Anyone any ideas for the next draft?
I'm still working on my board game draft which would be the weirdest & most complicated shit that ever existed... if it will even exist. Basically, it's the draft equivalent of the Jodorowsky's Dune, only without the talent. Anyway, it's definitely not something that would be ready in time for the next one.
This has to happen at some point or I will El Topo myself

I have some Round ideas for a sheep draft but I don't have enough likes to be able to start threads (which would be necessary both for the main draft thread and for the match threads).
I was thinking more in terms of whether there was anyone who could create threads who would be interested in being part of a committee with me for organizing the sheep draft.

Realistically, the matches will be a bit shite as 1) there'll be a lot of unfamiliar players so voting will be low 2) managers that pick pre-footage players will hype them to the moon and those who don't will dismiss them. The drafting and research would be rewarding though, and it seems like ages since we've had a draft like this. In a similar vein, all-time La Liga Draft could be good.

Sadly, it's all on him - we have those discussions from time to time. He's a great poster, so it shouldn't be a problem for him to get a few likes in the main football forum - giving likes for draft posts is frowned upon, unless it's a truly outstanding post a la @Raees' piece on Pelé, for example.

Nope, things have always been this way. In fact, things are better now because newbies have limited Mains access — which enables them to participate in Mains drafts. Being a draft regular does not equate to a free pass/promotion, and if Michael (or any other newbie poster) needs full access to post more frequently, he/they will have to make more like-worthy non-draft Football/United forum posts, instead of focusing on a niche activity while effectively putting the rest of the forum on ignore. We have not made exceptions in the past, and can not make exceptions in this instance. Sorry!

Has there ever been a draft in the past with below criteria:
Can pick any players who fulfill the below criteria
1. Player should never have won the WC
2. Player should never have won the UCL
3. Player should never have won Euros
No block list and simple snake style drafting.
Edit: Might actually block a couple of players like Figueroa/Zico

Thought about it but most of the great South Americans have won the WC anyways. Zico and Figueroa will stay blocked. Rest are okay.

Ha! I was back - and ready to dominate the world - but that league thing just fizzled out. Shame, really - I liked the concept.
But, to pat myself on the back, I did say it probably wouldn't work.
