Frankly I could care less as I dont like the spurs

I get the whole loyalty thing, but it seemed like the fans had a sense of entitlement from the way Searl put it. He's done a lot for the team and the city has returned a lot of love as a result, and it would be nice if that would continue because they have a good thing going. I think they owe him just as much as he owes them.

As for Ronaldo, I think he owed the fans a little more respect (especially after they stood by him after the whole World Cup incident), and that involved at least honoring more than a year of his contract to most people. But I don't think he necessarily owed the fans in the sense that he should have turned down Madrid's offer and kept playing for us. I think most people were able to accept it when he finally did leave since he stayed and played well for another year. There hasn't been much animosity towards him since his departure, but I don't know how much of it is because Tevez started mouthing off.

"Disgruntled Memphis guard Allen Iverson returned to his home in Atlanta after receiving permission to leave the team to attend to personal business."

Personal business eh... hmmm

The Nuggs trade for Billups last year for essentially Iverson was a fuking steal

What an end to the first quarter between Cavs and Heat. Lebron and Wade trading baskets - Lebron dunks over Wade. Wade responds with a fadeway 3 over LeBron from way downtown. LeBron then beats the buzzer.

Post-game was interesting, talkin about changing his number... In my opinion, that's not what someone commited to his club should do, it's obviously a marketing tool for wherever he goes, and is using the MJ thing as an excuse to dodge questions.

LeBron should change his number though he is no MJ

I've barely followed NBA for a decade now, other than occasionally checking the Bulls boxscores. But for some reason several of my mates have started following it reasonably closely so I've decided to follow suit.

Can anyone give me an assessment of the Bulls roster? I had a read of a Bulls forum yesterday and was surprised to discover that they've lost Ben Gordon, which strikes me as a fairly disastrous thing to happen. There doesn't seem to be anyone left over from the young Bulls team that promised so much during the middle of this decade.

What's the rest of the roster like? Luol Deng seems to have come a long way since the last time I paid any attention to basketball and he seems to be putting up good numbers. Kirk Hinrich on the other hand seems to have become a spastic. I see Brad Miller is back, although the photo I saw seems to suggest that he's swallowed another player whole.

I don't know anything about the rest of the roster tbh. If someone could help me fill in the blanks, that'd be nice

Ta.

You seem to have missed checking out Derrick Rose. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, read a bit about him, sounds like a good prospect. The thread on the Bulls board seems to be suggesting he can't shoot however.

We need to tempt Jordan out of retirement again and sign him up.

If only to stop the bizzare cnut making any more speeches.

Haha the Lakers are still the best team in the NBA, but I think the Nuggs will be tough for them in the playoffs, the Nuggs have a great team top to bottom

Just what you all wanted to read. More Kings news.

Early rumblings of a trade between Sacramento and New Orleans.

Kenny Thomas (and his monster $8.7M expiring contract) for Emeka Okafor (5 years, $10.8M growing to $14.8M by the final year which is also a player option).

REACT!

And the Bulls ease past Sacramento to post their best start to a season in 12 years.

Tremendous.

That should have been a technical foul

That was hilarious. Don't know if it is a technical. On what grounds? Like many people have said, he can just argue that he was throwing it out of the way so others won't step on it and roll their ankle or something lame like that.

Well intent aside, disposal of another players gear as was is a delay of game technical foul... I'd get into the rulebooks but i've been called for the same thing in the past and it is FIBA law... However, whether or not it's NBA law i'm not sure.

Yeah..they should just standardise the rules. It's like NBA for the league and FIBA for the rest of the world. Don't think it will happen any time soon though..

The thing is that the NBA is the best league in the world by miles, they shouldnt change their style, it is far more entertaining than FIBA style in all honesty. If I want to watch good technique there is always college ball. Both have their nuances.

That JR Smith spinorama was sexy as feck

Just saw my first full Bulls match in about 10 years. My verdict is that Derrick Rose's jumpshot is almost Dennis Rodmanesque. Truly terrible shooter. He's an athletic freak and lethal when he drives, so I suppose if he ever develops a decent 18 footer he'll be a fine player.

The other thing that stood out to me is Noah's defence. I'd heard he was handy at that end of the court but it really stood out to me in the first half. The number of turnovers he affected by himself was really impressive.

Haha The Worm didnt have a 6 foot jump shot, great player though, one of the best rebounders ever. Give Rose time, he could be a star

Rose is my favorite player to watch right now... along with Durant, those 2 guys are great great players

That Jennings kid is great to watch as well. He's a smooth shooter too. Shooting 55% from the 3-point line is ridiculous and Bucks without Redd is 7-3!

I love the fact that he called out Rubio too. Dont remember what he said but the kid was right. He is the next AI

any weakly shows out there i could download for catching up the whole league?

I sang this kids praises last season and wanted Toronto to get him so bad... feck Calderon.

Eeeh not much I know of, NBA.COM - Where amazing happens. usually have fantastic highlights in the mornings so that might be your best bet.

Iverson will wait a couple months then catch on a top side and hope to ride that club to a championship, much like Mitch Richmond did in LA many moons ago. Although I'd expect Iverson to actually contribute more than Richmond did. I can easily see him going to Boston or Phoenix later. Granted I'm not an NBA follower by any means so I might be off in which club actually could use him.

If he wants to win a championship and put his ego aside, he'll have to accept a bench role (unless he comes in as an injury replacement). Otherwise, good luck on a shit team if he returns.

NBA: Where will Allen Iverson go next? | iverson, grizzlies, one - Sports - The Orange County Register

He'll come back in a role as the "savior" for a contender... ala Rafer alson in Orlando last season.

It just depends on where the injury falls... Portland with Andre Miller at PG is a tempting picture

AI will be back and will get axed after coming back which will be doubly amusing
