Next 7 league matches

Concentrate on the 6-pointer double header with Everton and Ipswich. Forget the rest.

2 hopeful wins in that run Ipswich and Palace. Everton away ffs Moyes back this lot will shit there pants. The rest are grinding hopeful rubbish that's this team , it's awful .

From those fixtures I'd say 9 points, including the 3 we got vs. Southampton. Palace and Ipswich we are likely to beat. Tottenham are as awful as us right now but we all know they will have their best game of the season against us.

I’d still be hoping for 4 points against Ipswich and Palace, anything away to Fulham/Spurs/Everton will be a bonus as you’d expect nothing from these games the way we’ve been playing. That gets us to 30 points and probably safety.

I think we should have learned by now not to count potential points. Take each game at a time.

We will still have absolute shockers this season, that I have no doubt
It didn't take long into the next 7 fixtures to see why we shouldn't get carried away.

We have got 3 in 6 and we where damn lucky against the worst team in the league who have got the record for least amount of points after 20 games (according to the commentary, I haven't actually fact checked it)

This united squad is just not good enough and we will be very lucky to finish top 10.

Palace won't be easy. They're unbeaten in their last 7 away games including a comfortable win at Brighton and draws at Villa and Bournemouth.

Palace (H)
Spurs (A)
Everton (A)
Ipswich (H)

Next 4 are winnable but at same time, these clubs are struggling, so will be tough matches

Four teams that are all below us in the table - and that's saying something. Two wins is a must. Three wins would be really nice.

I bet Spurs change their manager before we play them, to get their new manager bounce.

Everton are starting to get their act together, since Moyes returned.
That’s a tricky fixture for us.

Southampton (H) - Win
Brighton (H) - Loss

Results for Utd and our next 4 opponents over the last 6 league games…

Man Utd W-2 D-1 L-3

Palace at home is such an obvious defeat. Spurs depends on if their CBs come back by then and if there's a new manager bounce in case Ange gets sacked but atm I'd be more hopefully for that game than the Palace one. Everton away is difficult one now as Moyes got them playing again but at least it's not at home. Ipswich at home isn't difficult on paper but we're terrible at Old Trafford and they're fighting to stay up so you can't be sure.

There will be more rest for players before Spurs and Everton games if we finish in top 8 of Europa League so that's a factor as well.

Still on for my prediction of 12. We'll definitely lose to Spurs, they'll get their new manager bounce the week we turn up. Everton away has loss written all over it too.

The other games look winnable on paper.

I'd be more worried about Palace and Ipswich given those games are at home. We were 1-0 down to Southampton with 10 minutes to go at OT.

All these games will be more difficult than necessary unless we get a proper striker in. Without this we will be lucky to get draws, just like we were very lucky to get a win last night.

Southampton (H) - Win
Brighton (H) - Loss
Fulham (A) - Win
Palace (H) - Loss
Spurs (A) - (Loss)
Everton (A) - (Loss)
Ipswich (H) - (Win)

50% success rate is better than the previous 7 league games.
Spurs could go either way way and Everton have been revitalised since Moyes was appointed manager.

Interesting run against the teams around us, today was 12th vs 13th, next is 13th vs 14th, and then will it be 14th vs 15th?

Easy to predict, any home game is an automatic loss. Away game, usually a draw. Might get a jammy win now and then like Fulham.

Apologies for bumping this thread back up.

Southampton (H) - Win
Brighton (H) - Loss
Fulham (A) - Win
Palace (H) - Loss
Spurs (A) - Loss
Everton (A) - Draw
Ipswich (H) - (Win?)

7 points out of 18 played for, with 1 game to go in this run of 7 games.

On a serious note, lets aim to get a win first before we even think about going on a winning run.
I can't remember the last time we won four league games in a row...

We did it on 3 different occasions in Ten Hag's first year. Including the 4 matches after the disastrous 2 games. And the last 4 matches of that season
were those all PL games (I particularly mean the end of the season ones)?

Thanks... I honestly had forgotten that. I guess that was why they gave ETH the chance to get it right (no excuse for the contract extension though!)
Absolutely not, you're right. 1st season seemed promising but Rashford did carry us that season. The second was a disaster.

Forget 4….this season we’ve still not won two league games in a row. We could go the whole season without winning back to back games in the league. Probably be a first time ever!
