NBA 2016-17

You haven't watched Harden in a while, have you? That's the stupidest assessment of him I read here, you do know Harden has the highest assist per game and has the highest offensive rating in the league, and tbh he has been good defensively this year, Currys defense while good is hardly impressive, 7 assists per game is average for a PG as well.
My guess is Eboue was being flippant since he was responding to the stupidest assessment of Curry I've read on here. You do realize because of his shooting skills he is often double and triple teamed leaving team mates open for easy baskets. You do realize he has probably the finest handles in the game and unlike most top 3 point shooters can create his own shot out of nothing. You do realize as Eboue pointed out he led the league in steals the last two seasons. You do realize that by pointing out that 7 assists is average for a PG that you really show your ignorance in reference to Golden State since Curry is a PG in name only and Draymond actually leads the team in assists. You do realize that by saying he is awful when he is not making his shots that you are critiquing a player who went 50/45/90 last season and averaged over thirty points a game and is close to doing the same this year (49/44/90 and 27pts/g) - in other words he is making his shot way, way, way more times than he is not relative to normal human beings. You do realize he was the first unanimous MVP. You do realize that the consensus among NBA pundits/players past and present is that he is the finest shooter that has ever lived.

Trouble is, maybe you don't realize and you were serious about the ridiculous comments you put out there.

Even though I personally prefer watching KD as he can score in a variety of ways and plays the style that I prefer, Curry on form is still the best offensive player in the league and easily the most explosive threat you can face.

Christ, you really missed the point. Which was that you can't just casually reduce great players to only their best attribute. "Curry only shoots well!" "Harden only draws fouls!"

Ah yeah well I'm not saying he isn't great and his shooting is not on another planet, Curry is def top 5 talents in the league, I'm just saying he looked awful against the Celtics because his shot wasn't falling

I was talking about the Celtics game, he was throwing the ball to the stand, he wasn't shooting well, just looked baad, not saying he isn't a great player.

The Dubs almost contrived to throw that one away. Up by 11 with 5 minutes to go to up by 2 with under a minute. Whew!

To be honest, you can almost not bother watching Warriors games any more - they are getting to be so predictable. Start off badly and go down by double figures, go on a run (usually around the end of the second quarter, beginning of the third) to go up by double figures then hold on/cruise at the end. I'm sure it can be very entertaining for the neutral, but to me they often give the impression that they think the game is won before it is and sometimes (like tonight) it almost bites them in the arse. It's getting a bit irritating now. If they expect to win a Championship playing like this, I think they need to think again.

I mean you can make a case for hat, but both Cleveland and GSW know that, barring catastrophoc injuries, they're meeting again in the finals. Only difference is that Cleveland plays in the east, where even the presumed 2nd and 3rd seeds (Toronto and Boston) have major flaws, let alone the rest of the conference.
I'm not sure any more. The Warriors defense is dire especially when Pachulia is in the game. Any team in the west that can play defense is going to make it a tough series and if the Dubs do manage to get past them all to get to the final, just like last year they will end up playing an extremely fresh Cavs team who have strolled through the East with one (or possibly both) hands tied behind their backs. The season is early and there is plenty of time for things to turn around. I'm just hoping that Damian Jones will end up being the second coming of............ well, anybody really that can protect the rim/block a shot to be honest and that's presuming he even gets to play.

In a pretty loss against Pacers without their two best scorers.

To be fair though he scored the game tying shot. They should have never been behind against this Pacers team in the first place though.

Why? They're a shit team right now.

But Pacers are dreadful. Beside a team that has Oladipo, Kanter and Adams is not a shit team. All are decent players.

I like Russ but they're really not a shit team. Russ just exacerbates this SOMETIMES. As an example, last night they were -18 with him on the floor in 40 minutes but +18 and +19 respectively with Kanter (25) and Grant (15) on the floor.

What I thought was more interesting though was the commentary at the end of the game which basically said that not only did Westbrook need to get his team mates more involved at the end but it was up to his team mates to show more responsibility and be prepared to step up themselves. They were basically saying that the rest of the team defer way, way, way too much to Russ and for want of a better terminology show some bollocks and be prepared to take that last shot themselves with the game on the line instead of always putting it in Russ's hands.

Another triple double for Mr. triple double.
I've finally figured it out. It's not that you are impressed with Westbrook's stats, it's just that you want us to vote for you in the "Current Players only NBA Draft" competition since Russ is on your team. Smooth. ;) :)

Oklahoma this season is basically Westbrook for MVP show. I don't think they will get home court advantage at all and might not even make it to playoffs. First three spots are a lock for Warriors, Clippers and Spurs in whichever order they come. Then you have Blazers, Grizzlies, Jazz and Rockets who are also solid teams and will probably finish above .500. Then again there is a lot of dross down there too - Pelicans or Mavericks have no chance while Nuggets, Timberwolves and Suns despite their youth have been very poor. Lakers have looked good but that is not a playoffs quality roster.

 Let's hope that competition even goes ahead!

But it's no secret that I'm a big fan of Russ, absolutely love watching him play!

Can we look at that stat for all Thunder games this season?
Sure - have at it. But remember no matter what you find I did emphasize "sometimes" so I am covered no matter what. ;)

No doubt his game is fun to watch, and this season he is def top 5 in NBA right now.

I thought the referee from the Arsenal game was awful but feck me this decision from the Raptors - Kings game :wenger:

Had it been LeBron or Curry 100% that would have been called.

Half court shot from Steph.

Just after the buzzer.

Russ is averaging 31.6/10.4/9.7 so far. Would be amazing if he can be the first man since the Big-O to achieve that incredible feat.

OK, OK, I'll vote for your team.

I'd be extremely happy if the playoff standings in April looked like this.

I hope he does it, it would be amazing to see.

I think that if LBJ was in a poor team he would be achieving that every season though.

He should have till he was at Cleveland till 2010. His problem was he didn't realise how good he was till a long time, which is rather scary knowing what he still did. Anyway, that's another tedious discussion.

WTF. Lakers blowing a big lead, not scoring in the last 3 minutes. And Nick Young steals a pass from his own teammate and scores a 3.

Westbrook with a lot of points again. His team lost to Lakers and he blew the final two shots (bailed out by Adams on one) but I don't think it's important.
