NBA 2014-2015

I don't see the Thunder making the playoffs in this state.

It would be pretty sad if they don't. Durant and Westbrook should be in the play offs, also the OKC fans sound like one of the loudest in the playoffs.

I'm about done with this season. I think I said that a few weeks ago but it is really close now. Don't know what is wrong with this team. Just seems to be so dysfuntional and lack leadership. Brooks has got to go.

Annnd the raptors lose to the bucks after a 6-0 streak. An absurd scoreline too :wenger:

Don't like the Cavs doing well, hope they get matched up against the Bulls in the playoff.

Going out on a limb there.

Chicago come good and take them out though, deal with it.

I wouldn't mind the Bulls winning, or the Hawks, Wizards or Raptors. I think it's safe to rule out the Bucks and rest of that shite conference.

Looking at the odds Toronto and Washington are long shots so it comes down to the Hawks, Bulls and Cavs. I trust Lebron to come through in the big games and if Kyrie and Love get hot they might even do something in the finals.

The odds for the Cavs have been the same all year pretty much give or take, second favourites. Started behind Spurs, now behind GSW. Bookies are correctly petrified of them, LeBron has help, so you just never know.

Hawks and Bulls technically should be able to take them though fully fit regardless of the Bulls super dodgy home form, but LeBron is a difference maker. Rose is heating up slowly and is still inconsistent, but what a cast he has around him now, I just wish the Bulls could stay fit. GSW/Hawks would be an odd finals in the ultimate superstar sport, two teams, and despite Curry being awesome, he's not really a "face" of the NBA just yet....

Oh god, we choked in the final 2 mins and let Grizzlies snatch the win.

I didn't watch the game, but I was keeping an eye on the score, knowing that at any moment Isaiah Thomas was going to feck around and start scoring. We've had your number for a while for some odd reason.

Hoping you guys make the playoffs ahead of the Thunder/Pelicans

You guys always win because we lack the bigs to trouble you all in the paint and resort to taking 3s, which inevitably results in us shooting us out of the game. Len's development is pretty good, he gave Marc some trouble in the previous game but he still has issues because our guards don't trust him enough to give it to him when he's open.

Bulls have the roster but they aren't actually making any push for the top. They could exit the playoffs really early, they just aren't consistent. Hawks going far would be really weird for me but it'd be interesting I think.

Bulls would be much better if they just realise Rose should no longer be their go to guy to close out the game. Butler is so much better at it now but they still keep going to Rose instead.

Bulls on paper look like the strongest team in the East but, like the Cavs' this season they have holes that were not immediately apparent. Last season with Rose injured and Deng traded eventually the offense ran through Noah. Now with Rose back and the addition of Gasol(who is a better scorer and passer than Noah) Noah really does not have a role in this offense. Plus with his injuries Noah is not making the same sort of impact defensively he made last season. Rose has been understandably inconsistent this season. Gasol has added a lot to them offensively but, he kills them on the defensive end. Butler got off to a great start this season but, with how many minutes he plays a night he is already running on fumes. They do not have a natural 2 guard on the roster. Hinrich has been one of the worst rotation players in the league but, he is still playing 27 mins a night for them. They drafted McDermott to give them another shooter and he has given them absolutely nothing this season. Dunleavy is their only consistent shooter and he has been out for a month.

And Hinrich's running mate at Kansas Nick Collison just got another extension. I guess OKC's loyalty to Nick Collison is commendable but, makes very little basketball sense. Collison gives them nothing an average D league big man could not give him. Maybe he is the greatest guy in the locker room but, he kills them on the court.

Gasol has been labeled as a stat stuffer who is harming Chicago at both ends of the court, according to some NBA writers. Not sure whether this has some truth to it.

I wonder how much longer Chris Paul's window of title success will be open. The Clippers haven't really improved in the past couple of years, and he is almost 30. You can play longer into your 30's these days, sure, but he just hasn't been at his elite best in the past 18 months or so. It was sad to see Steve Nash miss out on a ring (his Suns team is still my favourite since I've watched basketball), I hope CP3 isn't the latest great point guard to retire without a championship.

He's one of the reasons why Chicago have been so poor defensively IMO. And Noah has been nowhere near his best at both ends.

He is never going to win a ring as a Clipper, they may have a good regular season team consisting of BG,DJ and CP3 etc but they still don't have the components of a playoff team, their bench is weak, their big men can't shoot free-throws, they don't have the ability to win a 7 game series -especially when the game slows down - as it does during the playoffs.

If he is son invested in getting a chip, he should consider teaming up with Carmelo while they are still superstars, or he may end up chasing rings in the latter stages of his career as a role player.

This to me is their biggest problem, i think their front office should start shopping D-Rose out for possible trade deals, whilst they still have Gasol,Noah and Butler.

It's really not. Butler hasn't been as good offensively as he was at the start of the season and Rose was their player who stepped up the most against the better teams. He hasn't been as consistent as he was before the injuries, but that applies to the whole team and Rose has been relatively consistent against the better teams/point guards. Rose is the scapegoat for an underperforming team.

I think its only natural that he is the scapegoat after being injured for 2 years, i also feel like with Rose the Bulls don't know where they stand and so there is always a need for a contingency plan... besides he hasn't exactly been the old Derrick Rose, granted Butler has stopped being the "Jimmy Jordan" he was when the season started, he is still leading the team in scoring, Noah is the one who needs to step up - but with the injury he had this season he might not return to his old self until the playoffs.

He might not be the old Derrick Rose he was, but he was still their best player against Golden State, Portland and several other teams with great point guards in recent weeks. There were games where he was carrying them on his own offensively, whereas Gasol has cooled off a bit. He didn't do that at the start of the season and you never know with his injury record, but he has been getting better and better. They have more than one problem and their biggest problem isn't Derrick Rose currently, it's their defence.

When your PG is jacking up 3s and not getting the rest of the team involved in offense, of course they're not going to look good. Butler and the Bulls look so much better when Rose is on the bench, instead of dumping bricks the court.

Butler has chased down so many games in the 3rd quarter only for Rose to takeover in the 4th and throw the game away for them. His ego is holding back the team right now, Rose is no longer an elite PG in the league, he's above average at best.

Anthony freakin' Davis. Are you serious. Can't catch a break this season.

He's untradable. No one would touch his contract with his injury track record and the fans would turn on the front office for dumping their beloved hometown hero.
