We will be getting more training time, Amorim will likely start to field a similar XI more and more, we've played the best 3 teams away and had 49.7% possession at Arsenal, 48.2% possession at City, and 47.2% possession at Liverpool. If the players aren't buying into Amorim's approach then they won't buy into anyone's approach. We had 30 minutes against Arsenal where we looked really comfortable, we won at City and went toe to toe with Liverpool despite the huge differences in how we're faring this season.

I think we'll get at least 15 points from these fixtures.

For the love of god, Mods please delete this thread.

On a serious note, lets aim to get a win first before we even think about going on a winning run.

We are going to continue to drop points with such an immature attack, could be against any of those teams. We may only see a couple of wins there. What I’m more confident of, and actually more hopeful to see, is an improved level of performance and adjustment to what the manger is seeking to do.

Southampton; Amorim's first real test.

Can we maintain the focus and commitment in a game that we really should will or are we going to revert to what we have been producing.

I think we should have learned by now not to count potential points. Take each game at a time.

We will still have absolute shockers this season, that I have no doubt

On paper all of those games are winnable. Only 2 teams in the top half of the table, Fulham and Brighton.

Given how this seasons gone, I think 12 points from that lot would probably be the acceptable minimum? Doesn't seem like a huge ask.

I guess my vantage point is that I don't really care as much about where we finish this season, as opposed to how we start to consistently perform. I posted a thread on here a short while ago about the benefits of not being in Europe next season. That being said, I do think Amorim will start getting a tune out of that XI + Garnacho and Yoro.

Trust me.

The players need to believe in themselves, work hard, follow Amorim’s instructions, cut out the stupid mistakes, and have a bit of luck.

Seriously, it’s on.

Don't get carried away.

We've seen it before when they put in a good performance then just fall away again.

I still think the priority is performances not points, given that we have such a low chance of reaching CL via the league. Realistically though, to stop the season backsliding into total doom and gloom again, we need some wins under our belt, and that is about as benign a run of games as you get in this league. 12 is probably the least we can get away with.

We'll beat them exactly for this reason. The players will want to show that we can put in such a performance in consecutive games.

Brighton will then reap the rewards because 3 good games in succession is probably unrealistic. I mean, it's still the same set of players.

Southampton (H) - W
Brighton (H) - D
Fulham (A) - W
Palace (H) - W
Spurs (A) - W
Everton (A) - D
Ipswich (H) - W

17 pts.

Have to be getting at least double figures from that set of fixtures. Wins at Southampton, Ipswich, Everton and Palace

Amad will be double marked again, Dalot will produce less, others will put in anonymous shifts with low end product. The left and right centerbacks will struggle to have a complete game without making errors.

It all depends on how the opponents handle our weakest links and contain our best players, which isn’t impossible - currently we mostly have Amad and sometimes Bruno in good form.

9-12 points is my guess.

anything less than 24 points from those 7 games and amorim has failed imo.

There's not enough hysteria at the moment after the Anfield result. Therefore we'll lose to Southampton to keep things interesting. Then we'll spank our usual bogey team Brighton to subvert expectations, such is Amorim's way. We'll even keep João Pedro and Welbeck off the score sheet in the process.

Fulham and Palace look like cagey games - I'll go with a win and a draw over the two. Spurs we'll absolutely batter 1-0 as a matter of revenge. Son will cry. Everton might have a new manager bounce by the time we play them and, if not, what strengths they have happen to match our weaknesses, so I'm going for a loss there. By the time we play Ipswich, we'll be primed to pass them off the park.

13 points.

We aren't going to magically stop errors so we'll no doubt lose some of those games to set pieces/goalie errors. If we can perform in the majority of them then I'll be satisfied.

I reckon around 14-15 points from that lot.

These are exactly the type of games where our players would prefer to stay at home with an injury or illness because there is no glitz or glamour in turning up for a rainy game vs Southampton. These aren't Instagram-worthy games.

Let's try to get 3 wins out of 7 and improve from there.

Massive challenge for this team to put a run together. I will pleasantly surprised if they do. The core of the problem is, that the team still doesn't score goals with any regularity and there is always a mistake lurking. With a fairly fragile mentality, that is a recipe for bad results.

This run of games will be a success if the team applies itself in a similar manner to yesterday, and the coaching also begins to pay off. If that is the case, the results will also come. But I am not about to expect something unrealistic from this group. It will probably be about 12-13 points.

We could (should) be back in the top half after this run of matches.

Fortunes can change quickly this season; look at Newcastle's current run.

We haven’t won two league games in a row all season and I think it will be up and down for the rest of the season. We are going to finish on 50 something points most likely so I’d expect 10-13 from the next 7 games.

I dont understand why fans bother to predict so many wins. We have to go back to taking it game by game before thinking about 7 games ahead and what the table will look like.

Our first point of call is to get to 40 points.

We have been losing against not so good teams all the season.

When it comes to our players it is not so much about more training or manager. It is more about what they have in their head. They need to show character. They need to show some determination. They need to show some leaderships. It is all about mentality. Something our guys are missing for the most part.

Take one game at the time. That is what matters.

I reckon if you take the average prediction and half it you'll be about right in these threads.

The results couldn’t matter less. Performances need to improve across multiple games. We can’t even win consecutive games so no point discussing future hypothetical results.
