We have four players who can play on Shaq - Vlade Divac, Scott Pollard, Chris Webber and Keon Clark and I think Pollard is so much more toughened than last time round. No other team can boast of having such a quartet of big guys. And as far as I am concerned, it does not matter how much Shaq scores against us, because our offense can surely outscore the Big Daddy and his team.

The players I think cannot but be admired in this league are:
- Kevin Garnett: This is player who dominates anyone he plays against. The most versatile player - he defends anybody, be it point guard, shooting guard, small or power forward, or even center. And the player who plays with the most heart. Give him a Jason Kidd as point guard, and someone let Wally Szczerbiak improve his temperament, and I believe this guy can outright win the NBA.
- Tim Duncan: Another power forward in the mould of a Garnett. Almost the same attributes, but, I would rate Garnett higher, just slightly. There is talk of Jason Kidd maybe moving to the Spurs. That would quite a formidable partnership too!
- Tracy McGrady: An amazingly talented player. A player woh also lacks a cast like Kevin Garnett. Seems to be able to score from anywhere. As talented as Kobe (the only thing about whom I hate is his attitude - cocky) and such a scoring machine. And with his kind of attitude, he would enter into my good books any time.
- Allen Iverson: Great heart in this guy. Not the most talented player. But, he is surely the fastest on the court. And he is adding a team player aspect to his game that is very positive. One hell of a competitor. Gives everything he has every time.

No defense, only an adequate rebounder.

I rate Webber better than Nowitzki. And notice I did not mention Webber.

Nowitzki is 25.
Garnett and Duncan are 27.
McGrady is 24.
Iverson is 28.

Well, in the NBA, you find players playing well over 30, unlike in football. And I would say that Garnett and Duncan still have easily 10 years in them like Karl Malone, if they keep themselves as fit as Karl Malone does.

With these stas, I would say it is very close. Call me biased, I think Webber is the better all round player with his APG. Gets his team mates more involved than Dirk. Webber is his team's general and quite an able one too! Leads his team in scoring, rebounding and assists. Now, that is class, surely.

Just choose the Dallas Mavericks as team and Dirk Nowitzki to have a head to head comparison and you will see what I am talking about.

IMO the best 12 in the NBA right now are:
1. Shaq
2. Kobe
3. McGrady
4. Duncan
5. Garnett
6. Iverson
7. Nowitzki
8. Ben Wallace
9. Jason Kidd
10. Webber
11. Pierce
12. Bibby

I would not contest that much, but, for me Garnett is number 1. And Webber, too, for me is above Nowitzki. Admitted that Nowitzki is still young, but, that does not prevent the fact that, at this time, Webber is better.

Are you kidding me??!! There is no shot blocker/rebounder better in the league at the moment - He is averaging something like 20 rebounds a game in the playoffs for God's sake! That is no cheap achievement!

he better get 20 fecking boards a game with him being a liability at the offensive end. Don't kid yourself. If Tim Duncan or Garnett or whoever concentrated solely on defence they would EASILY match Wallace's rebounding numbers. All Wallace does is stand around waiting for Billups or Rip Hamilton to shoot and then crash the boards. Imagine Duncan or KG having that freedom. When you are taking shots you can't go for the rebounds as well. As for no better blocker, Theo Ratliff might have an opinion on that.

And so you say that someone who has been the NBA's best defensive player for two years running now is not worth being in the top 10? But, why? Someone like TMac goes into the top 10 really only on the strength of his offense. He would not have anywhere the same kind of defense as Ben Wallace. I think Wallace excels at what he does and deserves to be in the top 10 quite easily...
