A very good player, but is he much better/different to Schneiderlin?
In fact, I presumed Schneiderlin would play the same role as Matic did for Chelsea under Mourinho.

Matic has been linked with United for a while now with it being reported he would welcome the move.
Thought it was nonsense with Jose throwing him under the bus but I suppose its hard to judge any Chelsea player from last season.
He / Bailly / Ibra shows Jose is going down the power route and I for one welcome it.

Don't think it's interesting at all. Willian, Azpilicueta or Zouma I probably wouldn't mind. They have other young players that are interesting like Ake or Palmer, but that won't happen. If Schneiderlin returns to his normal self, he can do most things that Matic offers. If Schneiderlin isn't trusted, we might as well go for Kante. In general I'd rather look outside of the EPL for midfielders, Kante is probably the only one from the EPL I'd like us to sign.
Same role, one is better and that's not Schneiderlin.

Strange player. Chelsea got rid of him because he wasn't sure of his attitude. Bought him back after excelling at Benfica and looked the best CM in the league but then completely fell apart thereafter. Doubt Mourinho's interested in him given he completely threw him under the bus.
I prefer him to Schneiderlin as he's more technical but he has a lot to prove at the moment.

He was arguably Chelsea's worst player last year along with ivanovic, that said, was an integral part of their league win.

Yeh he shields the defence with pace, power and height and is just a bit of a beast that allows the other midfielders to be more offensive
There's absolutely zero chance that Chelsea sell one of their players to Mourinho.
I don't see the need in spending a load of money on him to replace Morgan. Not even sure I prefer Matic, but even so, unless someone offers a crazy amount for Schneiderlin, not sure I see much value in us signing him. We've got bigger priorities than signing a player like Matic.

Not to keen on him... would cost a fortune taking him away from chelsea and there probably isnt much between him and schneiderlin who I'm not the biggest fan of anyway

Yes please, perfect partner for Schneiderlin in midfield. Them two would give us a very solid Base.
And very little ability on the ball/no linkup between defence and attack.
He's not that good, Schneiderlin isnt that good as well. So if we cant buy a genuine improvement on Morgan, might as well keep him.
Unless you have a creative 3rd midfielder in there which will be the case.
