NBA 2019-2020

Thought that call on Kemba at the end of regulation was bad, but this was just hilarious.

They also have Drake. The benefit of being in the bubble.

He's not coach of the year for no reason!

I'm used to the Raptors being on the receiving end of bad calls but they definitely got lucky with officiating last night.

That's Tony Brothers for you. He'll make bad calls on both ends of the court. Fortunately for us, he and the rest of the refs at least kept their standards the same between both teams even if they kept shifting them during the match.

Houston played as well as they could hope. Westbrook showed up and scored 30 and Harden scored 32, they were 40% from 3, 48% from the field and they still lost by double digits.

Really? That's unnecessary negativity. Nothing the Lakers did in this loss looked promising.
Lakers looking good... rockets have been shooting very very well past few games (including a game where they were fourth highest percentage of three pointers made in play offs history) and still lost.

Their best chance this series is that the Rockets can go dead cold from 3 and shoot themselves out of the game as well.

And you'll know it'll happen sooner or later because that's how the Rockets roll.
So far it hasn’t happened but they still lost.... Rockets have shot very well this series but it seems like this Lakers are simply better than even a hot shooting Rockets if they play to their potential.

Houston hacked Davis but he was great from the stripe. Lakers are just too big and athletic.
Not sure what exactly D'Antoni can do, bring in Mbah Moute?
And no one can blame the refs for this one, Harden got every call, even seemed to me like the refs wanted to extend the series.

Yup, Rockets are done. If Westbrook had a better game 2 this could have been 2-2, but the Lakers are clearly the better side, with the better superstars. Also - what a series Caruso is having.

I feel that Flexbrook is getting too much slack. He had one poor game and he isn't even completely fit tbh, whilst Harden often gets a pass for his poop games like the one he had last nig5.

Westbrook’s face though.

As predicted Rockets and Nuggets haven't bothered LA teams too much. Just not enough experience and talent on Nuggets side, and not enough size on Rockets side. Their experiment was fun but couldn't really work against LeBron and Davis in the playoffs. Honestly true playoffs start and end with Lakers v Clippers in the West.

Raptors v Celtics will be so exciting tonight.

Harden scored 21 on 2-11 from the field.

Ah you were talking about game 3.

Harden is one of the strangest superstars in the league. He does seem to actively try to avoid being 'the guy' in a lot of important games/moments. Putting Westbrook's mentality with his skillset would be ideal for Houston.

Westbrook has been killing them all playoffs, both offensively and defensively. Harden can have poor shooting nights too but at least he'll always be guarded. Teams are just leaving Russ free and helping off him all the time - it makes it harder for everyone else around him.

Pathetic performance from every rocket bar Russ

Horrible game all around. We need to learn to close out games. AD and LeBron should have sat at least the last 6 minutes of this games

Ah well. 3-1. Let's close it out and on to the Clippers

He is an overrated player. His decision making is inexcusable and his turnovers ever since he came into the NBA is way too high. He costs his teams so many points with his TO. He runs at full speed and no one, including him, has no idea what he is going to do - whether he is going to pass or shoot and ends up turning the ball over. He won’t win a Championship in his career unless he plays in a super stacked team like if the Rockets add Giannis or someone like that.

They're highly incompatible together, which anybody could tell they will be long before they made that trade.

That is pretty much a common knowledge, everyone knows that and no one's denying it. Both him and Harden in the same team can work during the regular season only, but playoffs are completely different.

The Rockets have totally wasted Hardens best years at this point with that mad scientist in charge.

House is escaping criticism tbh. Unbelievably dumb thing to do that has hurt his team a lot.

This is going right down to the wire. What a series.

Very poor finish by Raptors, first allowing Tatum to get a key rebound and then VanVleet running around pointlessly without any plan whatsoever. They hung in there for a long time but came short in the end.

I expected this, honestly. We don't have a good matchup against the Celtics. We turn over the ball way too often against them, and we only lost tonight because of the numerous turnovers.

Oh well, reaching the ECF would have made this a successful season. I didn't expect us to go beyond the semis, though.

So many turnovers from the Raptors which handed the Celtics 31 points on the night. Disappointing but not surprising considering how much the Raptors have to scrap for everything against Boston.

Talent tells. Talent always tells in the end

Btw, Nurse really dropped the ball in game 7. Playing Gasol for 20 minutes :wenger: he was -19...

Clippers will probably win the next one but it's worrying how they let their leads slip. They could have ended Denver yesterday, how they must play an extra game.

Really like the look of Michael Porter Jr.

Wonder what Nuggets would do to Lakers in a Conference final. The most balanced roster against the most imbalanced.

LBJ could have stayed at Cleveland, would have ended up with an Anthony Davis-type alongside him by now. Not sure what moving to LA added for him career-wise.

Fukc off Westbrook. Getting a fan thrown out because his panties are all in a bunch. Feel free to be good at the basketballs Russ.
