6) jason kidd

Edit: checked...it's not kidd. It's someone i never would have thought of

Also Rondo had 2 20+ assist games in playoffs. Damn :smirk: (magic had like 10 or so )

on 6 - Rondo, Nash, Hardaway, Magic, Stockton - that's 5 I believe? 6th is probably someone 60-70 years ago...

1) What former professional baseball and basketball player later starred in Hollywood, becoming a star in this ABC Western Series? (Name the actor and series; hint he's also credited with the first shattering of a backboard.)

2) Thirteen men have appeared in both MLB and NBA games. Name three. (One should be easy as he's still in management for a certain historic club.)

Yep, had to check it too out of curiosity and wouldn't have ever guessed him.

Here's mine:
6. 6 players have had 20 or more assists in a playoff game, name 5.
9. Which two players hold the regular season record for points scored without registering an assist?

6. Scott Skiles (though that may have been in the regular season)
9. Carmelo is surely one of the two. Dominique the other?

I see Wallace was the answer to #2 but I thought of Chris Dudley immediately.

3. 16 players have made more career free throws than Wilt Chamberlain. Name 2 who are not Jordan, Bryant, Malone, Malone, Dirk, Lebron , Iverson, Kareem, Barkley, Oscar Robertson.
4. Who is the Phoenix Suns all time franchise leader in points?
9. Which player alongside Carmelo Anthony hold the regular season record for points scored without registering an assist?

1) Chuck Connors, the Rifleman.

2) Chuck Connors, Danny Ainge

3) wade, bird

9) .....MacGrady? Wilt? ...

...Isiah?

Hardly surprising but KD is ruled out for Game 1. Still might make the trip for Game 2.

Cousins on the other hand is likely to feature in Game 1.

For my sins I've got to admit I often watch the sports talk shows that are on TV every morning. I know a lot of their opinions are outrageous but for the most part they can be at least argued coherently. Enter one Max Kellerman - the man has finally crossed the line between outrageous and moronic. Last week he was called out by Kyle Kuzma and others for his his absolutely ridiculous opinion on why James Harden should not be first team all NBA even though Harden was eventually voted in as a unanimous choice.

This morning I believe he actually topped that drivel by coming up with this nonsense.

To quote Kellerman "With the fate of the universe on the line with an open shot I'd take Andre Iguodala over either Steph Curry or Klay Thompson." I love Iggy but he averaged 58% from the free throw line this year.

The Universe is doomed..............

I think he just loved being controverse for the sake of being controverse.

There's controversial and then there's dumb. Kellerman is just dumb.
they're being paid to get people talking about them, not for their quality opinion.
...I'm talking about him so on that basis he's succeeded. He's a dumb ass.

To be fair, only Chris Boussard and the other one whom Colin invites often (who also has his own show in radio in the same studio) are not dumb.

Interesting tidbits

-Magic was running the organization through intimidation, causing a lot of the staff to leave and caused two employees to have panic attacks. And through all that he was rarely on the job himself.

-Rich Paul LeBron's agent took the Lakers chartered plane a few times and at times came to practice. And for some reason he complained about Luke Walton to Adam Silver.

- Rob Pelinka would sometimes try to sit in team and coaches' meetings making the team and coaches uncomfortable. He then lied and said that the Warriors GM Bob Myers does the same.

- Lebron has a bunch of his people on the Lakers payroll

-Linda Rambis relishes her title as the "shadow owner".

And that Heath Ledger story went viral this morning.

No wonder they're dysfuntional. Everybody wants control for their own agenda and Jeannie Buss is letting it happen.

If Toronto win both home games to start the series they have a chance. Having listened to the Ringer pod today I am starting to believe...

Well I’ve said multiple times that Toronto have no chance if they make it to Finals so beware.
I was definitely worried about the Raptors.

.....but now I think everything may be OK.

Some overlap with our situation.

Looks quite a mess. That Magic interview with First take was a bit strange also. For some reason, I had a feeling he lied from the start, wasn't natural at all and just wanted to appear in a good light in front of public as his primary motive.

Raptors to lead 2-0, and then Durant to return and lead Dubs to a 4-2 victory.

Or just a gentlemen sweep from Dubs.

Regardless, it would be much more exciting if Raptors win 1 or 2 game while at home.

Bollocks to excitement! I would be quite happy with a 4-0 Dubs sweep thank you very much.

No idea why anyone gives attention to those clowns on First Take. They're shock jocks and I wholly believe they choose sides and say things just to drum up responses. Same with Cowherd, Skip and Shannon, etc. Sports gossip queens IMO. These shows were once fairly solid in my view but have since just gone click baity.

Prefer PTI, Dan Patrick, and Dan Le Batard platforms over these others.
