NBA 2020-2021

Warriors won’t trade Curry and they certainly won’t do that before they see him play with Klay again. Between Wiseman (who has shown glimpses of his potential already) and their 2021 Minnesota pick they have assets to either build their future or trade for another talented player, they got a new arena they haven’t properly played in with full team yet and they wouldn’t be getting fair value anyway.

KD coming back strong after 2 years out will make them more confident about Klay.

If they are looking like a 10-12th placed team in the conference halfway through the season, I can see them resting Steph and waiting on next season.

Warriors need to trade Draymond away though. And Wiggins and Oubre.

They would have to give up at least one pick to trade Wiggins which I’m not sure they will want to do. They just got Oubre and he expires at the end of year, there’s no reason to move him.

Suns taking down Utah and Denver on back to back road trip is a good sign.

The team is just playing ridiculous on defense which is something I thought I'll never see a Suns team play.
5-1!! Best start since 2009-2010 season
The best thing is that this team still have a few gears to go offensively. Booker is in a slump by his standard. Once he gets going it's going to be much better.
Also, how good is Mikal Brigdes? And Jones is throughly justified in taking Cam Johnson at 11

What's the best they can get for Wiggins and the Minnesota 21 pick?

They won't trade Wiseman away who might be the early contender for rookie of the season.

5-2 now.

Nearly got blown away by the Clippers until we clawed it in.

Amazing thing about Booker's slump is that he's still averaging over 20ppg, just needs to cut down on turnovers and trust in CP3 and we'll do.

Mikal is gonna be right up there as one of the best defensive player in the league by the end of this or next season. His willingness to drive and shoot the 3 ball has opened his game so much. Maybe a Kawhi-lite if he continues to improve.

Cam is incredible really, in the bubble he was out there playing hard defense and driving to the hoop when everyone thought all he had was his 3 ball. I had doubts over whether he could carry it on but he's continuing to show it so far and long may it continue.

Really though, how far this team will go depends on CP3's healthy and how Ayton pans out. He's trying to go for the extra pass on offense when he really should be dunking the ball and getting free throws. He's surprisingly passive on offense when he's showing all his aggression on the defensive end which ties into the defence first mentality that Monty is trying to instill in this team.

Jones and Monty really changed the team around in a short time and it's amazing that Sarver has finally decided to stop interfering with how the team is run and just trust in the GM.

This Rockets Mavs game is getting feisty.

Christ, between Liverpool and the Raptors my sports teams are letting me down right now.

I expected this as a Raptors fan. This year was always going to be transitional and a throwaway season in the sense that we won't get a championship. It doesn't surprise me if our players aren't playing as sharp as they did in past seasons. We should fare better next season when we have a more balance roster and more developed players.

GOAT pissing on beard, you love to see it

I'm pretty sure that the players will act in some way, especially the Washington Wizards players given what's happening in DC at the moment.

The Knicks look like they will be surprisingly mediocre this year? That's a significant improvement.

Gutted for him, was also finally showing glimpses of his potential on the court. That's Orlando's season probably done already, with him and Isaac out for the remainder.

Really feel like the Raptors got shafted this year.

Forcing them to play in Tampa, essentially making it a season on the travel during a pandemic is a joke.

Really feel like the NBA should have just done mini bubbles where teams from 2 divisions play each other in a neutral venue to get their fixtures over and done with before moving on to the next mini bubble to keep it on a level playing field.

One would argue that keeping the players in bubbles for an entire season is a complete joke too, most of them were already fed up with the concept after the playoffs bubble last season and that was a way shorter period than an entire season (+ potentially playoffs). They wouldn't have agreed to do it again for an entire season at all.

It's the corona restrictions that forced Toronto to play in the USA, not the NBA itself. It's not ideal but I'd say it's a necessary evil in all this.

That's why I'm in favour of just skipping the year for all sports.

It's a fecking pandemic, sports ain't that important especially with all the shit going wrong down in the world.

You can see it in the players when they start off strong but then just wilt away. They aren't checked in, mentally, and to them, this season has a big, fat asterisk on it.

No matter what we try, none of it works. The double-teams, the zonal defending, the good, quick passing, the good looks that we get...

Oh well, I didn't expect things to get this bad, but I wasn't expecting a championship or a lengthy playoff run, anyways.

Hoping they can go back to Toronto second half of season and get some wins there though in their current position getting a high draft pick is definitely something they could use too. Their roster isn’t really that promising and overachieved massively last year.

It'll be a while before the Raptors or any other Canadian sports team can play in Canada. We're currently in yet another lockdown, and with how bad Ontario has been in giving out the vaccines, expect more of this from not only the Raptors but other Toronto sports teams.

Honestly, playing in Tampa was never a good idea, and we're starting to see that now. The fact that they had to deal with boos when playing against the Celtics in Tampa is insulting (even if there are tons of Boston/Massachusetts transplants there).

Watching a game from last night. Should I pick 76ers vs. Nets or Mavs vs. Nuggets? I don't know the score of either.

If you haven't started already, Mavs!
Found a site that rates games spoiler free - that picked Mavs too. Pretty low scoring so far (2nd Q) with Luka still struggling to shoot. Highlight was a ridiculous buzzer beater from Murray at the end of the first.

Link? Too many times I've stuck a game on my second screen while working for it to turn out to be a stinker.
