God do I love Peyton. One of my all time favorite athletes to watch.

Spurs of the NFL is a perfect description for the chargers.
 
What a come back! Good week for me. Giants demolishing the 49ers and the Broncos beating the Chargers.
 
Lewis has had his relative struggles this year.

Webb is arguably the bigger loss on the field, not including leadership etc.

Their best coverage player and has done as good a job on Welker and other shifty players as I have seen, as well as being able to man up on the outside. Jimmy Smith is still developing and Cary Williams can be beat. They need Suggs back.
 
I went to bed at 24-14, just after the Broncos scored on a fumble return, figuring there was no way they'd win, nor was I remotely interested in the game with the internet porn browsing and subsequent sleepiness.

Makes sense. Offense is a putting the defense in bad positions with constant turnovers. Defense is playing fairly well outside of not getting sacks.

Fire the DC.

we were also horrible on defence all of last year bar 4 games and have thrown away 2 4th quarter leads in two weeks.

Offence needs changes for sure but Castillo needed to go.
 
I never understood taking an O-Line coach and converting him to a DC to begin with. He hadn't coached defense in over twenty years and that was at a small college.

Reid is content with Vick throwing the ball 50x per game and did the offense not commit turnovers in those 4th quarter games to put the defense at a disadvantage?

Honest question - I don't watch Eagles games that closely.
 
Michael Vick is killing the Eagles(yes the D gave up 14 points in the last 5 minutes and allowed the Steelers are late game winning drive), but Vick is turning over the ball like it's going out of fashion.

Most fumbles in the league and a ton of interceptions to go with it. They'll finish 10-6, but I don't expect them to make too much noise in the playoffs.
 
Packers with their first COMPLETE game of the year in the Houston win. they need to keep that up. if they do they'll be 6-3 when they get to their bye week.
 
Pats-Jets is a very important game considering the standings in the AFC East right now. We need to get back to establishing a running game and can't afford to let Brady throw it 50+ times. The secondary also needs to bounce back and give a good performance. Must win game.

It's been a very interesting NFL season so far. Teams you don't expect to struggle are struggling and those who are meant to be doing nothing but make up the numbers are punching above their weight. I like the unpredictability we've had this season, although I think the majority of the 'usual teams' will make the playoffs as expected.
 
Madden 13 tells me Pats will win. God I hope we win today against the Jets, we need to win. Then next week the Pats are coming to London, cant wait for that :D

I have a noobish question. Even though I've been watching for a few years I've never really understood why it counts as passing yards if the QB passes say 10 yards down the field, and then the reciever runs an additional 15 yards. Why does it count as a 25 yard pass and not a 10 yard pass and 15 yard run?
 
Flacco and the ravens have been dreadful the first half.

Brees: 313 yards, 4 TDs in the first half :eek:

Because a play is classified as either a pass or a run.

If you want to see how many yards the QB has actually thrown just subtract Yards after Catch from the Total passing yards.
 
I'm so sick of people saying Flacco should be considered a top tier QB. Hopefully this shuts them up for awhile.
 
Good win for the Giants. Was tough out there though. Griffin looks good. Eli Manning though, what a player. Completely unruffled by the turnovers for a clutch throw to Cruz. Conference rival beaten and basically we are in a much better position in the conference now.

Redskins are serious rivals than Cowboys and Eagles.
 
The ending to The saints game was brilliant. Tampa very unlucky to lose and it could be a controversial penalty call which cost them the game.
