Hope it's Ten Hag if he's as interesting as hyped to be. Pochettino is good but he's not impressed a lot following those excellent first few years at Spurs. He's also a lot more pragmatic than people think.

Why would we need Ajax's buy in though? I mean ofcourse with the relationship we have with them, I understand if we don't want to take their manager from them, mid season. But this " Ajax wouldn't agree" is a BS statement. If ETH wants to come , he is coming.
If we don't get him, I'd put money on him going to City
Poch isn't as good as Klopp or Pep but he's a decent manager. Knows the league well too. Wouldn't be the worst appointment.

Poch was excellent at Spurs. I’m not sure how good he is, too early to tell if he can compete with klopp/pep
I feel like Poch is destined to go back to Spurs at some point, the Conte saga will end in tears with him setting fire to the stadium after someone's hidden his wig as a prank, and they'll be begging Poch back to bring back the good old days.

If we got Ten Hag I'd say everyone should be willing to accept a season where we miss out on top 4 while he establishes his style. If the Glazers won't accept that its pointless going after him.

Supposedly we're actively looking for an interim that sees us through to the end of the season, so it probably (hopefully) won't be Carrick for the rest of the season. Him and Fletcher are only supposed to take over for the next few games.
There's a difference between ten Hag and Rangnick when it comes to implementing a play style. Rangnick's style is to transition play quickly in a vertical manner with minimal amount of passes. And ten Hag's style is to exert zonal and positional control via ball possession in a vertical axis to open up space for the free man. Both concepts also apply high pressure but the possession play style has a advantage because it gives a team the option of a 'controlled rest phase' which can be advantageous imo.
Poch and Rangnick might be too much. Pochs tend to hate working with a DOF and Rangnick tend to like taking BS lightly. Ten Hag and Rangnick would be more appropriate
Yes we COULD but then there's the SHOULD. We have a great relationship with Edwin van der Sar for a start, and to be frank, it's not good business to piss off all the great clubs around the world when there's a good chance you're going to need to do a lot more business with them in the future. We should absolutely let ten Haag finish the season if that's what he and Ajax want to do, and hire a suitable interim manager until then like Rangnick or Blanc.

I also don’t think the board has a clue. I assume we will end up with Zidane as he is the biggest name available and that’s how the board functions as it doesn’t really have a clue.

Man City PL winning manager? This is why you foreign based Utd fans get on my nerves. He'd never want to join us with his City connections and our fans wouldn't want him either. It's a total non starter.
The only reason Brendan Rodgers is a possibility is because Liverpool fans don't really have any affection for him so I doubt they'd even care.

That’s kind of the issue Leipzig have had this season because they’ve gone to Jesse Marsh who plays the basic version of Rangnick football but they’d developed from that after Hasenhuttel into a more possession-based team with Nagelsmann. I know Rangnick said Leipzig should have done whatever they could to keep Nagelsmann, which suggests a bit more flexibility than I thought he was known for. From what I’ve seen of Nagelsmann and the little bits of Ten Hag they are quite similar but it seems you‘ll know better. Are they massively different?
Certainly, Nagelsmann’s football looks much more possession based than Marsh or Hasenhuttel’s (who I also like and don’t think would be a bad choice on a 2 and a half year deal). I think what I’m trying to say is that whether you go with possession/press or transition/press either of them will be a development from what you’ve got now and neither are that far from each other that they can’t be changed up later.

Let's get a solid interim manager who can, hopefully, achieve top 4 and we have 6 months to decide on who is to become permanent manager. Ten Hag, Pochettino seem to be our top targets, with media not mentioning Rodgers these last few days really, which maybe means board have their doubts with the way Leicester have been performing this season.
It won't be Enrique, Mancini, and most probably won't be Zidane. They all seem to be uninterested for different reasons.

I don't mind us waiting that long to win something major. I just want to enjoy watching the team again while having a blueprint or vision to work towards.
