NBA 2021-2022

I'm going to go with Warriors because they have the experience and end of game options.

However, this is going 6 or 7. Foul trouble and depth are going to play a huge role in this series.

If Draymond gets into foul trouble, Warriors will have to rely on Looney and Bjelica, which Hortford can handle. Think Williams will be run off the court for Boston and if Smart gets into trouble guarding Steph, Boston don't have anyone else to turn to at the point.

For GSW, Wiggins and Poole will be important. For Boston, Williams and White have to step off the bench. Both defenses are great, 1 and 2 in the league, but Warriors have the best shooter and scorer in Steph, with the 2nd best shooter in Klay. Boston have the best backcourt defender in Smart, strong wing defenders, and Horford inside.

Best matchup fans could ask for!

I will be rooting for thr Celtics but they have just gone through two 7 game series in a row. It's not about the physical fatigue I worry but more about thr mental aspect of things.
It is a good final on paper, the core of both teams have been built through various drafts.

I’m still mad as the Warriors for abandoning Oakland, I have to root against them on principle. But I think they’ll win.

Boston is the only team in the league with a winning record against Golden State since Kerr took over - the Warriors have struggled against Boston's elite wing depth and size advantage at pretty much every position.

Feels like a very even series on paper, but the Warriors having a big rest advantage and home court might tip it in their favor. Still think this is going at least 6 games.

I can't decide what I think about the Celtics. Against the Nets, I thought they were very good. Against the Bucks, I thought their play was a bit uneven but overall they played well when it mattered. Against the Heat, however, I thought they were really poor at times and in the end if Butler had hit the three at the end could have easily gone home. I'm not sure if it's mental, physical, a bit of both or injuries are starting to take their toll a little bit but it seems to me that they've been getting steadily worse as the playoffs have continued.

The Dubs on the other hand (apart from a couple of games) have remained fairly consistent. Sure their play has been a bit up and down at times but for the most part they've either managed to stay in games and be competitive or have just pulled away and won.

If the Celtics play like they did vs the Nets I think the Dubs could be in trouble. If they play like they did against the Heat I think the Dubs would win in either 5 or 6.

Since the Heat is their most recent performance, I suppose it's the one I should consider the most. So on that basis I have the Warriors in 6.

As a fan, I cannot dream better than Celtics in 6. As a neutral, instead, I would bet on Warriors in 5.

Celtics in 7, although I'm worried about Tatum compared to Steph if it gets to a shootout game

So far we've got.

Warriors: @edcunited1878 @ZDwyr @charlton66 @SirAnderson @Beans @frostbite @Lay @HTG @Bepi @Andy_Cole @Moby

Celtics: @Jim Beam @Skåre Willoch @De Selby @P-Nut @WeePat

If you're rooting for one team but have not made a pick, I'm classifying you as on the fence.

Fence: @kouroux @TheMagicFoolBus
I’m a Bulls fan but I only follow NBA in play off season which makes me a fairly neutral NBA fan. Warriors/ Curry for me has the best story. One of the best teams ravaged by injuries for 2 years and are back fully fit showing their worth. I hope they do it.

@charlton66 naaaaa, please … I’m a Greener, since the glorious admiral Rondo leading Pierce-Garnett-Allen to the 2008 banner and then Perkins going down in the 2010 Finals to gift the Lakers one more ring they did not really need.

I'd rather the Celtics than the Warriors, but I don't wanna see them get ahead of the Lakers again in championships won. So on that basis I'm rooting for the Warriors, and I think they'll win as well.

Won't be unhappy if the Celtics win it though, I really like Tatum. The Kobe armband was nice in Game 7.

You said as a fan you'd go with the Celtics, but you also said you thought the Warriors would win. Therefore I had you down as picking the Dubs.

I'll switch you over to the Celtics.

Isn't he a dubs fan? Why would his pick not be the Warriors?
There's many a time I've wanted my team to win, but didn't think they would. Before the playoffs started I had the Bucks beating the Dubs in the final. Of course I wanted to be wrong and have the Warriors win it all, but provisionally the Bucks were still my pick.

Next season I want United to win the league. I wouldn't pick them to do it though. :(
