pass the fecking sick bag.

I`ve backed the Browns at 50/1 for the Super Bowl. Hopefully they`ll dick `em later this evening.

Despite the shit start, this Pats game is very entertaining.

Another miserable year of Rams football has befallen me. Down 31-0 in the third quarter.

We've got such a difficult schedule in the begining as well. A victory or two between now and November would be lovely. It would be very possible to go 0-7 for the first seven games.

That was a close one for the Patriots, should have put at least two field goals up in the first quarter if not for the fumbles. Terrible time to blow coverage and give up that big play near the end but at least they made a goal line stand and won with defence. Even if it was the Chiefs.

Jerod Mayo looks right at home.

It's not though, it isnt as prevalent as it once was, but they still have legions of fans, actually the Raiders do for that matter as well.

They also have a great owner who would go to hell for them, and their new stadium is gonna be fecking incredible

I said I thought Pittsburgh would be good, Big Ben is clutch and they know how to run and play good D, that's a recipe for success. Have to say I have been impressed with Tomlin so far

Alex, you said your from Colorado. Do you support the Broncos?

Hell yeah, earlier in the thread though I said I expected Pittsburgh to be good though. Don't know about the Broncos they will probably make the Wild Card

Cowboys looking good. Though I think this could be a lot to do with the Brown's defence.

The Boys are a great team for most of the season last year the only team better than them were the Pats

Any update on Brady?

No, not yet. There wont be anything definitive for a while either just rumours. The Pats always shield the injury status of their players.

Bill brushed aside questions in the press conference, said he was having tests.

Dallas v Cleveland wasn't a contest by the second quarter. Cleveland will fall back to mediocrity this season. Tough schedule, crap defense, Anderson will be found out against quality defense (as he was last season).

Dallas looked good save the usual penalty problems. Cleveland's only touchdown was courtesy of two 3rd down penalties by Dallas. I still think Dallas needs to find a veteran receiver to add depth. They could bring Glenn back since no one has expressed interest in him at this point. Do expect a few roster changes around the league in week 2 since veterans signed before week 1 get full salary rights. After week 1 they get only roster salary rights (i.e. a guaranteed salary as long as they are on the roster).

Haha SD, you bitches.

Burgundy had it right all along

There's a small chance thats why the Patriots released Lynch. His comments definitely seemed to suggest he would be back at one point. Ty Law probably has a chance of signing with Cleveland, the Jet's or the Pat's as well, depending on the money of course.

The Rams recieved a thurough demolition at the hands of Philadelphia.

Yeah they suck, is Jackson back or is he still holding out, you guys should just get a new team

Rumours that it is an eight month torn ACL are now gathering pace. Still not confirmed, more tests on Monday apparently. Chris Simms is also scheduled to arrive in New England on Monday morning for a workout and a physical according to Adam Schefter.

:(

GO EAGLES !!

If we get our Recievers back i expect a better season than last,HUGE day for Mcnabb and this is a big result for us, Catalyst for a NFC Wild Card i'm hoping.

He's back and managed a whole 40 yards rushing today... I'm so sick of him. He's so overrated.

The AFC is wide open now with Brady out. The Colts look like an ageing team, the Chargers have no bottle, Jax losing today. That leaves the Steelers with any sort of pedigree and they are not as good as they were when they won the Superbowl. Maybe a suprise team will make a run. Or the Patriots who will have less pressure now - nobody expects them to do much.

I said the Steelers will be good, that said Peyton is the best QB in the league and if Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Addai are healthy in the playoffs they will be tough to beat because they have continued to get better defense these past few years.

Can't see past the Cowboys in the NFC, but it seemed the same way last year. Philly was impressive today, so they will have a tough division at least. Someone will probably come out of nowhere

I have faith in the Pats. I can honestly still see us making the playoffs without Brady. Im not sure about much further though.

With Brady out injured atm I agree.

But we both know Brady pisses all over Manning when both fit.

"If the Colts stay healthy..." seems to be becoming more of a problem. They keep getting dinged up.
