Thought I was being fairly conservative with my 12-13 points guess, and I still overestimated us

My guess:

Arsenal (h) - D
Leicester (a) - W
Nottingham (a) - L
City (h) - W
Newcastle (a) - L
Wolves (h) - D

Rough set of fixtures:

Arsenal (h) - D : Arsenal impotent in attack similar to us.
Leicester (a) - W: Two low-confidence teams, a narrow 1-0 / 2-1 victory
Nottingham (a) - L: Dull game with Forest getting 2 goals off of mistakes, Gibbs-White to score a brace
City (h) - L: Not a great city side, but seem to have gotten over their hump. 1-0 loss
Newcastle (h) - L: We'd get steamrolled, 3-0 , Isak hat-trick.
Wolves (h) - D: 90 min comback from us to get a point.
Bournemouth (a) - L: 1-3 to the home team, we start off good but their pace kills us.

I think we're fortunate if we get 5 points out of those next 7. Most likely it will be 2/3 ...

Arsenal (h) - loss. Arsenal are poor in attack atm but should have enough to beat us.
Leicester (a) - win. If Leicester lose tonight and at Chelsea then you'd think they'll be in even worse situation.
Nottingham (a) - draw. We're capable of decent results away from home.
City (h) - loss. City aren't great but it's at Old Trafford and they've been better lately.
Newcastle (a) - loss. We most probably won't be able to cope with their intensity and quality in attack (Isak).
Wolves (h) - win. Wolves could be safe by then and even though I'd back Wolves to beat us, still hope we can grind out a win somehow.
Bournemouth (a) - draw, similar to Forest.

8 points out of 21 and I'm probably being optimistic  think the problem is even if we somehow improve there could be (if we go into next round) more Europa League and Fa Cup games and they could take a lot out of the players.

In another season both Arsenal and City games at Old Trafford would be winnable given both teams' form. This season they feel like a given defeats, similar to Brighton and Palace games recently.

Arsenal (h) L
Leicester (a) D

= 40 points!

Actually think we'll surprise a few with this set of fixtures.

We have become a game raising team - you know just like the teams we used to berate when they came to Old Trafford for their cup final.

We'll draw Arsenal, Beat City and Draw Newcastle.

Possibly beat Leicester and maybe Wolves.

Can see 11 points if were lucky.

Arsenal (h) DRAW
Leicester (a) WIN
Nottingham (a) DRAW
City (h) LOSS
Newcastle (a) LOSS
Wolves (h) DRAW
Bournemouth (a) LOSS

1-3-3 - 6 points I think.

Arsenal (h) Loss
Leicester (a) Win
Nottingham (a) Draw
City (h) Win
Newcastle (a) Loss
Wolves (h) Win
Bournemouth (a) Loss

I want the focus on the EL and FA Cup. League results no longer matter - it's game situation training like preseason. That said, I do think results should get better moving forward.

This point in the season can make or break us. We need results from wherever we can get them. If we treat the PL like training and lose out, that will not go well for us in the cups. Winning and playing well helps build momentum.
With that said, I don't think we're winning the cups due to losing two of our best players to long term injuries. No idea when Mainoo is back in the lineup either. Its going to be a rough run out any way you slice it. I'd like to see us at least finish in the top half but it eels so far away.

Given our form this season and of late, I'm calling 8 pts max.

This is a brutal run and we could easily lose 5 or 6 of these matches.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're in 16th and only 6 points clear of Wolves by the end of this run.

Wolves (22 points) have:
Everton (h)
Southampton (a)
West Ham (h)
Ipswich (a)
Tottenham (h)
Man United (a)
Leicester (h)
Reckon, they could have 29/30 by the end of those seven fixtures.

Ipswich (17 points):
Palace (a)
Nottingham (h)
Bournemouth (a)
Wolves (h)
Chelsea (a)
Arsenal (h)
Newcastle (a)
21 maximum by the end of the run.

A maximum of 7 points from the 21 available over the next 7 Games.
Could be as low as 4 out of 21.

If we get three wins and a draw, which very few have confidence in, 10 points is still less than half of those on the table.

There’s only 4 more league games left after this run of 7.
Brentford (A)
West Ham (H)
Chelsea (A)
Villa (H)

A final position between 12th and 16th is the most likely.

Southampton (H)
Brighton (H)
Fulham (A)
Palace (H)
Spurs (A)
Everton (A)
Ipswich (H)

We will be getting more training time, Amorim will likely start to field a similar XI more and more, we've played the best 3 teams away and had 49.7% possession at Arsenal, 48.2% possession at City, and 47.2% possession at Liverpool. If the players aren't buying into Amorim's approach then they won't buy into anyone's approach. We had 30 minutes against Arsenal where we looked really comfortable, we won at City and went toe to toe with Liverpool despite the huge differences in how we're faring this season.

I think we'll get at least 15 points from these fixtures.
10 points

I'm making this point every day at the moment. Clearly (in our current situation) results should be considered very important.

We're making staff redundant to save a few million. Yet, throwing the league season away and finishing 15th would see a difference of 20 million compared to 8th last season

There isn't much football difference between even finishing say 9th/10th and 15th but financially, it's quite big at this stage.

Looking at minimum of 5 losses. Only ones we have any chance in hell in are the Wolves and Leicester games.

11 points. We’ve been on a decent enough run results wise, even if performance are generally not great. Also lots of teams are starting to run out of steam and are not all that themselves. Nottingham are starting to ship goals for fun, Arsenal can’t seem to score anymore, and City are a fragile team.

Bournemouth and Newcastle are the types of teams we can’t cope with at all, so not optimistic about these two.

As long as we've done enough to stay up, I want us to go all out for the Europa, because winning that competition will make or break our finances. It would have a swing of a minimum £100m+ for next season.
