It's the Glazers' fanbase-monitor intern desperately (and indirectly) pleading for the caf to do a Poch vs Ten Hag poll so (s)he can help them make a decision when the time comes.

Well I'm happy if it's down to those two and despite what some say there are pros and cons for both of them

The biggest problem at PSG seems to be Leonardo. The man sounds like a complete arsehole and it appears he falls out with every manager they appoint.

There will be more managers available in the summer. Appointing permanent manager out of desperation cannot be what United does. What do we do when he doesn't win anything again. Sack him and find another one?
That's what the successful clubs do. Also I think people are just terrified of how bad it could get under Carrick & Co. If we tumble down the league will a top manager want to deal with it.

This all comes down to him desperately wanting to itch that scratch of managing us and our board feeling the same way

Haven't people been complaining that they have been underwhelming this season? And isn't that why Poch is fed up there?

Imagine Messi, Di Maria, Mbappe and Nymar all arguing over which of them is too grand to press. Add up all that ego and it's probably almost half a Ronaldo so that's massive.

What have scoring stats to do with pressing stats?
Right, they don't press for their club or country.
The question is can we get a manager who can make us play football.
It isn't pressing or nothing. That isn't how good managers operate. Poch does not manage a pressing side in PSG. Yet you assume that is what he wants to do, well on evidence he doesn't. So ronaldo wouldn't be a problem would he?

The summer is still a fair bit far off and we still have plenty to play for this season. I don't see the club willingly writing off the season in November, especially if a manager like Poch is available immediately.

Ideally I'd want us to go all in for Ten Hag now, but I'm not entirely sure how willing he'd be to jump ship at this stage of the season.

Yep - every manager seems to have issues with him. A warning for those who clamour for a DoF - if you sign the wrong DoF, you are truly fecked.

@ people acting like not winning the league with Spurs is any kind of argument against Poch.
Also you are massively overrating the squad they had.
Even God can’t win the league with Spurs.

I'd be happy with either Poch or Ten Hag.

Though I do have a bad feeling that if we get Poch, Ten Hag will go to one of City/Liverpool and do incredibly well while we just fight for top 4 every season. I'm a pessimistic twat though.

I‘m sure we can all breathe a massive sigh of relief because feck that option if anyone dared to make it

Well we need to actually test the waters on how willing he is to jump ship now because Pochettino sounds very keen to do it

There is such thing as "caretaker manager". Poch is not one though. Why would we appoint somebody that we know will not work as a permanent manager

Yeah that's my biggest fear as well so you are not alone in feeling that one

He's too normal for lack of a better word. He doesn't take himself too seriously and is generally a very genial guy. Just don't see his character in the top. Gut feeling mostly.
Oh that's too bad I do see where you are coming from but it must be atleast fun watching your team and it would be quite an interesting thing with all the talk of Ten Hag being the next big Manager on the horizon and he ends up losing the league to Slot's Feyenoord .
Could it happen?

Well yes, ideally the club offers him an ultimatum of now or never. But something tells me the board are more sold on Pochettino anyway.

Taking your points in turn...
Pressing is demonstrably the only way to win big silverware. It is how good managers now operate. He doesn't because he can't hence his unhappiness. Yes that's what I assume. He doesn't because he can't. Ronaldo will be a problem.

You can't just wish your own reality into existence. That's how we got stuck with Ole.

Yep it's definitely ultimatum time for both of them to see who really wants this job

Would be great if Ten Hag goes to maybe Barca or Madrid or Bayern if we don’t get him.

This might be the wrong thread but does anyone know where I can buy tickets to the open top bus parade for being 11 points clear in November?

It isn't. It was false nines, possession, tikka feckin tikka. It was pass and move. Poch isn't playing pressing football nor is ten hag. You see utd getting beaten because they push up on the worst back four in the country and assume if it works against us then it works for us. It doesn't.
It is a buzzword.

He probably is. Most people would take him over Poch. But if he won't commit then that's the way it is.

Yeah if you have someone more willing to commit then despite him being my second choice it's a no brainer
