NBA 2018-2019

Bud has transformed Bucks from a slightly .500 team playing inconsistent basketball to the best regular season team playing the most exciting brand of basketball in the league. He has to get the award.

McMillan’s record with Pacers is super impressive I admit but Bud has done beyond that. I actually have Doc Rivers ahead of McMillan too, he basically did the same but in West which is more impressive.
Doc has had a great year. Built that team into an attractive proposition for any of the major FAs. I admit I've been a bit fascinated with the Pacers. Every night I look at their roster and wonder how they win games albeit in the East.

Interesting discussion about best non-USA player. Lets make a list of candidates:
Steve Nash
Dirk Nowitzki
Pau Gasol
Man Utd Ginobli
Tony Parker

Hakeem is the best foreigner, Drazen Petrovic deserves credit for being a trailblazer for Euro NBA players. Giannis will be future GOAT Euro player if everything pans out.

Hakeem as the best Non-US player (Duncan shouldnt count), Dirk as the best European player. Both easy picks.

@Sarni do you have a preference between OKC and Utah? Seems Stotts definitely would prefer Utah considering the line-up he is starting against the Kings.

Portland what are you doing?

Tanking to avoid OKC and play Utah. I have no idea why. I'd take my chances on an inconsistent OKC with a banged up Adams and George over the Jazz. Even if they beat the Jazz they are ensuring that they will get the Warriors in the 2nd round...I have no idea why they are doing it

I'm happy with playing OKC 1st round if it means avoiding gsw 2nd round, will be difficult to go past OKC though.

I had no preference at all, we are losing to either.

The advantage of getting 3rd is that if by some miracle we go past OKC we will play the winner of Denver v Spurs, which would probably be easier than the first round.

I think we would be going to conference finals with Nurk.

Was such a strange game tonight. Layman, Simons and Trent all played full 48 minutes. Simons was amazing, actually.

Wait, what? Portland won? How the hell did that happen

Anfernee Simons happened!

He’s such an underrated draft pick. Realistically this was his college year as he came straight from high school. He’s going to be a good one for us, and will eventually push CJ out of the team.

Houston-Utah
Brooklyn-Philadelphia

Have faith, I see the Rockets winning it all.

Nah, think this will be the last year of GSW winning it. I'm just curious to see if all the bandwagon fans will still support them when they dip.

will probably need 3, 4 days to complete the video but

Houston will not beat GSW.
With OKC we will never know. On their best day they are the second best team in the western C, but they can easily be the worst team amongst the ones making the playoff.
Rest of the teams are stable, but will not win against GSW.

Toronto is the only team in the west that might give some fight to GSW.

RIP basketball if Harden ever wins a ring as a main player, though im confident he wont.

Suppose you mean East? The Bucks are far more likely to give the Warriors a good series than the Raptors are imo.

no one will stop the Warriors. just hope KD actually does leave, so it's at least a little more competitive next season.

Is he even boring? I thought people like that style.

They do? When you do that every single possession, I doubt any neutral likes that style.

I see the comparison between what Harden does on Iso and what Kobe/Jordan used to do, but the difference is the sheer volume and the stupid fouls being called.

I don't mind iso ball but the endless FTs are tough to watch.

Yes he is, Hence why alot of people are not supporting his MVP bid.

Put it this way, The Rockets are in 16th position in home attendance, a poor return for one of the strongest teams in the league. Also Harden's shoes don't sell very well in comparison to other signature sneakers.

A lot has been made this year about how injuries have really impacted who has made the playoffs and who has not. Here's a few stats from the top players who have missed 10 games or more relating to their team's performance when they were on the floor or were out.

Lebron (played 55) 28-27 (50.9%) (out) 9-18 (33.3%)

Kawhi (played 60) 41-19 (68.3%) (out) 17-5 (77.3%)

CP3 (played 58) 39-19 (67.2%) (out) 14-10 (58.3%)

Embiid (played 64) 43-21 (67.2%) (out) 8-10 (44.4%)

Steph (played 69) 52-17 (75.4%) (out) 5-8 (38.5%)

Kyrie (played 67) 37-30 (55.2%) (out) 12-3 (80.0%)

Giannis (played 72) 56-16 (77.8%) (out) 4-6 (40.0%)

Woj has just tweeted that Divac will fire Joerger in face to face meeting today.

I really admire Woj for his connections but this is in very bad taste. Coaches should not find out they are getting sacked via Twitter. Things like that are out of limit, same about the way he ruins the draft night by constantly posting two moves in advance.
