Ok guys, so there was one of these a while back before I was promoted but as far as I can tell due to a problem with the save file that particular experiment is all but dead.

Due to the fact my last uni exam is tomorrow and I won't be starting work for at least another week I'm interested in doing another one of these. Chances are it will be updated fairly regularly, certainly at the start anyway.

I'm hoping for between 15 - 20 players, 20 being the absolute max, and for the moment I'll set the sign up limit to 3 pm tomorrow (04/05/11) however if there is still loads of space I will extend that. And likewise if the quota is filled before then it will be the first 20 posts. If you want to be sure of a spot just say that your in and you can post your attributes later.

I'm not sure exactly how to do this but I have a few ideas and if anyone has any input or new ideas feel free. My first idea is for all of us to start off as 15/16 year olds, have 200 PA with maybe 100 CA and see how everyone turns out and who wins World Player of the Year first. Another option is to do the same thing with a slightly lower PA such as 190 or 180 or else do just random PA and CA and see what happens. Regardless I'm planning on letting people pick their starting clubs.

I think thats everything for now, so all thats left to do is fill out this list which I stole from cj4_elmo who had previously robbed it from niMic.....

So I've added everyone who has said they want to make a player to the OP, if I missed anyone let me know. I haven't included Gio as he said he already has a player so I won't count him in the 20. So that leaves 15 spaces accounted for so there are only 5 places left. Seems like the registration period will be finished before the deadline so when I finish my exam (which I should really be studying for now) I'll start adding players and begin immediately when I have everyones attributes.

Thanks for the input and advice, I'd be happy to go with random CA and -10 PA. I've never heard of the -10 PA thing though, what exactly does that mean?

A note, giving yourself such massive starting stats can cause problems, seeing as you won't even be half near them and some will get completely ignored.

Basically, your player will very rarely be anything like that. That's what I've seen anyway

Yeah, you have to compensate by lowering stats in other areas. 20/20/20/20 will never work.

:lol: to be fair I put the effort in with my stats and others just put 'stealing spot, will be arsed later' ;) but thanks, appreciate it. Looking forward to it.
 
So I've started adding players, at the moment I'm putting the CA as 100 and changing the year of Birth to 1994 for everyone. Also everyone who's specified a starting club starts on a youth contract. Anyone have any suggestions or should I just leave it as that?

Sort of. It means your PA can be anything from 170 to 200. I think it's 170, at least. Assuming you haven't got 1 professionalism (that seems to play a big part in whether a player actually ever reaches their potential or not), that will probably mean a world class player.

Unfortunately it's not possible to set specific ranges in the game, outside of the preset ones (-10,-9, etc). As far as I know it's something they want to do for future games. They should, anyway!

Heffo, I can't think of any obvious things you've missed. Just remember to load all the players from our nations in the database when you start the game. A good way to actually run the game is to boomark all of our profiles.

Also, when you start getting a bit into the game, maybe have the detail level for all the big leagues set to full simulation. Otherwise the games aren't fully simulated, and it's more to do with for example CA.

If you read that last post never mind it. I'm going to post the starting screen shots now in a couple of minutes. I think I have everything correct but if I made a big mistake with anyones attributes let me know and I might change it and start again.

Provided there are no problems I'll start simulating the first season tomorrow when I get up.
