One of the best bench performers of all time, I'll tell you that. He was very influential, just a little short of Ronaldo orchestrating Eder's goal standard.

Got me thinking, would it be able to finish the whole draft without giving any names out? Maybe something like sheep but without revealing names after....if you pick a player that was picked in previous rounds that pick doesnt count so you can pick again so we dont make it impossible to finish.

Be fun but each round could take an extremely long time unless a mod was around to answer each pick straight away.
 
i reckon we can cover that with committee and deadlines.
 
We can have a full "Mystery Draft" with that theme.

1st, 3rd and 5th round picks will not be tagged to manager. Every manager will submit his pick via PM to mod who will just post a list (to avoid being picked again in later rounds) at end of round. Who picked whom will be a mystery. Same with reinforcements.

I like that but just do it for every pick. Sheep style draft. List of players that are no longer available at the end of each round. No one has a clue what squads are being formed.

It only really works in sheep format because there's little scope for design/good drafting. It would be really bad in a snake as predicting picks to make calls on who to prioritise is a big part of it (and impossible with up to three unknown players).

Yeah it would definitely need to be a sheep draft. I'm in if someone runs it though.

Hmmm, not sure as I think we need to give some information out to play the guessing game. If picks 1 & 3 (and maybe 5) are hidden it creates enough ambiguity that can only be enhanced by giving out players in other rounds.

I think I can make it work in a Snake, but would need bit of work from the mod.

If there's enough interest, I can give this a shot.

I thought the whole point was so that nobody could know though? If they know you're first pick then they know your best player. I'd love a completely blind draft where you can only see which players can't be picked without knowing which of them will be playing together.

They would not know the 1st, 3rd and 5th picks. As in this draft, it is difficult to find out who are are building around if you don't have these picks...even when the rest of the picks are visible.

Managers in the snake order A B C D E
Round 1 begins, they all PM their picks to you in that order.
You announce the 5 picks together.
Round 2 begins from E to A and they repeat the same PMing the picks etc

Prob having a couple of helping mods but you just need to be online at the end of the rounds mainly. You are always online!

Sounds fun for the meltdown element when you start running through 5-6 picks and all are taken but would take forever in practice.

You wouldn't post picks on the thread so there's nothing to discuss. Nobody would know when their turn is up as picks would have to be sent to the mods. Once picks are sent you have to wait for confirmation before moving on, there may be 4-5 instances of back and forth... The only way to leave picks behind would pretty much be a list of 16 targets...

It would die a quick death.
