Was at the beach most of the afternoon today, fall weather is coming. I post from my iPhone a fair bit too. But yeah when I am watching television, I almost always have a tray with a laptop on it sitting on me lap

It's coming... Lakers will saunter to it with Kobe and Artest, they are the best two perimeter defenders since MJ and SP

Yeah the Cavs have as well

Lakers are down right now

That was a sick dunk by Shannon Brown, Lakers down big though

So through the first few games, Melo looks MVPish haha, that said Denver have the same important players they had last year which were quite effective they lost to the Champions but in all honestly outplayed them for most of the first four games of the series and were unlucky to be tied 2-2 going back to LA. I think they are still second faves in the west behind the Lakers. I think the Lakers will fail to deceive in teh regular season this year and probably not finish top of the West but when the playoffs come around having 2 perimeter defenders like Kobe and Artest will make the difference, let alone a charactar like Odom as well. And if Bynum gets better dos in a ros. That said I think the Nuggs are in with a chance, with Billups they have probably the best PG all around in the NBA, there are plenty of flash guys who Magic like, CP3, TP-Longoria haha, and Steve Nash, but they arent the same defensive force as Billups in fact albeit they are good defenders in reality they are a bit of a liabilty. Derron Williams reminds me a bit of Billups can do it at both ends, which is really important, because part of the battle is done if you can take the ball out of the player who is the best dribbler, and passer on the other team.

Haha, a bat just flew onto the court in the Kings v Spurs game and Ginobili just freaked out and took a swipe at it and killed it.

Look for PETA picketers to come out to the next Spurs game.

The NBA, where amazing happens

Won about 45 bucks off that game actually, for some reason Proline had the Mavs at 9.10, so I put a fiver on that and shizam.

Shit the Nuggets are looking good, didnt know if they would fade or not this year from 2nd in the West but I think they are in with a shout behind the Lakers. Ty Lawson was a good pickup.

Nobody gave my opinion respect but I said Ty was gonna be the RoY... good start

CHI TOWN STAND UP !!!

8.15 -10.5 spread, you're damn right im putting 10 bucks on that

Cha-CHING

5 minutes after I put down the wager it was taken off the market

LeBron in NYC reminds me of the Ronaldo situation it will happen, maybe Miami though...

If this new Russian billionaire gets his hands on the Nets financially, and with the Jay-Z factor, I think LeBron to Brooklyn sounds more legit.

Yeah LeBron is about now, there is no reason for LeBron to even think about going to the Nets atm. I've been saying the Heat for ages and I really see it happening either that or he'll stay with the Cavs or end up with teh Knicks

Well right NOW you're 100% right, but if this guy can get financial control of the Nets he'll max it out

Yes but the Nets arent going to be in Brooklyn for at least a few years regardless; plus I highly doubt that they would be able to play at MSG as Cablevision owns the Knicks and MSG so they will have to build there own arena which is easier said than done in NYC

They wouldn't play at MSG, that's a conclusion.

If Atlantic Yards falls through, which Bruce Ratner would NEVER let happen, they'll play in Newark, and this pre-season they played 2 games at the Prudential Center and they were very successful... I doubt the project dies though, it's rumored that Ellerbe Becket, who is a arch and design man, was paid nearly 3 million for this project up front... With that kind of money changing hands for blueprints, I can't see this failing.

The contract states that this is the year the Nets can bow out of their contract at the Izod, and if not they're stuck until 2013, far too long from now.

As of right now you're 100% correct: the move is still 2 years away, but it's a team in process and if promised a spotlight, LeBron can be the face of that "other" New York team.

If Prokhorov gets his way, LeBron will have a nice endorsement cheque to go with the contract with the Nets, there's no doubt in my mind that this could happen.

Atlantic Yards is a huge fecking project, and the Barclays Center arent gonna pop up that quickly, especially given the financial times. It will happen just later rather than sooner

Avoided because of the Prok though the financial issues... if he has his say this will be done ASAP.

I've been following this project pretty close and the one difference maker between this being a reality for 2010/11 and 2013/14 is this guy.

I guarentee that for 2011/12 the Nets will be in BKLYN

LeBron's going to head somewhere where one of the other big-name free agents head. Otherwise I'd be absolutely convinced he'd head to Miami if Wade wasn't a free agent as well.

LeBron and DWade would be possibly the best combo of all time, they have the potential to be better than Pippen and Jordan

By far.

I can see LeBron-Bosh as well, but there's a smidgen of hope in my mind that says Bosh will have a break-out year, we will be great this season, and with all the hope he AT LEAST takes his option for one more season.

One thing alot of people are forgetting is, that of the big 5 available this off-season (LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Gay, Stoudemire), they all have restrictions, both player and team options (In Amares case, it's a termination offer that is more than likely to be excersized)... this off-season COULD be a dud, making the summer of 2011 the BIG one with Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Yao Ming, Pau Gasol, Caron Butler, David West, Jason Richardson, AK47, Michael Redd, TJ Ford and Josh Howard all on tap as is...

However you'd imagine that rather than contracts being optioned for extension, they'd be expended outright.

Tim Duncan will stay with the Spurs, could see Parker going to LA because of Longoria

Yeah the Duncan thing has been talked about in Texas circles because alot of people feel he owes the franchise, making it more thank likely he'd take a discount to help the team long-term, while sticking around.

Basically, become the new David Robinson...

I think it's an outrageous way to look at things but probably not too far from the truth.

He is pretty humble, he doesnt seem like he would be one to bolt, as long as they give him a fair contract which they will he will go nowhere

Wait. Maybe I'm not seeing things, but enlighten me on how they think HE owes the franchise after delivering four rings.

They have paid him over a 100 million dollars, it would be like Giggs going to another club

Gotcha, why did everyone on here get so pissed off when Ronaldo left then?

He doesnt necessarily owe the franchise anything, but he does owe the fans

He neither owed the fans nor the club. The 'owe the fans' is just a laughable idea that supporters believe in as it overstates their self importance and boosts their ego. The club paid him a wage that matched his performances on the pitch and his marketability off it. If he were mediocre or his performances didn't match his wages, they would have sold him to cut their losses like Butt or Phil Neville

If Ronaldo owed anyone anything, it's probably SAF and the coaching staff.
