NBA 2021-2022

Westbrook career stats:

FG%:43.7, shots/game: 18.7, 3pt%: 30.5, ast: 8.5, pts: 22.9

This season:
FG%: 43.5, shots/game: 15.9, 3pt%: 27.2, ast: 7.4, pts: 18.2

Not really all that different. His MVP year was the last time he shot a decent percent from 3. His ft shooting went down the year after that and has never recovered, kind weird, from low 80s to low 70s.

Lakers were probably screwed, in no position to say no to LeBron even if they thought it was a huge mistake. They got a title out of it so I guess it was a success overall, but unless they find a miracle trade for Westbrook (and Simmons and Harden are gone from that short list), then they're losers until his contract is up.

Can we please pretend this season doesn't exist?

My poor lakers :(

I dont get what was LeBron/Pelinka thinking when they traded for Westbrook, signed Melo,Jordan, and others.

Now LeBron must be thinking a way back to Cleveland aswell.

Players are generally terrible at talent evaluation, particularly with their contemporaries. They often don't really see the decline until it's beyond obvious. It's why the Warriors wanted Avery Bradly, why LeBron wanted Westbrook/Melo, etc.

Man, how incredibly entertaining has Morant been this season? 52 points, big poster dunk and incredible buzzer beater all in one game.

The LeBron to Cavs links are concerning for someone who has actually enjoyed Cleveland resurgence this year and would like the core of Garland, Allen and Mobley to develop over the next years. They would very likely trade most if not all of their young talent once LeBron came in order to give him a ‘win now’ team, even if they say or even think otherwise now, and would be ruined for years to come after that.

Yes would be great for us to get some nice young talent in. Possibly even swing a trade for Davis if we can get someone like a Luka/Giannis/Ja

Maybe they come as a free agent , lets see. AD is a franchise player as well.

Not sure AD is a franchise player. I guess it depends how you define the term. His spell as a Pelican did very little to show he can carry a team in the playoffs. He is certainly far below Giannis and Luka anyway.

AD is not a franchise player i don't think. To be a franchise player you have to be available and his body is just not reliable

Also, Giannis? Even if AD wasn't missing half the season every year it would make no sense, Giannis is plain better than AD

Only a trade would make sense for the players, they'd be losing too much money otherwise. Also Giannis is signed until 2026.

It also feels like AD doesn't really want to be "the guy", but rather "the guy behind the guy". He doesn't strike me as someone who can truly lead a team, not in terms of stuffing the stat sheet - his skill set is nasty - but when it comes setting a constant example and doing everything for wins. Even when fit he looked disengaged in most games ever since he got his ring.

At TD Garden. Halftime. A seat in the bleachers should not be this expensive but Ja is in town, and he's already had one highlight dunk.

Great crowd too.

Two behind at halftime but think we steal this one. I want the second seed, the Nuggets with Murray and MPJ back will be a tough opponent in the first round.

Narrator's voice: they did not steal this one

Warriors are falling apart.

Steph is actually playing ok, while shooting below his standards, but Wiggins+squad who were outperforming early on in the season are regressing hard.

I keep not understanding why teams that are currently good or have interesting developing cores aren't talked about, they don't really have articles about them or anything. Barely broadcasting the Cavs, Wolves, Bulls or Hornets is criminal, these were very interesting teams before the season starts with lots of young talent. Instead they broadcast the L.A. Pensioners every other nights.
