NBA 2016-17

Easily. If he was less crazy he'd probably be top 5 players in the league although when I come to think of it, maybe actually being less crazy would have made him worse.
Did you watch yesterday when he blocked a three pointer that wasn't going in anyway? It was hilarious.

Lillard went 3-19 last night  Let the tanking commence. There is literally zero sense making the playoffs just to get swept by Warriors, now is the time to get ourselves in the top 5 of the draft and get Josh Jackson or Jonathan Isaac.

Warriors defense was sick in the third season. Sacramento wasn't able even to get near their basket.

Draymond Green made a fool of himself once again.

Draymond's a good player, even a great one, but a massive idiot too.

Heat are back on the winning track after two recent losses. Surprised to see Nuggets lose to Timberwolves at home but it's a good result for Portland as we need Timberwolves to pass us in the standings.

We are 23-33, New Orleans are 23-34, Dallas are 22-34, Minnesota are 22-35. In the East only 4 teams have worse record: New York with 23-34, Philadelphia 23-35, Orlando with 21-37 and Brooklyn with 9-47 (wow). Top 3 projected will be Phoenix, Brooklyn (pick goes to Boston) and Lakers but behind that everyone has a shot. Even if we end up 5th or 6th in the lottery projection it still gives us a very good chance to be top 3. 5th gives you 29% chance of top 3, 6th will give you 21% and even 7 gives you a nice 15%. Our other picks right now would be 22 and 28. Hope we can get to top 6 and have a shot at top 3, could end up with Josh Jackson or Jonathan Isaac.

Oh and Nurkic was class last night. We were +13 with him on the floor, -30 with Meyers fecking Leonard.

Draymond can be a dick, I don't think anybody can defend him on that but up to the point of his dismissal the Warriors had looked almost disinterested for the their last couple of games. Curry, Thompson and Durant are all somewhat laid back and Draymond is the one that often tries to light a fire under them. Not saying that that's what he did last night, but whatever he did the Dubs sure kicked arse during that third quarter.

I don't think they need nearly as much 'fire' as he has during regular season, laid back attitude could work in their favour when playoffs come and they are not exhausted like they were last year. Cleveland cruised through games during regular season last year without caring about the record.

The difference is though that the Cavs could finish eighth in the East and still make the finals. I think the number 1 seed is much more important in the West. I actually think apart from a brief spurt in January to let folks know he could still do it if required, Steph Curry has coasted through the entire season. I'm not sure Draymond knows how to coast.

What I also think is interesting is that when either one of the "brothers" top scores for the Dubs, they are 30-2, when Durant top scores they are 17-7. I think Durant tries to play hard every game. Based on their experience last year I think Curry and Thompson only get their finger out when they feel like it. When they do though - look out!

1st seed is not important in the West anymore IMO, Warriors are clearly a level above everyone else and only Spurs could possibly threaten them - and at a big, huge push.

Personally, I still fear the Spurs, they have a habit of winning close games. The Dubs have a habit of losing them. If the two teams have to play each other I would much prefer to have 4 games out of 7 at Oracle.

Holy shit, KAT has not been chosen for all star game. Jordan and Hayward ahead of him.

Hayward has been better than him and it's good that Jordan gets appreciated for what he is.

Yeah I was really hoping Hayward to make it.

Anyway here's a bit of mid-season bottom lining by the TNT blokes.

Bit off topic , but does anyone play the game nba 2k17 on ps4?

So Kyrie Irving doesn't believe the Earth is round, eh? What the actual feck

Felt bad for Curry then. Was really hoping he would make one of the shots.

Disappointing Saturday night tbh. Air Gordon didn't show this year :(

Pretty average all round really. 21 wins 3 pt contest, dunks pretty decent, but not great and no long bombs from Steph.

NBA HoF is the most diluted of all the HoF...so with that in mind,

C-Webb, T-Mac, Tim Hardaway - where we at people?

Don't automatically dismiss them - C-Webb despite the injuries, actually has really good career numbers, T-Mac was out of this world for a period of time. Hardaway is weird - but, I'm old to have watched Run TMC.

What a steal for New Orleans! Evans is an expiring, Hield is not all that and Galloway is a bench player. Terrible deal for Kings, New Orleans pick this year will probably not even end in lottery now that they got Cousins. A frontcourt of Boogie and Davis is just completely insane.

I wonder why they couldn't get a better offer. He was linked so many times with Portland and we thought we would have to give up multiple picks and CJ. CJ alone is a much better deal than what they got.

Wooooow ok. It's a great front court for sure not an awful lot behind it though. You would think they have an idea of what they can bring in through FA for their back court.

Kings continue to be the Kings.

How on Earth did Pelicans manage to do this? Kings being the most ridiculous franchise in the history of universe.

The real question though is: why didn't Boston make an attempt for him? They have a lot of resources and they need a big man.

Holiday is a good player and they will have a lot of cap space in the Summer if they can offload Asik and maybe Hill. I will not be surprised to make a great offer for CP3's return and he might be tempted. If they could keep Jrue and get Paul, you have proper challengers there. Even if you have Jrue and someone like Caldwell-Pope and another behind them, it is plenty good.

Not sure you need amazing backcourt to compete anyway when you have Davis and Cousins. If they click they will be impossible to defend for the likes of Warriors and Cavaliers. Warriors struggled to defend Cousins when they played Kings.

When you realize how absolutely great both Cousins and Davis are it starts to sink that we will be seeing a frontcourt that is capable of scoring 80+ together on many nights. If they surround them with decent talent, these are proper challengers.
