Outside bet on Javid, I reckon he’s seen as one of the more mentally stable and less criminal options

Javid is an immense cnut, far worse than Sunak and far less sensible.

Hilarious that Sunak's tag line is 'Rebuild the Economy', has he forgotten that he's been responsible for the economy for the last 3 years?

Mogg will be the only that I will ever recognize as the true leader of UK

I think two from Wallace, Sunak and Tugthehat will end up in the final 2.

Whoever can play the stand with Ukraine tune the best will probably win. The membership will care more about that than the cost of living crisis.
Javid will be there. Whoever wins will be a +9 Tory -9 Lab as we’re a right wing country and people have made their protest against Johnson and will be delighted to have a “normal” Tory party back.

Rishi has got the brand, and he saved everyones jobs during Covid.

He should win this...only thing that may play on Tory minds is whether their voters would vote for a non-white PM. It would be huge for the UK

Seems like BBC have made their pick. Keeping Sunak's sparkling face on their front page.

Go for it. Judging by Starmer's recent PMQs, where he seems to have gained confidence, he would destroy Sunak in a debate.

I'll say it again; Sunak seems a terrible public speaker when it's not a prepared speech.

Absolutely right, he’s a robotic MP. He’ll get pulled apart in a debate when he rolls off the script of fixing the economy he’s broken himself. He has a reputation of a high tax chancellor and that will scare some within the party.

Sunak’s close ties to Boris throughout his term as PM is what will undo him. Plus the fact that all of his press machine has been working to be leader since December last year won’t go down well with any Boris supporting members of the Tory party who will paint him as the backstabber.

Does he? I thought he was against Boris’s spending ideas but gave way.

I would prefer to see Priti Patel get the gig if only for my own twisted self indulgence only knowing full well that she probably wouldn't last a year anyway.

Get Angela Rayner to depose Keir Starmer too, then yeah I'm fully locked in.

Sunak has increased taxes (various ones) 15 times since being in office, including the breaking the usual pro business Tory position and increasing corporation tax.

He’s not acted quick enough to mitigate inflation or support on the cost of living. The clown has the cheek to say he will fix the economy he has broken through his own inaction and policies.

If you think being the son of an immigrant doctor is a silver spoon upbringing, you need to look up what that term actually means. Boris Johnson yes, Rishi Sunak definitely not.

why do you keep saying immigrant doctor like all immigrants are poor?

Because Sunak's family were poor when they arrived. They're a story that should be an inspiration to others but as usual they're derided for being successful. It's one of the very worst British traits that's immediately noticeable when you live abroad. They would be celebrated in virtually any other country.

So Sunak was the man in charge of the money, and he fecked that up. Now he wants to be in charge of everything else?

Okay, but in this context Rishi is from a wealthy and privileged background - his parents. Yes they may have created their success and wealth from a point of nothing and credit to them for that but that doesn’t derive from the fact that because of that Rishi has managed to gain privilege and advantage compared to the majority. There are many people with money in the Uk that are celebrated and revered because they are arseholes / distribute that wealth. The same can’t be said for Sunak.

Hoping Trus gets it as she'll most definitely lose in any general election. She's instantly mockable and lacks intelligence.

My fear is that'll be Patel which would be disastrous or Tugendhat which would allow them a 'fresh start'.

People like him are derided because they seek to close down the very same avenues that were used successfully by their ancestors in order to get on in life. The Rwanda debacle being one obvious example, but there are lots more.

I have no interest in listening to arseholes like Sunak talk about immigration and social mobility and how it has benefitted them while we preside over huge increases to National Insurance and record levels of taxation and inflation.

The second paragraph is why it amazes me he’s running. The PR campaign for him has been so brazen that I thought he’d definitely take a step back this time and wait for it all to blow up in somebody else’s face and be the white knight riding in afterwards.

I expect that Hunt and Truss will get to the run off.

Truss will get support from the hard right numpty brigade and Hunt is the moderate who has no ties or affiliation to the shit show that has stunk out the country over the past few years.

Both are wankers, but I’d fear Hunt more. Truss would get demolished during a General Election.

oh please...plllllease pick sunak. He was in the spotlight for what? Less than a day? and he shit himself so badly they actually warmed to Boris.

More Rishi filling up at a petrol station please!!
