New FM11 experiment

Just reached June in the game. I'll start taking screenshots and doing write ups now and the next update should be with you soon.

Can't wait to see how Brian Goo is fairing in League 1!

Last time I ended up signing for City and subsequently ruined my career, let's hope this is not the case this time.

I recall in the 09 one that when the people doing the updates didn't have time to do any that they uploaded the save game to a site and someone else did it then.

I don't mind doing it the odd weekend if you need a break, basically.

Also happy to chip in. These things intrigue me

I had a good record last time but he just didn't want to move. Hence, I have reduced the team loyalty attribute.

They sent me on loan for 5 consecutive years :(

Adam Roberts

Despite some strong showings from Roberts throughout the season Shrewsbury couldn't rise above their season expectations and finished a respectable mid table. Despite there being no major interest at the moment 10 goals in 30 games from left midfield does not go unnoticed and it is thought that Shrewsbury would struggle to keep their rising star were there anystrong interest from Championship or Premier League clubs.

Ally MacLeod

After making 19 appearances for Brora in the first half of the season Ally was snapped up by Championship side Swansea. Despite Swansea under performing in the eyes of most people MacLeod couldn't force his way in to the team having to settle for 3 first team appearances, something he'll hope to improve on next season.

Archer

Despite only making two appearances for Ipswich's first team chelsea were impressed enough to take advantage of the players contractual problems with Ipswich. Chelsea paid an initial fee of 1.4 million but it could potentially rise as far as 2.6 million. While having to settle for just one first team appearance in the cup, he was a stand out player for both the reserves and academy side and as a result Chelsea are looking to send him out on loan next season to further his education.

Big Red

It was a surprise to many that there wasn't interest in Big Red in any of the previous transfer windows after scoring 19 goals in 41 games in his first season. But after continuing his good form this season, getting 6 goals in 11 starts that looks set to change with a number of English clubs, including Chelsea, said to be interested in taking him to England during the Summer transfer window.

Bravo-Hamish Yorke

Yorke was a mainstay in the Forest Green side who defied pre-season expectations by avoiding relegation and actually finishing 16th in the end. However with major interest from Portsmouth and minor interest from a number of other Championship clubs it remains to be seen whether Yorke will line out for Forest Green next season.

Brian Goo

Touted as the new Teddy Sheringham by the media, Brian Goo had a great debut season by all accounts for Bournemouth. Scoring 16 gaols in 32 games he was one of the main reasons a team expected to finish near the foot of the table by the media prior to the start of the season managed to finish much higher up. However they were in fact closer to getting into the playoff, but taking just 2 points from their final four games meant that they missed out by just a single point. There doesn't seem to be any major interest in Goo at the minute but if he keeps up this form it surely won't be too long before some of the top English clubs start looking at signing the youngster.

Brownaldinho

Due to unfortunate circumstances Brownaldinho remains in purgatory awaiting January 13 when he can finally join Aston Villa. He has however played for Northern Ireland u21's 3 times now.....

Chunky Monkey

It had been said Chunky Monkey has the potential to be as good as Zidane or perhaps even Titus Bramble. Whatever the expections he has made a solid if unspectacular start to his footballing career. Used in a rotation system for the most part he managed to score 2 goals and create 6 in 16 games. the Bramble comparisons alone have been enough to stir the interest of Arsenal and Newcastle.

Cinaldinho

5 goals and 11 assists for Sligo Rovers was enough to convince a number of Premier League clubs of Cinaldinho's potential. However he rejected unsatisfactory contract offers from Sunderland, Aston Villa and Arsenal. At that point it seemed as though he may stay at Sligo for the time being, however Bolton came in with an offer just a couple of days before the end of the January Transfer window. Sligo accepted the 50k fee and the was contract more to Cinaldinho's liking which he was happy to accept. He didn't manage to make any first team appearances for Bolton but impressed for the Reserves and Academy. While he is not listed for loan for the coming season it remains to be seen whether he features in Boltons first team plans for the coming season.

Crustinho

Crustinho made no first team appearences for Fluminense during the 2010 season. For the 2011 season he has been farmed out on loan to Sport Recife to continue his development. He has already made 8 appearances so far this season with 4 assists to his name.

cnuty McFlange

After scoring an impressive 19 goals in 29 games for Stockport cnuty earned himself a move to Premier League team Aston Villa. He made no appearances for the Premier League side in the second half of the season and is expected to go out on loan for the next season. Luckily for him the media are touting him as the next Jermain Jenas

Elias Gilliard

After earning his move to Strasbourg with some top performances for Hereford Gilliard has been placed straight into the first team. With 1 goal and 6 assists in 27 appearances the 17 year old is already seen as indispensable to the club and as of now no clubs seem to be interested in prying him from Strasbourg.

Jay Vin

By far the most developed player at the moment. He demonstrated money isn't everything, leading AFC Wimbledon's charge to 1st place in the Blue Square Premier on just £100 per week. He scored 8 goals, created 26 and won 12 MotM awards leading to him being awarded with the Blue Square Player of the Year at just 17 years of age. He then sharpishly agreed to move to the footballing giants the New York Red Bulls for 425k in 2012.....

Jon Miller

Like Brownaldinho, Jon has the problem of international transfer limitations. He must await until the summer of 2012 to join Ayr. However despite this handicap he has still managed to become the first full international player among us, playing two times for Kenya and scoring one goal.

Jonny Tekkerz

Jonny Tekkers was involved fairly regularly with a Southampton team which managed to finish 2nd in League 1. He made 28 appearances in the League scoring 4 goals and getting 7 assists. At the moment with no significant interest as of now it looks like Jonny will be in the Southampton team next season to help them attempt to conquer the championship and get back up to the Premier League. However if the media comparisons to Paul Gascoigne are anything to go by he could be in for a troubling future.

Karan Mittal

Karan found games very hard to come-by for Cardiff in the first half of the season which led to him rejecting a number of contracts. However playing in over half their games in the second half of the season convinced Karan that he was in their first team plans and he signed a contract just after then last game of the season. This has probably scared off any potential suitors for the moment and it is likely that Karan will be at Cardiff next season to attempt to help them improve on their disappointing 14th place last season.

Makki Z

Makki went straight into the Macclesfield first team scoring 14 goals and assisting 10 in 44 league games. However amazingly this wasn't enough to keep Macclesfield from finishing 23rd and therefore getting relegated. With Macclesfield's relegation coupled with interest from abroad in the form of Porto and Leverkusen it seem unlikely that Makki will still be at Macclesfield next season.

Markus Elstob

Elstob hasn't had the best of seasons with Harrogate. He was unable to prevent Harrogate from conceding 42 in the 31 games in which he played, although he did manage 7 clean sheets in that time. Although there is no interest in him at the moment I'm sure he hopes it only a matter of time before he is snatched from non-League football and put behind some steadier defenders.

Mighty Boosh

Unable to buy an appearance at the start of season in a team deep in a relegation battle Boosh's introduction into the team saw a change of fortune as the team managed win 5 of their last 8 with Boosh managing 13 appearances for the season, creating 3 goals. With no major interest in Boosh it seem he is happy to remain at St. Pauli for the time being were he is now part of a squad rotation system.

Niall Swan

Despite it being very early in Swans career he has already shown remarkable loyalty. After making 40 appearances all across the back four in 2010, scoring 5 goals in the process, he attracted the interests of a number of English sides. However despite receiving contract offers from both Aston Villa and Sunderland he rejected both to remain at Bray Wanderers. So far in 2011 he has made 17 appearances, scoring 1 goal and creating 3. However with numerous English clubs interested again it is interesting to see whether he will still be there on September 1st.

Nimicinho

Nimichino continued to impress for Notts County after January. His final figure in the League for the season ending up as 15 goals and 4 assists in 26 games. However he also played 14 non competitive games scoring 14 goals. Unfortunately his contributions couldn't help Notts County get promoted and they finished 11th in the table. For now it seems that the man touted as the next Steffen Iversen will remain at Notts County next season with no clubs having registered any major interest.

Zarlak

Zarlak took the most ambitious approach of all the fledgling professionals by heading straight into a decent top tier French side. However this has also meant that he has played less than most. Playing predominantly for the Reserves and academy he amassed 43 appearances at these levels scoring 9 goals and making 10 assists. This impressive form did lead him to make 6 appearances for the first team in the League with a further 4 between domestic cup competitions and Europe. It would seem that Zarlak is to be used more regularly as part of a rotation system next season.

I'll sim till the 1st of September now and post any transfers at that stage. Then I'll take a break and decide if i want to do anymore tonight.

Ewwwwwww Chelsea :(

Can someone upload the pic of Brownaldinho to imgur.com please. Not being funny but this fecking o2 dongle is blocking me from opening that.

Despite some strong showings from Roberts throughout the season Shrewsbury couldn't rise above their season expectations and finished a respectable mid table.

To be fair, I don't think Messi could get Shrewsbury promoted. Another good season (maybe even half a season) might attract more interest.

So after the summer transfer window there has been a few coming and goings. The main transfer saga of the window involves UCD's Big Red.

I can only see news items from early July so I quite possibly missed a few things but heres what I saw of it. the fee was always around £60k give or take a thousand punds. First he rejected Totenham and Sunderland signing a new contract with UCD. Then he Everton and Newcastle made offers, he rejected both their contracts in favour of signing another new deal with UCD. Then Hearts, Leicster and Totenham (for the second time) had offers accepted, however Big Red again signed a new UCD deal. This time Arsenal, United and Chelsea all had offers accepted at the same time, surely he couldn't reject all of them, United in particular.... he did. But United wouldn't stop there, a week later they made another bid along with Newcastle who were also attempting to sign Big Red for the second time. Big Red once again chose to sign a new contract with UCD. Then it went quite for a while, before a day before the window closed United made one final offer. Again this offer was accepted by the club, and this time Big Red finally decided he really wanted to stay in Dublin so he signed another contract with UCD.

However Niall Swan who turned down offers from Premier League clubs in January decided he wanted a move away from Ireland. Who did he go to you ask? Arsenal? Chelsea? Manchester United? No... he went for the glamour of Falkirk, currently plying their trade outside of the Scottish Premier Division.

Nimichino showed where his loyalties lie, changing clubs for the second time in 2 years. This time off to play for Sevilla who paid Notts County 975k for his services. He rejected Juventus and Inter in favour of Sevilla.

Mittal had interest from big clubs, however Cardiff's large price tag put them off. United made two bids (1.2 and 1.5 million) and Chelsea made one (1.5 million) however they were all withdrawn when Cardiff attempted to negotiate.

It was the same story when United bid for Boosh. They made one bid worth 3.7 million for Boosh after their initial approach for Mittal was rejected. The deal broke down in the same circumstances as Mittal's as United saw St. Pauli's counter proposal unreasonable and withdrew from negotiations.

Surprisingly only one player has gone out on loan. Leeds decided to take cnuty on loan as he was not part of Aston Villa's first team plans this season. It already seems to have been a beneficial move as he has scored 2 in 4 in the League and also the fastest ever League cup goal, coming after 13 seconds.

Everyone else is as they were I believe. I'll start simming through now although I'm not sure if I'll do any more reports tonight. If not I'll definately do at least one more tomorrow.

Brian Goo had an awesome debut season by the sounds of it!

Keep up the good work! Thanks for the update, good job

I even lowered my guys loyalty from previously and raised his ambition.

I think its something to do with Irish players before they turn professional. It happened to CZ already in this one, he turned down Premier League clubs, but then signed a professional contract and ended up at Falkirk. The same happened to me when I did this before with some friends. My player went to Shamrock Rovers, he rejected contracts from all the big Premier League teams but then when he signed his first pro contract he left straight away.

Having said that, I don't know why Cinaldinho left if that is the case. Possibly because of the size of the club, or maybe its just a massive coincidence.

Great work and very interesting. I don't know much about the team my guy has gone to but it does seem that young Brazillians can go under the radar for quite a few years on FM, then all of a sudden the bigger clubs take notice and they end up going to Europe

Its in January now, I'll stop it in February and do another Transfer update. I reckon I'll sim to the end of the season tonight but it'll probably be tomorrow before I do another proper update.

I knew it was a great idea to have 1 loyalty, 20 controversy, 20 ambition and 1 sportsmanship

Thanks man, feel developing my trade at Forest Green will be good in the long run!

Just noticed Brian is currently with the England Under 19s!

Woop!

Thanks man, feel developing my trade at Forest Green will be good in the long run!

Sorry man I made a mistake in my last transfer update. It was only when you mentioned Forest Green I realised I missed something. You play for Ipswich now:D 275k during the summer.

Makki Z, I missed you out as well, Auxerre signed you for 450k during the summer.

So heres the January update after this the next update will be tomorrow.

Despite having made just 9 first team appearances since signing with Swansea in the last January window, Manchester City saw enough promise in Ally MacLeod to sign him for 500k. He was then quickly sent out on loan to Carlisle to get some experience.

After finally signing the contract with UCD which he had renegotiated numerous times, Big Red wasn't long in departing. Once again there was major interest in January and Big Red turned down Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle to sign for Arsenal for 45k.

After settling into French football Gilliard started his first full season with Strasbourg very well, scoring 4 goals and assisting 8 in 22 games. However this form would mean he would never get to finish his season there. With a number of clubs following his progress both Fiorentina and Toulouse had offers of 3.6 million accepted by Strasbourg. Gilliard chose to remain in French football choosing Toulouse over the Italian club.

Karan Mittal and Mighty Boosh were again prevented from moving clubs due to their respective clubs asking prices. Once again Manchester United were the main team in question. Their bid of 1.3 million for Mittal and 3.4 million for Boosh were not seen as enough by either Cardiff or St. Pauli respectively and United withdrew from negotiations. Blackburn then made an improved bid of 1.8 million for Mittal but they too withdrew when they heard Cardiff's asking price. However at the moment neither player hold any sort of a grudge towards their clubs and both are said to be happy where they are.

Damnit Gilliard, your second nationality is Italian! Go play in Italy with the better club!

feck off Cardiff!
