NBA 2022-2023

We can’t fault Silver for salivating at the prospect of two looooong weeks with Lakers-Warriors bickering & 76ers-Celtics slugfest, right?

Tbh coupled with Jokic v Durant (hopefully) and Giannis v Knicks/Cavs, that would be four really great series for a conference semi-finals.

Any word on Giannis availability tonight? I’d hope he can play already as his injury did not look that painful but nothing concrete from Bucks that I can find. I think they may lose this series if he’s not there.

My playoff bracket prediction right now (four days late but okay):

West
Nuggets in 4
Lakers in 6
Kings in 7
Suns in 6

Nuggets-Suns, Suns in 6
Kings-Lakers, Lakers in 6

Suns-Lakers, Suns in 5

East
Bucks in 6
Celtics in 4
Sixers in 5
Cavs in 6

Bucks-Cavs, Bucks in 5
Celtics-Sixers, Sixers in 7

Bucks-Sixers, Bucks in 6

NBA Finals: Suns over Bucks in 7

Just checked and my local provider isn't showing at least G2 and G3 of the Lakers series :(

Any NBA league pass subscribers on here? Is the $18.99/season offer basically a playoff subscription and you can cancel afterwards? Regular season is too boring to pay for.

I have subscribed to League Pass for 5 years. For a while I was able to get the India subscription at like $1 a month but that option has been taken away recently and I have to pay full price. I always cancel it at the end of season and re-subscribe in October.

Damn, this really was a great chance to go up 2-0 against the Grizz without Morant. Annoying loss.

I would love that but my preferred finals would be Sixers-Suns. Then I can just sit back and enjoy it and be happy with whatever outcome.

I wouldn't like Bucks and Lakers in the conference finals though, so hopefully they both get eliminated in this round and the next.

It would be awful. I would have to pick between a player that I really like and the big baby that is about to chose between the US and France.

The Wolves are the best soap opera in sport. There has been a rumor for a while that Tim Connelly, the creator of the Gobert trade was interested in a move to an eastern conference franchise, it is now becoming a bit more concrete with a supposed interest in the Wizard's job.

Clippers are no chance to win anything with Kawhi and PG. They are unable to stay healthy for long enough.

Think if he cares about personal winnings he will pick US, there is gain there, specially in narrative.

Isnt he from that area, either way, do you think Gobert trade was all him? I mean there was a talk way before that how KAT wants to play 4, new owners etc.

Harden ejected for literally nothing. Crazy officiating. Even worse when you consider the Embiid situation ended with just a flagrant 1. Honestly insane decision.

As expected, not the worst effort from the Clippers, but the Suns have too many weapons. Also, Westbrook treating the ball like a dynamite doesn't help.

KD having a trademark game where he doesn’t look like he’s doing anything until you see he has 20 points out of nowhere.

And he’s starting to heat up now.

Wish we could save some of these points for the next couple of games.

I know it isnt as simple as that but you have to wonder how it would go if both George and Kawhi were in. Suns barely won today despite the fact Kawhi was out.

Embiid has to be one of the most unlikeable players in the league.

"I'm to mature to be effected by taunting" right after getting away with kicking a guy in the balls.

This after all the incessant whining throughout the season about not winning MVP.

It’s why I hope he doesn’t get the MVP.

Yes, I think that it was all him, he allegedly was his draft choice with Denver and is a big fan. I also don't think that it has anything to do with KAT who was already essentially playing the 4 under Finch, that's why I was excited when they drafted Kessler since it was a cheap way to go further in that direction and see how a Reid, Kessler and Towns rotation would work. Also the new owners are only the actual owners at the end of the year or early 2024.

That Gobert trade still goes down as one of the worst trades I've ever seen. I'm sure the Jazz wouldn't even trade Kessler for him straight up now.
