with no due respect the skins suck.

ever since the current owner (similar to Abramovich) bought them he's been trying to buy a superbowl so until he's gone I hope they lose every season, which thankfully is par for the course.

Little Danny Snyder and his toys. He's a wannabe Jerry Jones. The Skins are often the offseason championship hype winners and most often finish below .500.

The fact that this can't be done in the NFL pretty much sums up why it's such a superior product compared to the Premier League.

good point.

Snyder's obviously a great businessman but as an owner he's awful.
the revolving door that's for coaches, the buying players past their great peaks.... the list goes on and on. asshat.

you are a skins fan too??? i love them, and for the first time in years i'm excited about the way they are playing

i think we found a QB, finally!!!! Griffin needs to settle down a little but i think he is going to be one of the greatest QBs ever

And not a plastic either :D Hometown team - SO many memories of RFK - Joe Gibbs.

RGIII - doesn't need to settle down, we need to unleash him!:lol: Seriously though, he is taking a bit of a pounding and that's worrying - his durability long term(but you expect that with a guy who is so good on the ground). What I'm most pleased about is his presence in the pocket and his accuracy.

We just need to continue to build around him, and we'll be serious playoff contenders within a couple of seasons. The D completely decimated by injuries and look at our wide receivers :(

fecking shit game last night for the Vikes. Two losses in a row too. Also, good bye home winning streak! NFL.com has to stop bigging us up - it only leads to losses.

Looks like it will be a hard end to this season. I was hoping for a win against the Bucs, because coming up now is: Seahawks, Lions, @Bears, @Packers, Bears, @Rams, @Texans and then Packers. Can't see many wins there :/ Lions based on recent showings we could beat. But we haven't been red-hot recently either. If we get Cutler grumpy, maybe we can take them out at home. Hawks are stingy as feck and Wilson can throw some bombs on our secondary, especially now that Cook is out. Houston can dominate us, unless we regain the kind of effort and hustle we had against the 49ers. Against the Pack, who knows. At Lambeau it will probably be a blow-out loss. At home, again we would need superman performances. Rams might be the most winnable one, but they are tough as hell too. And Bradford is a good quarterback, and if he gets Amendola back it will be hard to beat them at their place.

Looks like 5-11, maybe 6-10. Anything better than that and I will be extremely happy with the season. It's a rebuilding project. 5-11 would be slightly disappointing after starting 4-1 though. Better than fecking 3-13 though.

when i said "settle" i meant "mature". to know when to run and when to let it go, we don't want him to get injured just to win a couple of yards

and i love Morris, his numbers are unbelievable

Yeah - think he's had at least one fumble in just about every single game - so ball security is an issue(not as bad as Vick though :lol: ). But this is all amazing - can you believe he is a freaking rookie!

I knew going into the draft Luck was nailed on to make it, but I honestly wasn't as confident about RGIII - I knew he had all the tools, but just thought he'd get screwed around, and become yet another 'athletic' QB.

As for Morris

Our ground game :D

Heading into the fan rally for an hour or two today, stopped by Nike town when I was in central yesterday as I heard it had been transformed into an NFL store for this weekend with all of the normal stock replaced with NFL merchandise. It was pretty awesome and packed full of people buying jerseys and the like. Anyway seeing as my friends all hate NFL and dont understand why I watch it I am pretty much flying solo today but it should be pretty cool none the less.

Yeah there's some cool pics on the NFL site that got me all jealous! I was going to go the game but figured I'd prefer to see the Pats for the first time in foxboro.

Yeah I was considering going to the game myself but was unsure at the time if I was on shift or not and by the time I found out I was off it was too late. Anyway should be good to get a bit of a feel for the atmosphere, go in and see some of the players and check it out for an hour or two.

Any ideas what type of jerseys they were selling sparky? Do you know if they were the 'game' jersey they offer on the uk site, all screen printed numbers, names and logos or the 'elite' with sewn on twill numbers and stuff?

If not, any idea how much they were charging? About £65-70 or £150-160 or higher

Yep they had jerseys from every single team in the NFL, home and away as well for most of them. They are printed numbers, not sewn and are the same game jersey as the ones on the UK site, they were retailing at £70 and I couldnt help myself so I picked up a Brady home jersey. Then they also had hoodies and all the usual accessories and stuff. Great selection I must say.

Heading back from the fan rally now, been in since half eleven and it started to rain, great fun though really enjoyed it. When they were speaking to Gronk the crowd started chanting "spike the mic" and even better was that he did and pretty much ruined the thing

Haha!! Fantastic. Hope he spikes a few balls in the endzone tomorrow.

Hopefully! Amazing support for the Pats too, we may be the 'designated away team' however the support much more in the favour of the Pats. Interestingly Robert Kraft spoke about wanting to see a London franchise set up at some point within the next decade.

Sparky, are you from London?

I don't travel down until the morning. Not looking forward to the coach trip at all.

They reckon there'll be a team in London before one in Los Angeles. Not sure about it myself.

 brilliant.

 brilliant.

It really was epic:lol:

The only drawback really was that they had only one merchandise tent and the put it in the one part of the square where it was right next to an exit so the crowd volume trying to queue up and buy stuff there was intense.

Gronk is Gronk, whether he is in Foxboro or London.
Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots' playful tight end, stole the show at the NFL Fan Rally in London's Trafalgar Square Saturday afternoon when, at the urging of the about 20,000 fans in attendance, he spiked the microphone.

He did it hard, too, just like he does with the football after scoring a touchdown, which drew huge roars of approval from the crowd.

The Patriots had been entertaining enough as it was. They were on a large stage set up at one end of one of the most famous gathering areas in the world. Outside the gates, people were holding all kinds of signs, including some on the American presidential race and others on political activities in England.
Inside, it was just fun with food and drink available, with many wearing NFL jerseys _ Patriots jerseys were far and away the most numerous _ and with announcers on stage introducing the Patriots.

``I see a lot of Patriots jerseys out there,'' Tom Brady noted. ``I hope it will be the same tomorrow (when the Pats meet St. Louis at Wembley Stadium).''
Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd and several other Patriots spoke about how they were happy to get to take part. Even coach Bill Belichick, wearing his trademark Patriots' hoodie, was in a good mood.

``It's always great to be in London. I love London,'' Belichick said to the roars of the crowd.

It was left for Gronk to steal the show.
The big tight end was pleasant but totally under control when he began. Robert Kraft, the Pats' owner who later said that he felt the time is close for London to have its own NFL team, noted how Gronkowski changed.

``He actually seemed very calm while speaking,'' Kraft said. ``so I asked Bill if he fed him something, a calming influence. But Gronk showed his true colors.''
With the crowd screaming, ``Spike the mic, spike the mic, spike the mic,'' Gronkowski did what he was asked, with a massive throw down of the micophone onto the stage floor.

The crowd, and his teammates, loved it.

All you need is a Pats replica helmet and you're sorted. I wear mine every game!! :wenger:

Bill needs someone to get him some better clothes. Did he say anything about the team and how he thinks this season is going so far?

He mostly spoke about how its great to be in London and how he was happy to see so many patriot jerseys around and great support. He didnt really speak much about the season but said that they are looking forward to the test that the Rams pose this weekend.

Oh man after reading the title of that article and some of the comments I cant bring myself to watch that. Sounds horrific :(

It is, looks like a career-ender to me.

feck that is nasty. Spoiler it.

Edit: I hope the kid recovers.
